Hi Cinci- grr- back to work- what a bummer- I am sure Aubrey is in excellent hands and, though she misses you, I'm sure, she'll do great.
I am not sure what to do- I wanted to go back to school in January, but I have no idea where to even start to find someone to look after Pulman, or how much it might cost. I may end up deferring for the semester and take it from there.

Suga- I have a sleep wedge with adjustable position sides that seems to work well for him- perhaps this would work for the girls to get them back to bed instead of seats - it is about a 3" wedge, and perhaps you could even prop it a bit more, then slowly lower it once they get adjusted to the cribs again.

oops- got to go!

Yeah they have a wedge under their sheet that props the one end up but they usually slide down it! So I am thinking of buying a wedge that holds them in place later today. I bought one before that was elevated but Mackenzie slid right down it. She is a mover in her sleep! We shall see! I am going to start doing all sleeps at my mom's over Thanksgiving so she is there to help. So we are toting along the travel crib. I am not going to do Brooke yet....I think she will be easier anyways! If she is tired she sleeps anywhere on anything!

It is so weird. Brooke has GREAT sleeping habits! I mean naps great, goes to bed on time, etc etc. Kenzie...holy cow. She wants to do her own thing! So I can not get them on the same nap schedule whatsoever! There are times that they do it at the same time but those are rare these days. At least she goes to bed at the same time as Brooke. I would do something, dunno, if that did not happen!

Also, when Kenzie is backed up....she only eats like an ounce of milk! So I have to Kayro her up today or suppository because she needs to eat. Hopefully she does it on her own by the end of the day.

Our first long car trip is tomorrow! Only three hours so the plan is to feed them and pack them in the car and go so maybe we can be at the destination before they eat again.

Happy Turkey Day all!

Cinci- sorry to hear about having to go back to work. I have a lot of respect for working moms. Even though dh doesn't make much, I am glad we are able to pull it off for now, although I do expect to go back for next school year.

loopie- I continued schooling just to keep my loans out of repayment. Fortunately, I have some awesome professors and this sesmester both of my classes are from home and next semester one is. I could have never done it at campus, I am having enough trouble doing it from home, but my professor said take as much time as i need, he is awesome!

sugarbeanz- good luck on the road trip. i am sure they will be fine. our first road trip went well even with stopping. I just take my time with everything, who cares if a trip takes longer.

jomae- i don't know how you manage with a toddler around too, i think about that everytime i think about having another, and it certainly gives me a new appreciation for moms of multiples (sugarbeanz!) good luck with the colds too, i am dreading cold season, i don't even want to take her outside just to prevent it.

Well, Happy Thanksgiving to everyone here and enjoy the holiday. I just wanted to say something about Thanksgiving this year. I am always thankful for my loved ones, but this year, this holiday has a whole new meaning. We all have so much to be thankful for, as most of you, like me, have never been so happy and grateful. So as you sit down to your big fat turkey dinners and say your grace, remember to never take anything for granted, enjoy every moment, and always remember how truly blessed we all are. Have a Happy Turkey Day!

Hi Moms!

I have been MIA for a while I guess. My DH has not been home much and it is a huge job taking care of everything all by myself. He was gone for a 9 day stretch and is coming home today from another 10 day stretch (he was in LA during the fires last week). I pretty much knew going in to this that I would in essence be a single mom, but I had no idea how ridiculously hard it would be. I am hanging in but seriously sleep deprived. DH on the other hand has been sleeping through the night just fine in the station with NO nightime calls and while in LA he was at the command center during the day and in a nice comfy hotel at night. Yet when he comes home all he does is complain about how tired he is and how hard it is to have a baby. EXCUSE ME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!??????????

Suga - You crack me up with the stores about the girls! I hope you are writing them down for later. Matching bowel movements should come in handy when they are 16 and you want to embarrass them!

CT Michelle - You are right about Thanksgiving. We should all be very happy about what we have been blessed with. I will lift my glass of wine to all of you at the dinner table on Thanksgiving.

