Sonu---Oh my God!!! Anay is so precious. Thanks for sharing, this is so inspiring :D :D

To the rest of my ladies, I am doing well, although getting more and more tired by the day and I feel my little ballerina pushing down my cervix. We moved this past weekend that's why I haven't had a chance to post or anything (craziness being 8 months pregnant, but it's over and done with, and most importantly we are happy in our new place). I'm really exhausted right now, but I'll be back tomorrow to write personals. Sending lots of love all around.

Does any one else feel like they're so big they're gonna pop? I waddle all day and my belly is so big and stretched it's starting to hurt.

Please tell me I'm not alone....LOL

SilverAngel--you are not alone sister friend. I can't imagine you with two in there...God! I'm getting to that point where I want this baby out, I'm not fully there (although I've had my moments, especially when I'm tired, want to sleep but can't find a comfortable position), but I'm getting there.

I'm happy and feel so blessed to have this little one kicking inside of me, and at the same time it will be nice to get my body back after she's born.

My hands hurt too. Anybody else? It's my joints, I'm going to ask my midwife during my appointment tomorrow. My feet are a bit swollen too.

esperanza: I have had TERRIBLE join pain in my hands since getting pregnant and it's only gotten worst. The doctor and all the books say it's normal and will go away when the pregnancy is over but it's so bad at this point it's effecting my every day activities.

And I can relate to wanting your bady back to your self. I felt guilty about feeling this way at first, after all, I went through so much to get them in there and there are so many women who would love to be in my position, but hey man, I'm big, uncomfortable and ready to meet my sons, why should I not feel like that?

Does a woman who got pregnant on her own have more of a right to feel like that just because it was easy for her and I should just love it all because I should feel HONORED just be pregnant?

I'm not buying that. Don;t get me wrong, I'm gonna miss it once tehy're not in there anymore. I love their kicking and hiccuping and stuff, but I would also love to start loosing some weight, not waddle any more, have no more muscle pain ALL THE TIME and fill the empty cradles in my room.

What do you ladies think. Do we have a right to want this to be over or is it selfish to think that way?

silver angel: i don't think its selfish...it is getting more and more uncomfortable, and the waiting reminds me of the early IVF waiting, only this waiting actually needs to a nice big prize. One of the books says that 3rd tri is all about weight and waiting, and i think that's right. I'm feeling particulary huge as well, and walking is getting harder and harder. Yesterday we went to a grocery store, and i rode in the electric chair that beeps when u reverse!! People were looking and trying to get outta my way!

Anyway, my DH saw a patient who was 31 wk and reported that she hardly looked pg...i quickly explained that i'm carrying double her weight in baby, placenta and fluid...and so i don't think i'm particularly large for the 2 5lb-ers in there...i'm tired of when people compare belly sizes..ughh

So, you guys are not alone...i haven't had the joint pain in the hands, but lots of round ligament pain on the right side which gives me a waddle and a limp...

someday we'll laugh about this

SilverAngel - I agree with babyloves. We're only human and how we got pregnant doesn't make us immune to all the discomforts that come with the 3rd trimester. We can be grateful and still grumble simultaneously! ;)

I'm a singleton behind most of you so I still don't look all that big, partly because I'm tall and carrying low, but I certainly still feel huge! I've already gained the 20 that I hoped to pick up through the entire pregnancy (started out about 20 overweight) and I'm certainly feeling it.

Getting round ligament pain on my left side especially when I stand up from lying down - I think it's because the baby has her head over on that side alot. Plus heartburn, short of breath, insomnia, and the latest joy - leg cramps. Whee!

Silverangel, I feel for you!!!! Gosh carrying twins must be twice as hard. I'm just sooooo tired & can't move the way I want to. My hands also hurt so badly, sometimes I wake up in the middle of the nite and my hand is clenched like a fist, and I try to open my palm up and it HURTS so bad!!! My first pregnancy was way easier than this. Then again, I was younger, and exercised the entire time (not an ivf pregnancy) This pregnancy has been so much more precious that I pretty much took it easy from the beginning, and now I'm paying the price. Started at 135lbs-Today-182lbs-I just don't think my frame was made to hold this much weight. I am 35 wks now , so I could gain another 10 or so depending-although I don't know where I will put the weight, I'm about to BURST!!!!!!!! Happy thought of babies in our arms soon ladies, but not before 37 weeks!!!!! Jennifer

The girls are here

Postby Literatriz » Fri Mar 06, 2009 12:32 am

Dear Friends,

Well, I am so tired that I cant' send personals to every one of you - welcome AlreadyBlessed - but I can say congratulations SONU for your beautiful and calm Anay - God answered in misterious ways again.
Well...it happened when I gave up waiting every day to be the day - the doctors told me that they would C-sec me on March 9th. Then on friday 27th, I got into labor and they called DH who was simply great without watching any movie preparation. 4 ours later, I finally dilated a bit and was considered officially in labor - which means they could c-sec me.
Jessie, Evelyn and Cecilia came to this world at 7'45, 7:46 and 7:47 a.m. they stepped down to our neighbor hospital today. I was feeling crappy for a few days but now I got more energy to wresle with the milk pump and also restored my home Internet connection. Here is a pic of one of them- Cecilia. I will try to get others to be posted...
I will continue to follow you girls until we are a big bunch of Mammas!
In gratitude, Literatriz
PS: sorry no pics could not do it. My husband will come and rescue me - this is a Mac and I don't speak it's language!

