So far Ive only had nausea maybe twice. It sounds bad but I would kinda like morning sickness, I think that strangely it would make me feel better. Maybe its still a little too early. I estimate I am just over 4 1/2 wks I am extremely tired all of the time. A 20 min nap turns into 3hrs. I have been waking up with a headache the past couple of mornings. I have noticed though over the past 2 wks that I have no appetite what so ever.

krcaja -- With those beta rises, you very well might have two in there! Are you having strong symptoms?

Osi -- I agree... the wait for the first u/s is torture! My nausea has subsided it seems... I admit that worries me a little. But I'm trying not to obsess over it.

Dallas -- I think m/s kicks in around 6-8 weeks. Maybe you'll be spared! Sorry about the morning headaches... also a classic pregnancy symptom,

AFM -- I feel really good physically, which worries me. I cannot wait for my u/s already! I just wanna see that little heart flickering. My bad news is my father-in-law was rushed to the hospital this morning with a major GI bleed. He isn't stable and might need surgery. We are very worried. He would be our baby's only grandfather. He's a very nice man and we are quite close. My in-laws live about a half hour from us.

Lou- I am so sorry about your FIL...I will be sending prayers your way!!! I am sure your little bean is tucked in and working on that heart beat!!! Don't worry!!! Try acupuncture to help with your stress. I am hooked!!! My symptoms are sore boobs (they feel real heavy and ache from time to time), I pee every 5 minutes (but I started peeing after my ET and never stopped), mood swings for sure (my poor hubby just irritates the hell out of me), heart burn and indigestion. I just started to get some naseau but its not been too bad.

Dallas-lol...I totally understand the want for m/s...sorry about your headaches. My dr told another patient who suffers from headaches real bad to drink as much water as possible. Of course that will just add to your bathroom trips :D

Osi- Welcome and congrats!!!! When is your u/s?

Karen-I too am pacing until tuesday ( my u/s) so I decided to get a blood test to help ease my mind.

hi all,
thanks lou for sharing about your m/c.. it must have been so devastating to be that close completing 12 weeks.. i'm so sorry for your loss. and i also hope your FIL makes a speedy recovery.. keep us posted.

osi- welcome ! i just joined last week myself. congrats on your FET!

krcaja- i think i may go nuts waiting 10 days til my next u/s.. i've been contemplating gettting blood work, but am worried about interpreting the numbers wrong.. at this stage (my last beta was 29000, and that was 2-3wks ago, ithink-i'll have to check), and the numbers "double every 96 or more hours"... so wtf does 'or more' mean? i asked my obgyn, and didn't get much of a straight answer other than to wait for an u/s... so what's your plan for judging the numbers?? i may follow your lead on this one. i too, see a quick doubling time on your betas, so twins is possible !!!

dallas- i also think it's too early for you to get ms. i had some wicked ms today, and it's funny- i'm still not reassured! what is wrong with me?? but the symptoms you DO have fit well with the stage of PG you're in.. hang in there :)

afm: when i'm not busy wiith distractions, i'm often worried about m/c.. i wish that i wasn't. when i get unusually tired, or queasy, i convince myself that it COULD be something other than PG, and i doubt that i'm still PG. i wish this 12 ww wasn't so hard.

hi to anyone else out there too!

krcaja -- Thanks for the prayers for my FIL. He is still in ICU but doing better. I hear you on the sore achy boobs... ugh! Hurts when I am sleeping and try to change position. I don't have much nausea either. A wave here and there, but that's it.

karen -- Yes, my m/s was devastating. It was so surreal. I couldn't believe it was happening to me. Then to get a BFN on my next IVF and FET made me feel like I would never be a mother. My m/c was 3 days before mother's day. Most of my friends had already mailed me cards for the holiday. I threw them away immediately. So painful. I don't ever want to experience that again. I guess that's why I'm so worried with this one.

Dallas -- Are the headaches any better? I've got one today and it made me think of you. I hope you have feeling well today. I took myself a nap today too! I worked last night until 11:30pm, then had to get up at 7AM, so when I got home I laid down and slept with my dog from 10am-12:30pm! Felt sooo good.

Osi -- How many did you transfer on your FET for your BFP? What were your betas?

Ashley -- Care to join us here? She got her BFP yesterday!

AFM -- FIL is doing better. He underwent a slew of tests and has diverticulitis. The bleeding has stopped and after receiving transfusions should come home in a couple of days. Today I have a headache, ugh! Stinks I cannot take my Excedrin which always does the trick for me. The wait for my u/s is killing me so I POAS again today at 22dpo to give me some piece of mind. The two dark lines were somewhat reassuring. I don't know how I'll make it another 10 days! I better buy more sticks! When is it OK to start exercising again. I am not going to run a marathon but I'd like to spin, play tennis, some weights, etc. My RE told me I could play tennis so I did this morning. It felt really good. I didn't go all out and run hard but it was doubles and was great to hit the ball. I played well too. I'll tell my pro after my u/s so he understands why I am holding back. I'm thinking of going to a spin class tomorrow morning and riding at 60% effort. I'm used to working out 6 days a week so it's killing me not to. But I don't want to do harm either. Everything I've read says it's OK. What do you guys think? Oh, and here's this AM's stick. I know... I'm a paranoid freak.