Jomae - I don't know how you do it with two little ones. And DH wants another?! I hope you are going to wait a little while at least. We had always planned to have another one but when I brought it up the other day, DH FREAKED out completely. He said now that he knows what it is all about, he is not sure he wants any more. Not only that, he said he wasn't sure the one we have was a good idea. I think he is just over reacting to being a first time parent, but it made me really sad to hear him say that. Especially since we have four 5 day blasts waiting for us for the next round. It seems a shame to change our minds now since most of the hard IVF work is already done. You are very luck that your DH loves you that much and is enjoying the blessings that having a family provides.

Cinci - I am sorry you are back to work already. I have to go back when the next school semester starts in January and it will be hard. DH is staying home all of January to do day care and we are enrolled in a day care center starting in February. It will certainly be a change. Hang in there.

How are the rest of you all doing?

Have a wonderful holiday ladies!!

Hey girls sorry been MIA been busy
It's official we have a smiling Katie three or four times now shes been seen smiling Ds was lucky to receive the first one its so cute when they start to interact with you especially when its a smile, must be a happy bub.

Suga very funny with the pooping comment its funny how they are so different with there sleeping patterns and makes me wonder how different their personalities will be when older. Hey goodluck with your trip to hope all goes smoothly

Cin congrats on passing another milestone of seeing the heart beat it can only be good from here on in congrats again keep letting us know how your going.

Michelle i must say it's not easy with ds and bub i definately look forward to the two days ds is in daycare i'm just thankfull that katie is such a happy and easy baby otherwise i think it would do my head in.

Gecko i wouldn't worry about dh's comments everything is so new and i'm sure your hubbies still finding his way with daddyhood especially seeing
hes has to be away for work and all he's probably still nervous give him time. As for my next round if we decide to go ahead we have to make a move soon my eggs are very crappy and i was told last time to not leave things too long for my 1st round in 05 i had 13 follies 9 were good 2nd time in 05 i had 9 follies 6 were good and for my last round i only had one to work with so over 3 years things have gone down hill big time and seeing a year has almost passed since the doctor had said if you waited another year or so we mightn't have any luck we need to decide if we were trying for any more munchkins and do something about it .

HEy Loopie i couldn't imagine trying to study with a new bub and the lack of sleep zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

Hope everyone else is well and getting some sleep when possible

As for meKatie is still the perfect baby shes so easy to look after and to know what she needs unlike ds who i felt stupid with all the time because she was so hard to figure out i've joined a mothers group with other mums who have babies all around the same age its just nice to be able to get out of the house.

I'm off to give Katie her last feed before i go to bed and to rest my foot i kicked the shower hobb by accident today and i think i broke my little toe

take care all JOMAEXXX

Jomae - sorry about your little toe!

Gecko- I understand how you feel. My Dh has been acting unhappy also. Sometimes he is super happy and interacts with bub, but most of the time just compalins about being tired. Bub wakes up once to feed and sleeps for 2 four hour periods, he sleeps next to me so he doesn't even cry cause I feed him when he stirs. Give me a break! He makes it seem like bean cries all night. I am just really sick of his cranky attitude and I ended up crying all day today. Of course then he says I must be tired and emotional. Here I was thinking that we had the perfect little family and so happy, but it is hard to stay so happy with his crappy mood. I don't know what to do! Is it just that us females have the mommy gene and men just don't have a clue?

Hi everyone! I've been MIA too. Hope you all had a great Thanksgiving. SO much to be thankful for this year. Gecko...I can totally relate. DH hasn't been gone for 9 days though, the biggest stretch has been 5. But then when he's home, I still have to do all the work because even if he's off one day, he has to get up and go back the next. In the beginning he was totally helping out, but now he just sleeps. I guess the novelty has worn off. And I know he gets woken up sometimes at the station, but I would bet anything he's getting more sleep than me. Not to mention, he naps all the time when he's home. I haven't been able to nap during the day. I don't know why...I used to be so good at it when I was on bedrest. I can't wait until Abby gives me a good 5 or 6 hour stretch of sleep. But, even though she's 3 months old, her adjusted age is only 2 weeks, so she's basically behaving like a 2 week old baby. I have a long way to go I guess. But she's SO worth it (even if I do have horrible dark circles under my eyes). Uh oh...she's waking up. Gotta run.

