hello eveyone,

Me and my hubby have been trying for a baby for 18 months now. We are just going through our first blood tests at my GP to be refered for IVF.

Its getting me so down, especially when family members are announcing their news weeks after their marriage.

Sprinkling baby dust to all xx

I know what you mean. It seems like everyone else gets pregnant when we cant. I am going to start my first IVF cycle here soon also. Im kind of nervous.

Hi Caroline! I just wanted to hop over here and say good luck with your tests. Will you be getting NHS funded IVF? Do you have any idea of when you are likely to start treatment? Once you know, I highly recommend that you (and amber3729!) join a cycle group on the IVF part of this site. You will then be able to keep in contact with a lovely group of ladies all having IVF at much the same time, and it's a great way to receive and give information and support. If your UK clinic turns out to be anything like mine, this site will be an invaluable source of information as my clinic didn't tell me a great deal. Don't get me wrong, the actual treatment was fantastic, but they didn't do a great deal of 'hand holding' and so having a cycle group is brilliant when you get worried that you're not doing something right etc or just to check that what you're experiencing is normal.

Good luck to you both!

P.S. This site is also a great place to be while you wait for treatment - believe me, we all understand about the pain of TTC unsuccessfully while everyone around you appears to get pregnant at the drop of a hat. Your time will come though, have faith!
