IVF #2 introducing myself

Postby evette » Mon Nov 10, 2008 3:26 pm

:D Hello,

my name is Evette, i am 30 years old , this is my second attempt at ivf with a new RE..i was 25 dealing with a very stressful time with the death of my mother in lawat the time and i guess not much knoweldge about the proceedure . devistate with the results i felt my RE did not provide any clear answers or support. I decided to leave it alone and come back to ivf when ready.

Its been 5 years later and allthough i wanted to start a year ago health problems put me on hold with Ivf.Now delayed but not deterred i start a new Ivf cycle end of december with a new RE more knowledge of Ivf and a positive more focused mindframe . I am physically active with the gym, meditate, trying out new hobbies, and checking out the boards. I feel so positve but at the same time soooo anxious.I can't wait to start ,nothing is more important i feel like its been forever!..i think its safe to say anxious is a key word on these boards..anyhow ..allthough i have pcos, blocked tubes and have had endometriosis...i have prayer and hope ..determination above all its just some days are better than others..but i am grateful for board like these to vent and get advice..hope to update soon ..cant wait. thanks for listening! hope to get to know a few more people and make some connections.

Evette,

Welcome to the board. I have only been here since Oct 08 and had my ER on 10/13. We are waiting till the New Year to do the ET. This is DH and I first attempt to do this so I was very nervous at the beginning and depressed that I had to wait so long to do the ET but I am learning to cope and have more patience. We have 13 frozen embroys and I just get scared that they won't make it through the thawing like I have read and that is scary as well. I am glad we have this board to open up and have women that know what we are going through to be an open ear.

Good luck and keep in touch,

Barb

Hi all, MY name is nicky and although I have read quite alot of threads never actually logged in and posted anything.
Well anyway I am 31 and on my second attempt of IVF.
My first attempt was in may this year and I had ET at 3 days, sadly it resulted in a BFN :( .
Today I got the news that I have 8 eggs that are of good quality and they are going to transfer on sunday (14th) :)
as these will be blasts I wondered what chance I had of resulting in a BFP?
I hope you are all coping well with your expierinces, as this can be quite a worrying time.

Hi Evette, thank you for you support.
I really am trying to stay positive, but it's so hard to stay positive without getting my hopes up.
They said the embryos were grade 2 with 4 of them being at 8 cell and 4 of them being 6 cell. Not really sure if thats good or bad :?
