i agree totally - my boys are 9 weeks old and i could not even begin to imagine life without them - I too had 3 failed cycles with my own eggs - we wanted a baby and so ED was the only option available - it is a few cells being donated - you will grow and noutrish the baby and from ET I have never felt that they are not a partof me.

Try reading the first few pages of this thread where there is quite alot of info on epigenic(sp???) this i found really helpful

good luck in the next stage of your journey to motherhood

I also completely agree. I had 3 miscarriages following IVF. My girls are 7 weeks old and they are mine ... people actually comment on how much they resemble me  I can't imagine life w/out them and am so thankful we turned to DE. I know a great agency if you want to PM me. Good luck!

How is everyone else doing ... I know, BUSY

Brooklyngirl - I know how you feel, I was there just a few months ago. I am currently 3dp5dt with 2 blasts created from DE. Even in this early stage, even not knowing if I'm pregnant, they are still mine. I took time to grieve my losses and to really think about what DH and I wanted. After we have made the decision to use DE, I have not looked back and am getting excited again about the possibility of being a Mom. As we all know, failure after failure sucks the hopefullness out of us, but now mine is back.

Reading through this board brings me so much hope. In other sections, all you read is bad news from broken hearted women. This section seems to have a reported positive beat on every page!!!

Good luck to all.

Hi To Have Fun...
Your name is very familiar to me... I spent a lot of time here on the site back in the day. I did 6 IVF cycles with my own eggs and finally went to donor... Thank GOD!!! I now have two beautiful twin boys who mean the world to me. Success on the FIRST try with DE. We were meant to be together. They are MY babies!!!! LLLOOOOVVVVEEEE!!!!!

DE might not be for everyone... but for me, it was right. these boys were meant for me and I was meant for them. Without my donor, I wouldn't have them and that erases any grief of not using my own eggs. It's kind of hard to explain... but I wouldn't have these awesome boys if I kept trying with my eggs. These boys were meant for me and my DH. What a connection!!!!

I wish you all the best. Be strong, do your research and be happy. DE is a miracle!!!

I'll be here if you need me.

Thanks Chris and Carolyn - So happy for both of you that donor eggs worked for you. I have been ready to do DE for a long time. I would have stopped using my eggs after my 3rd cycle, though DH wasn't ready for DE. Now he is so here we are. I have seen lots of gals have success with donor eggs so I am praying I will too. This is our last shot, if this doesn't work, we are done. At this point I can live with that but I really really want some success. I am not concered about the child not having my genetics. It will still be mine. I have about 2 more months to go. ER should be the last week in Feb.

Well, I tried for twenty years and unfortunately my nsdh at the time, had very low sperm counts (3 - 8m/m and not so good morphology) so no luck for us. Even with IVF no luck. ICSI brought us hope but we split 3 days after the procedure. Fast forward ; I tried ds and had great emby's but bhcg-ve. By then I was 39 and my reserve was quickly waning:-( Still desperately wanted a family and was now in a great relationship and thus I used de from a 37y/o and only had 4 eggs....3 then 2 emby's to place... Bhcg +ve and I delivered full term twins at age 46. Throughout all the years of childlessness, I frequently would here of others ttc and I wanted so badly to be able to help - only problem, I was having problems myself. Fast forward to today... I was able to help and subsequently have given birth to another set of healthy twins as a gestational surrogate a few months ago - a booked section at 36w 4 d. at the ripe age of 49. So you see miracles do happen; especially if you have faith, persevere and a wonderful MD who feels the same way...

Thanks everyone and Happy New Year to ALL!!

I am just waiting my time. Seems like that is what the last 3 years have been, just waiting my time till my next cycle. I have about everything done. Both the donor and i have our meds. shes on BCP's and starts lupron in a few weeks. AF should be here by Jan 27 and then I will start BCP's. This will all go so fast once the meds start. It is weird knowing that it is the donor taking all the meds this time. I am so used to shooting up. :D :D Hoping the less stress will help out. I just read and article about a gal using donor eggs and two surrogates to have two children. She called the donor the fairy goddonor.. had to laugh at that one. I have the donor's profile sitting on my nightstand don't know why just haven't put it away. Anyway I catch myself looking at it sometimes and just praying that they donor is gonna give me my golden eggs.

How is everyone and their babies doing? Probably getting really big.

Sabi - I remember cycling with you. I think I have cycled with most everyone that was doing IVF from May 2008 till Nov 2009. I know I also cycled with wishful, don't know about chriss. After so many failures I mostly dropped off the board. I lurked sometimes but didn't post much.

Hang in there. I found that when things got so bad that I couldn't take it anymore... it turned around. I am sooooo happy to have my boys. Keep your eye on the prize. Don't look back, only forward.

Hello Everyone!

It has been ages since I posted last. My little guy is now 8.5 mos old. I am starting to get ready to cycle for a sibling. I would like to return to Gennet in May. Is anyone else that was on the thread before looking at cycling again? So many of you had twins that maybe you are just now starting to catch your breath let alone think about starting over. How is everyone? I have been nursing, for me to cycle in May I am going to have to start weaning him. I was really hoping AF would start soon so I could continue nursing a little longer. Now that he is eating solid foods he does not nurse as frequently. Anyone in the same situation? We are getting OLD and don't think we should wait too much longer to try again.

Good Luck Step, right now I think I am the only one cycling on this board. I'll cycle in Feb.