Literatriz!! OMG!! Your girls are here!!! Congradulations!! I can't wait to see them, make sure you have the pics up soon.
How much did they weigh and how are they now? Are they home with you or did they have to spend some time in the NICU?
Beautiful names too, you must be so proud!!

Ok, so here I am at 4 AM...woke up and was not able to go back to sleep, come to check on my girls and write some personals and OMG LITERATRIZ!!!! CONGRATULATIONS my dear Brazilian friend :D :D :D :D Wonderful news, and beautiful names  Like SilverAngel, I want to know more details...are they in the NICU? pictures, pictures, pictures! of course, I understand you are exhausted, so whenever you have a chance dear. Sending lots of love to you, dh, and your 3 little girls.

SILVERANGEL--I don't think I ever gave you the official WELCOME! let's continue hanging in there dear, as Jenny said, let's have "baby in our arms thoughts." I asked my midwife about the pain in my hands and the swollen yesterday and she said "drink lots of fluid, slow down, rest, and hang in there"...so I guess that's it. Oh, don't forget about the pain in my pelvis bone!

KERPUPPLES-- how are you doing my dear? yeah, round ligament pain is not fun. I get it too, specially when I get up. Sometimes I scare dh, because I make a face and put my hand on my lower belly, of course I don't panic because I know what it is, but he immidiately asks "what's the matter? are you ok?" I've also gained more than I thought I would: I'm at about 38 pounds now, and I did start with about 10 extra pounds from IVF. Oh well, it's going to be breastfeeding and lots of exercising after baby

BABYLOVES--yes, this is similar to IVF waiting, although not as with the same anxiety or intensity (at least for me). My concerns now (instead of, did the embryos implant? are they growing?) are "is my baby healthy?" "will she have a rare disease?"
Girl, you cracked me up with your story about the motor wheel chair...hilarious!  I was actually tempted to use one of those the other day when I went to shopping with dh. That was the first time I went by one of those chairs by the entrance and the thought of it
And yes, I'm with you in the whole belly size comparison. My belly is big enough now (heck! I'm big, round and heavy) , but even a few weeks ago I had people scare me with their comments about how my belly was not big enough for the number of weeks, as if there was something wrong with the development of my baby. My midwife told me to ask them to back off.
Are they still doing all the monitoring? sounds like a lot of trouble.

ALREADYBLESSED-- how are you my dear friend? anymore funny stories to share? you always make me laugh!!!! I'm SO SO SO happy to hear that your placenta moved...yay! beautiful :) I'm also happy to hear you had a nice baby shower. I'm looking forward to mine, it's on the 14th.

MICHELLE-- how are you friend? sorry I haven't responded to your PM. We moved last weekend (which we're SO happy about!!!) and that has kept me busy, distracted and tired (on top of school and work). I registered at Target. I must confess that I felt embarrassed when my friend sent out the invitation for the shower...for some reason I felt exposed and if I were asking people to buy me this, this, and that. I'm starting to get over it, but it's all about the way I was raised, I'm not used to the idea of registry. One thing that makes me feel better is that people are excited about attending the shower, so that makes me feel better. As you know we've only been living in New Mexico for about 7 months, so most of my family and friends are elsewhere; well, one of my dear friends from Mass has come up with the idea of organizing a "virtual/facebook" babyshower...can you imagine? At first I thought she was joking, but then I realized she was serious. I was so touched. I guess people do get really excited about the birth of a child (which, of course, I can relate to because before all my infertility issues I was always excited about the birth other people's children).

You ladies have given me some ideas about pampering myself. I think I'm going to get myself an appointment for a facial and maybe mani and pedi. I really never go to those places because I feel bad about spending the money, but I think this time I deserve it. What do you all think?

Ok, this is a long post, but what hey, it's 5AM now, I have the time and the energy ;)

SONU--sending you lots of luv to you and your precious one honey.

its good you moved prior to your baby being born...i'll be moving in June which may be tough with 2 little ones..

i've had dry cracked nipples...actually after using lanosin...anyone else have this problem? should i just leave them alone?

daily news

Postby Literatriz » Sun Mar 08, 2009 2:03 am

Dear friends,
Thanks for rejoicing with me - this group has been such a nice experience!
I don't have much energy for personals after two rounds of atempted breastfeeding all three of them - and being REALLY UPSET:
My girls were stepped down to our local hospital. There were just them and another girl at the special care unit. I went there with my mom this morning. Placed my coat and purse at the designated place, a small room near the main room. The parents of the other girl came in and we noticed a strong smell of pot. A few minutes later he walks out. The wife stayed. When I tried to look for my purse she came to us and tried to make me believe I had "baby brain", that maybe i didn't have the purse and cell with me...guess what, many phone calls later to banks and credit cards...we found out that someone tried to get 60 dollars from the hospital's ATM machine. They are inveestigating but I think I lost a nice camera (pics of the girls in - most of it we already have downloaded in the computer), my cell with a special plan to call Brazil (a pain to set up again), two dollars (I was in a hospital for a month....) and all my documents.
I will call tomorrow as I don't want to be int he same room with this couple!
The hospital increased the awareness of the nurses and I trust the nurses. I don't want this people around my girls.
BTW, they are gaining weight and reached their birth weights today (all but Evelyn). Jessie was four pounds two ounces, Cecilia was four pounds and half an ounce and little Evelyn was two pounds and 8 ounces ( she is such a fighter!).
My hands hurt all the time during the pregnancy - doctors said nerves are pinched as our posture changes. It is almost gone now! Hang in there, Silver Angel and Esperanza - and everyone else struglling with the waiting and the weighting of the third trimester.
Best wishes, Literatriz