Rio: I relate on the crappy mood. I cried most of the day today as well. It was so stressful traveling this weekend that I never want to do it again! Two dogs and twins is not fun! Stopping to feed babies and dogs all over the place and no room in the car cause of so much stuff plus lack of sleep because putting them in a different house threw them off schedule! CRAP was I pissed all day today and just yelling at everything! Hormones are horrible! Hopefully it gets better and men can understand better. Nick just looks at me like I am crazy...Hello! You slept in until 11AM!!!

Corny: I love tired husbands....kinda makes me laugh. Now, if they really get up with you and do not get a lot of sleep I understand. But your husband is a firefighter right? I am sure he gets disturbed at work poor thing! My husband has to get up at 3 for UPS so I feel him there so we are both tired cranks.

As for me, we went to my moms house for Thanksgiving. Next year, all of the holidays will be at our house. No joke! I am never doing this again! It was just a pain in the butt and too much stuff to drag along. But of course, thankful for the girls.

Pissed off about insurance though! I did not know I had to tell my fertility clinic about a secondary insurance so all my IVF claims were DENIED! So I had to submit the claims to the other insurance company and ask for letters of denial (not late filed claims) to send to the other insurance company to see if they will still file the claim and pay for it. If not, we owe like $10,000. We do not have that kind of money! So please pray that the other insurance company gives me those letters of denial and Aetna accepts them late and pays the claim! Otherwise, we are screwed.

Holy Cow Suga!!!!! what a weekend and to get that crap news about your insurance- I'm sure it will be OK- I'll keep my fingers crossed (and so will Pulman!) I get you on the travel thing- it does seem to get them off schedule

Rio- how are you? did you have your surgery? I can't imagine - how's the bf and pumping going? I took a break from pumping last week- will start again so I can get the stored milk in the freezer -it gives dh a chance to feed him at 2am- but I still wake up and then give him the baby - it's wild how lightly i sleep now- little squeaky noises and bing!!! I'm up!

The holiday was great- we visited with dh's family- who are so much nicer than mine- the bros and sisters showed up early so they could hold the baby! that was great, but I think he got a bit spoiled- he was hardly put down at all.

Wednesday was Pulman's 1 month doc appt - he gained a lb. over birth weight! but doc wanted me to nurse him more often for less time (turned out to be a nightmare- very little sleep at night -and am now switching back! :x )
I packed everything and made the creative trek to the car with baby in his carseat( whom I kept verbally reminding myself needed to be in the car so i didn't forget him   ), thanksgiving food, clothes, bassinet, baby stuff, Porter the Great Dane, and me in the freight elevator then into the car out on the street- um did i remember everything? where's the baby??? finally left to get dh from work about an hour later than i'd hoped- but we did it- turns out he likes the car- hates traffic- yeah, me too!
jomae- smiles- delightful!! :D :D :D

rinnie- congrats on the HB!!!! are you going to do the CVS? it seemed to me to be a very invasive procedure - did your doc recommend it?

got to go- seems he knows when i'm on the computer!

Loopie: Glad to hear you had a nice holiday! Yes, the girls love the car ride (puts em right to sleep!) but in traffic when we had to stop they woke up and did not like it too much! lol. Plus they need a break after about 4 hours to get up and out. Esp. Brooke cause she gets tired of being tied down I think?

Rio: Surgery! I totally forgot! I am sorry! How did it go?

Happy cyber monday ladies!

I hope everyone had a happy thanksgiving. As I stated before, we are all truly blessed this holiday season. my thanksgiving was good, but exhausting. I am getting too old for the running around to 4 different houses and it is so much harder with the baby. i also felt deprived of my precious Ella time. I am glad everyone loves her, but I didn;t get to hold her until we came home around 8pm and then it was almost time for bed. I missed her all day!

