HELP Period Pains during 2WW !!!!???!!!!!

Hi margi - yes got my results on 29th nov and I'm pregnant!!!
My husband and I are incredibly grateful for this, but I know it not over just Getz
I have my 6 week scan on 14th dec and they look for signs of a foetal heartbeat
I hv had severe cramping today as hv been back into work and am on my way to see doc as feel extreme pains in my ovary area .

How are you holding up ? Please keep me posted on how you are doing and sending you lots of love xxx

That is so fabulous!!! Do you have another beta before your u/s? Did they tell you the number? Soooo very happy for you. Take care of yourself and your ovaries...sorry about the cramping but they have worked hard.

I am trying to hang in there and stay positive, but still nothing but negatives on the HPTS.. Two more days and then I will know for certain. Sometimes you don't get positives until the day of or even after beta, so I will be hoping that is the case with me

Sarah - how is the 2ww I hope your keeping sane I know how hard it is please email at anytime you need to talk.

Saw my consultant about the pains and apparently they are very normal in the early stages of pregnancy !!! Although they have calmed down a little nowx
Margi in the uk the clinics don't do blood tests after the 2ww they do a six week internal scan to look for one ...... Or two heartbeats and to check if there could potentially be anything wrong (fingers crossed). It's all a waiting game I want Christmas to be here so I know I'm half way there x but there is alway a risk unfortunately ! X

Tiger: Wow. They really test your patience "over there" don't they! Do whatever you can to keep yourself occupied. How are the twinges? Your uterus is stretching and pulling and all sorts of things are going to feel funny these next 9 months! How wonderful.

And this may be all that we can afford, so we really need to make this one THE one. I am asking my doc to be more aggressive, but because i got so sick with hyperstim in my first IVF he is afraid to overdo it with me. Sigh. I just want one good egg. Is that too much to ask for? I am crampy so AF will be showing her evil head any day now. I hope to go in on Monday or Tuesday for SnS. Pray that I don't have any cysts to keep me from forging ahead...I still have time to get pregnant in 2010.

Margi I really am so sorry to hear about your news. Have your clinic assessed where the problem area is ? Mine was the quality & quantity of eggs The first I produced 8 follies and only 3 eggs of which 2 fertilised. I was on 225 ml gonal injections. I think he was a little gutted it didn't work and the infertility is unexplained. This time round doc was alot more aggressive and increased gonal from 225 ml to 375 ml and I had 9 eggs of which 7 fertilised.

I hope your next treatment works Margi my prays really are with you, but as you said there is still time for a baby in 2010!!!! It will happen I feel it! X xxxxxx

As for the twinges and weird pains yes I still hv them but I feel like I'm on the 2ww all over againx

Hi Girls,

Sorry for my lack of communication. Everything has been crazy busy with my sisters wedding which was lovely.

Unfortunatley my news isnt so great. I got my period on day 6 of the 2ww and had confirmation today that results are negative. I am devastated as expected and trying to concentrate on having a relaxing xmas break without IVF. Luckily we got one embbie to freeze so next time we dont have to go through the injections. It is so hard to stay positive but i know that time will heal things and i will feel better again next week.

Margi I am sorry to hear of your negative result. Will you be giving it another try before xmas?

Tiger- how is the pregnancy progressing? I hope all is tracking nicely for you.

Hi Sarah - I'm sorry to hear about your bad new and margi's too.

I unfortunately have had an early miscarriage today so it looks like we will all be trying in the new year with lots of better luck xxxx

As hard as it is to get over I truly believe it will happen for all of us

Tiger i am so sorry to hear your bad news. Hopefully 2011 will be the year of babies for us all!!

I went to see my doctor yesterday and he still seems very positive that we will get there. Our frozen embbie is waiting for us when we are ready so we will probably go again at the end of January. Last week was horrible but each day that passes becomes a little easier. First priority for me right now is to have a relaxing and fun xmas holiday and to get fit and strong again.

Have a wonderful xmas break with your families and friends and heres to the babies we will one day have!!
