liz35, I did the dream feed also, when they reached 3 months I gave them 7 p.m bottle and they went to sleep then at 10:30 I gave them a bottle that they drank asleep and then continue sleeping till 5:30 - 6:00 (much easier for me to give the bottle at 10:30 than 12:00) when they were 6 months I stopped giving the 10:30 bottle and were sleeping through the night...
I also kept the 3 hours schedule until they began eating solids, they just could not go 4 hours without eating...

Hi Ladies,

Sorry to intrude on your thread -- I recently found out I am expecting twins and I wanted some advice.

Did you see a regular obgyn or a perinatologist? I am currently seeing the obgyn who I saw for my daughter but I am thinking of switching to a specialist. Just wondering what others have done and how they felt about their choice.

Thanks! :D

Mellie, what did your ob say? I'm 22 weeks and have only seen my ob. I've had some complications and they've done a good job taking care of me. The do say that they specialize in high risk pregnancies but I think that's because they are affiliated with the university hospital which they've sent me to for the complications I had. I think it's always up to you whether you want to see a peri or not and at other times your ob will refer you to one if need be. The ladies that I know that see a peri actually continue to see both their ob and peri.

Oh, is that how it works? You see your ob but only a peri if there's a problem? I thought that you could also see a peri as your primary person?

Millie you can see a peri as your primary. I think most end up seeing both because they've already developed a relationship with their Ob.

I saw a Peri along with my OB. My OB was the main person I saw and the Peri just did the ultrasounds....so I dunno if this is different from other states/practices/etc I dunno. But we can not see a Peri as the main doctor but just a supplement to the OB.

The girls are too cute! Clapping, giving High Fives, starting to try to talk really hard, laughing and playing with each other more and more....just too much fun. However, they have become a bit clingy to me! They always want me to be involved in what they are doing and hate it if I do not allow them in the kitchen with me. Oh well.

OK TMI question. But recently I have been bleeding A TON. I know with PCOS it can be sporadic and whatnot but I have clots coming out (like half dollar size) and I will bleed for one day then stop for two then bleed a day or so...etc etc. I am trying to get an appt. but they will not call me back! On Monday I am just going to go there in person to set something up. It is getting annoying. I am sure they will just put me back on birth control. So annoying.

I'm glad to find this board! I'm 7 weeks w/ twins. I found out a little early after a scare last week and have my official first u/s tomorrow morning! My due date is 4/13, but of course I don't think I'll make it that long. I'm really nervous about being pregnant w/ twins, especially after my miscarriage in February. I've been researching books to read, but haven't bought any yet b/c I don't want to jinx anything. On another note, how do I add my ticker? I've created one, but don't know how to get it to show up!

I had my first official ultrasound today! The twins are doing great! We were able to hear the heartbeats too! Twin A's heartbeat was 144 and measuring right at 7 weeks. Twin B's heartbeat was 119 and measuring 6 weeks 4 days. My dr. says this is perfectly normal and that my chances for a m/c are now down to 5%. My dr. also went ahead and put in for an o/b consult. I'm so glad that I don't have to go through my PCM! I guess I can officially get excited now!

Congrats marymeganB!! Twins twins!!

This is what I wrote the other day on my other thread I follow...but I thought I should post it here.

I need to get this off my chest and I do not really know who to turn to but I knew you ladies would understand so I decided to come here! A little back story so you kinda know where I am coming from....for the past 2 months I have been spotting brown (I know TMI!) and I just thought it was my PCOS acting up so I went to the Gyno Monday to get back on BC to regulate my periods. I started the pills. Well for the past two months I have also been tired but I gave that up to me bleeding all the time and my anemia and not sleeping well. My boobs were sore the past 2 weeks. I have Fiber Cystic boobs so I gave that up to drinking too much caffeine. See where I am going yet?? Well this morning I woke up and I felt wet (I know, nasty) so I went to the bathroom. Before now I did not need a pad or tampon for the bleeding. Well I sat on the toilet and hear this PLOP really loud. My back was hurting really bad. I look in the toilet and see something weird. I think it was an embryo. So I call my mom up and ask her about it, do some research online, and what I saw looks a lot like a fetus at 6-7 weeks. I am stupid and did not fish the thing out and I just flushed it. I did not know they could do testing on it to see if that is truly what it was. But the doctor did draw blood on Monday and she was running a pregnancy test so that should tell me if I was in fact pregnant. Plus I am making Nick go out and get me a over the counter test to see as well. I am still cramping and bleeding pretty heavy and it is not bring red but a pink liquid looking. So all in all, I think I had a miscarriage and did not even know I was pregnant. When I look back at it now it all makes sense if that is what it really was going on. I did not think of pregnancy, well, you know. IVF people!! I do not ovulate, low sperm count for Nick, etc, etc.

I did more research and PCOS have more chances of miscarriage, I should have taken a test after spotting for so long and I may have needed progesterone to help it out, I was taking drugs (Metformin, NyQuil, etc), and yeah.

I will know for sure in a few days with the blood test I suppose. I am debating on calling the doctor to go in and see if that is what it was. If it was it was early early pregnancy and I should not need a D and C right??

Also, I am still taking the Birth Control and I guess I will not stop with that until my periods get worked out a little better. I am just confused and weirded out at the moment.

UPDATE the bleeding stopped the same day, cramps went away, not tired any more, no sore boobs, etc. SO I will get the blood test back on Monday to know if I was indeed pregnant. But I am over the fact now but still kinda weird I was pregnant and had no idea.
