Renee, i think you are wise to get your body in order first. Like you said, it is way to much money to not have everything in order.

I am sorry you and your son are having to go through this. Does the base have any kind of big brother program so little boys could spend some time with a big guy? I don't know if that would help but maybe.

I guess you will be doing the cycle in Jan or Feb? Have you talked to your doc about doing hcg booster shots or vaginal progesterone instead of PIO. I have read that many clinic do that now and it is just as effective.

Hang in there. I am sorry things didn't go just as planned.

HUGS, Kelly

Hi ladies,

I want to say thank you to everyone for your support. You helped me get through my first cycle... My transfer went wonderful. We put back 2 grade 1 expanded female blasts, and 1 grade 2 female blast.

PGD report was nothing less then amazing, WE had 9 females normal and 3 males that were normal. 5 were not normal and will be disgarded. I still cannot believe how many females we had. The embriologist did not want to put more then the 2 grade 1's, Her and Dr T feel that with my lining be so optimal that they will most definitly produce twins. DH and I wanted to be sure so we insisted on putting back 3...

Hey I figured I would jump in if it's o.k. I am 41 and will turn 42 in Feb. I've had 6 failed IVF cycles and 3 failed IUI's (although #5 ended in etopic pregnancy). My last one was in Feb. right around the time that I turned 41. I decided to stop then, mainly because of the financial aspects. My insurance pretty much covered all 6 ivfs at 100% (I had to may some co-pays for appts and medications, but in the end it was minimal). After that, however, I wasn't completely ready to give up and kept on w/ acupuncture and herbs and did the ovulation thing. The TCM was more of an experiment than anything else. I have been trying to get on w/ my life and try not to dwell on the failures, but there are times when I wonder if I should do one more or cut my losses and just move on. It's hard to know when enough is enough or when you should keep on trying.....

Anyway, I wish you all the best and good luck to you all!

Hello kbat. I think you should go to 2 places. One is ivfconnections. It is free to register, go to the Colorado board and read up on all the CGH stuff then go to haveababy.com also free to register and go the the communication & discussion boards to the Las Vega board and also read all the CGH announcements and threads. If you are going to go for one last time you should go all out and do whatever gives you the best shot. If you can't figure out what i am talking about let me know. But the key is butting back a genetically normal embryo and with cgh you can do that. Also, have you been worked up for clotting and immunological issues. The chances that you put back some good one in your thirties are good. Maybe you need ivig or blood thinners so the embryo can implant or so that you don't reject it. SIRM is big on that stuff and has gotten a lot of women babies that never have been able to before. Find out as much as you can about these things and these CCRM and SIRM and i would pick one of them if you can swing it. Also SIRM offers free consults and sometimes they are free at CCRM and other people have to pay $250 i think. But with times getting tight maybe they will go to all free as well. All just food for thought. I just hope you find peace in whatever you decide to do. That is the key. Sorry i know that was a rambling mess.

Lynnie go see his response about banking biopsies and embryos then sending them all for testing at once for 1 fee. I will get the cost next week.

Thanks for the info--it wasn't rambling. I had already looked in SIRM and CCRM. My 2 biggest issues are one we really can't travel to far. My husband's job is quite demanding and it's hard for him to change things at the last minute. 2 is the financial aspect. I am going to look into my new insurance to see if they will cover any or all of the procedure. If they do, then I will be limited as to where I can go (paying 100% out of pocket isn't an issue for me right now).

I am really debating since I really tried to move on. But w/ someone I know getting pregnant, it makes me want to try again. I suppose I should look into insurance because depending on what they say, will determine what I will do next. They may see my "history" and not want to cover it....

Have you looked into shady grove fertility? The clinics are out your way. They have a great shared risk DE program. It is virtually risk free. 100% refund if you are not successful.

If you have read through you see Elida had ET Friday using 3 donor eggs but that is something that you don't have to rush on. You have a long fertility shelf life if you go that route.

We are also paying 100%. The debt won't sting so bad if it works out but if we end up without a baby and broke. Now that will super suck!

I hope the insurance thing comes through. KUP

I know, My RE really did not want to since he said the 2 grade 1's will be twins. I really dont want to get pregnant again when I am 43 or so. I dont want my baby to be an only child, so we wanted to be sure..

I am off to church, check in later