Lou-Glad to know your FIl is doing better. I love that you are still POAS. I would be too if my dr. didnt give me a blood test this week. I only have 3 more days till ultrasound. I am soooo paranoid. I keep thinking OMG what if its ectopic? I read that your betas don't go up like mine did if you have an ectopic but I guess until I see the bugger in the right spot with a beating heart I am just praying and trying my best to remain calm. I am only going to acupuncture 2x month now and I wish I could go right now to calm down. Oh yeah...I have been sleeping in my jogging bras and it feels alot better.

Are you guys feeling any pulling sensations in your lower abdomen? It comes and goes and seems to be more pronounced when I have to pee which is all the time! Once I pee it goes away.

Do you guys know what the normal heart rate is for 7 weeks? I hope all of you are having a great weekend!

hi all.. lou, so glad your FIL is doing better.. as for exercise, theoretically it's ok as long as it's not strenuous.. i remember from my last pregnancy my obgyn telling me not to get my heartrate above 140.. i'd be a little concerned when doing twisting/turning things like tennis, as you are twisting your uterus around- my ob told me not to play tennis when pg with my son, or anything where you could take a bad fall possibly (like mountain biking- my other love).. i was also instructed last time to not exert myself with weights- to go quite low with a focus on maintaining, not building muscle. stationary bike at 60% sounds great (watch your hb).. and i think things like the elliptical/ light jog on the treadmill would be ok..

here's the rule i use: if i do "IT" and something bad happens- am i going to blame myself and doing "IT" on the bad thing happening?? if so, then it don't do 'it'. i know that some women do ridiculous things and their pregnancies turn out jsut fine.. but again, given the boat we are all in- are 'we' those women? last time, once i made it through the first tri, at about 16 wks, i started exercising regularly again, but on a light regimine.. then frankly, i got too tired to continue it.

maybe some of the advice i got last time was colored by the fact that i'd bled at wk 9 quite severely, and spotted til wk 13 (had a sub chorionic hematoma).. but of course, you need to do what's right for you :)

krcaja- those pulling sensations are normal.. actually you should find them reassurring if anything. and the normal hb range is from 100-180.. it's quite broad. one u/s tech told me 120-180, but my obgyn insisted it's broader than that at 100-180. my experience with this pregnancy and with my son, is that at 7wks, it's around 120, and then tends to go up and then stablize at 150/160

hi to everyone else. all is the same for me. i'm obsessed with worrying about m/c. and as lou said, my last one too, was so painful, that i'm haunted by it and quite fearful now. i wish i could buy an u/s machine!!

Lou- I have had just the occasional headache, esp when I wake up in the morning. Friday I had one all day, and felt horrible and so sleepy all day. Mostly Im just dying of heartburn/indigestion!

I am 5 wks today, u/s is 8 days away, and it seems like it will take forever to get here. I am glad I am not the only one obsessing over the possibility of m/c. I think about it constantly and with every thing I do. I also exercise alot, but I am scared to right now. I think i will wait a little longer. If something happened I would def blame it on my activity.

hi everyone.. dallas, i really hear you on the m/c worries. i'm finding this 12 ww brutal.. i was reminded by someone that my last 12ww was awful too.. i am just wrought with anxiety and my thoughts are almost always on it. i'm cranky, angry at times, and just feeling depressed. i really feel like i can't take the pressure at this point. i think it's worse than usual for me right now, cause my son has been really sick with the flu, and i'm somewhat sleepless, drained, and cooped up in the house. so i'm just extra sensitive.

i considered getting another beta ( i have a standing order at the lab), but i've researched it and beta numbers can start to drop as early as 8 wks before they level off.. and everyone says 'after 6 wks they are a poor prediction of pregnancy health'.. but maybe i just want a number that tells me i'm still pg... or maybe i'm better to POAS and i don't have to worry about a number.. although my worry with POAS is that with a m/c beta numbers can be slow to drop right down to zero. that happened to me with my chemical pregnancy.

ugh, sorry for the rant. how's everyone else out there doing right now?

Ugh... freaking out a little bit today ladies. I POAS this morning 24 dpo and I swear the test line is lighter than the test line on Saturday's test (22 dpo). It's really freaking me out. When I miscarried I saw the same thing that morning and tried not to think anything of it. Well, you know how that ended.
Here's the pic... should I worry?

no lou, i don't think you should freak out. i believe, if anything, it's a difference between the 2 tests.. not your levels.. seriously, i mean that. hugs to you. gotta run

I agree about the test, dont get yourself worked up yet. And you're still having preg. symptoms right? Your u/s is next week and will ease your mind. Anyone else have huge whelps in their tail from the injections?? My bum is killing me today, but I try not to complain b/c it is great that I still have to do the injections.

hi dallas,... no whelps in the butt for me..i'm on progesterone suppositiories (vaginal).. it seems common here in canada that we don't do the injections.. the RE's actually say that unless you have a progesterone-specific issue, the supplements in pregnancy are just a precaution! but tradition is tradition, so most have you do it til wk 10.. my last clinic insisted i only needed them the first 2 wks as after that the placenta is making enough progesterone to support the pregnancy

but hey, who wants to take a chance? i'd love to stop the suppositories, they are yucky and i often want to 'forget' them..haha

since having my son, i only work 3 days a wk, and i can't wait to get back to work tomorrow so that i'm more distracted!

how ya doing lou?

Ladies, I'm having some brown spotting... It is slowing and is more like beige cm now. Is this normal? I'm scared. Crap, this sucks.

On that note, my hpt this evening appears dark again. And i was nauseous all day. Even vomited twice. Heartburn too.

I don't know what to think.