Then friday Ella experienced her first black friday. We didn't go out for store openings, but when she got up around 6:15 to eat, we fed her and then headed out shopping. DH and i love black friday, and I can't wait until Ella is old enough to enjoy it too, i am sure it will become a tradition for us. I am actually completely done with my xmas shopping now, the tree and decorations are up (of course ella loves the lights, especially the star on the tree) and presents are wrapped and under the tree. Xmas cards are being mailed this week. I must say, I am pretty impressed with myself! Now I just can't wait for Ella's first xmas. Want to hear something crappy though? I put up my outdoor xmas decorations the day before thanksgiving because it was warm outside and I had family coming to visit, and we were vandalized that night. Someone smashed our lights and knocked over a ferris wheel decoration and broke it. I was so mad, I had the cops out to my house thanksgiving morning to file a report. My neighborhood is very small and quiet, so it was very shocking, and disturbing to know someone had been on my property when i didn;t know. I can't believe people do things like that...so sad.

Loopie- nice photobucket pics...pulman is a cutie...everyone else, keep the photos coming. I try to remind myself there is no such things as too many Ella pics, i just hope her eyes are not being destroyed by too many flashes.

Sugabeanz- Sucks about insurance. i hope they straighten it out. I don;t know what I would have done if insurance didn;t pay...probably pay $50 a month for the rest of my life. Just be persistant, insurance companies can be a pain in the you know what. My clinic was great and helped with all of that, even submitted appeals and stuff for me.

Well everyone, enjoy your week. i will try and post more often, just been so busy playing with ella all day! i love it, and i know she is so close to doing lots of new things. I think she is just a couple of weeks away from being able to use her four month toys that require head control, like her baby einsteing activity jumper...i can't wait. she also is "talking" alot. Makes lots of cute garbles and coos...it is so cute. Talk to you all soon.

Hi Everyone! Hope you all had happy Thanksgiving holidays! :D

Gecko - I would be so mad at DH for saying that. Still, it makes me wonder if it's just the kind of thing you say out of exhaustion and just being overly dramatic. It seems like the kind of thing that if you really meant it you actually wouldn't say it, ya know? I don't know how you're doing it on your own so much. My dh has been good overall but I am shouldering most of the burden naturally and I have no patience for his complaints.

Rinnie
- Yay! Sounds like everything is perfect. I'm so happy for you!

Jomae - Ouch! Sorry about the toe! Evie started smiling, too. It's so amazing. I even managed to snap a pic of one smile but of course I snapped a bit too late and she just looks kinda drunk in the pic

Rio - My dh gets cranky, too. Every time Evie is awake and cranky he thinks she must be hungry and tries to feed her. Then, he always is trying to get her back to sleep. Last night I told him that if she's awake the goal isn't automatically to get her back to sleep. Sometimes she should be up and if she cries she just wants us to change positions or walk around with her or something. He seemed frustrated so I told him that the reward for being a parent hasn't really started yet. Up to this point they take a lot and don't give much back but soon she'll be interacting and doing more smiling and laughing and that's when she'll give something to the relationship. I think this helped him with his frustration. And, I told him about what all the "girls on the message board" have been saying about their DH's and how everyone is cranky at this point so he wouldn't feel like it was just him. Sounds like a lot of us are having frustrated/cranky DH's at the moment.

Suga - Man, that really sucks about the insurance. I hope it works out for you. I let DH deal w/all that stuff. He's in finance and has a much better head for those kinds of things anyway. I hate dealing w/that stuff so you have my sympathy.

Loopie - Sounds like he's gaining weight! That's great!

CT_Michele - You've finished all your Christmas shopping? I'm impresed!

Well, ladies, I'm about to get back on the fertility roller coaster. I have a phone appt w/my RE on Thursday. I'm both excited and afraid of what he might say. Round 1 was so drama-filled. I don't respond well to meds and that makes it all so much more stressful. And, as some of you may remember, we had to travel to Colorado to go to CCRM. On the cycle we conceived, my response was not good (only 2 follies were the right size) so it was doom and gloom until after retrieval when we got the fertilization report. They managaged to fertilize 5 of my 6 mature eggs and we made high quality embryos. Up to that point it didn't look like I would be successful. Now, a year older, I am so afraid of what they'll say and what my diagnostic work-up will reveal. Please pray for me.
