crashing for Lou

Lou - As long as its brown, its just old leftover blood most likely bits of excess lining. Girl, please dont drive yourself mad until next tues, ok? I totally get why you are feeling anxious, after last year it cant be helped, but you're pregnant, your betas were great and uhhhhh, this wait is worse than the 2ww isnt it? Tues is coming honey - go enjoy Valentine's day with your hubby! I'm gonna keep stalking you and cheering you on.. and hopefully join you in May..
Dont freak out honey, I had some brown blood and it was nothing, and lots of girls have had red blood and all it was SCH, it just happens sometimes but no reason to ruin your "glow". I cant wait to hear all about your little bean's heartbeat on tues too!
much love my friend - xoxo

Thanks Katie. It's nearly stopped and lasted less than 4 hrs and was only there when i wiped or looked for it. I'm also having some AF type cramps with an occasional quick stabbing pain. It's not bad though. Not really different than I've felt all weekend and wouldn't worry me if it weren't for the brown spotting. It's going to be a looong week for sure. I just don't know how I would deal with another loss.

hi everybody and lou- i really relate to your struggle right now, as i think my m/c really scarred me in some deep way that is still there.. it's weird for me to say- as since that m/c, i've had our son.. so i woulda thought i'd be more optimistic/less fearful right now.. but i'm not.

so i had 2 major bleeds at 9 wks with my son- bright red blood.. then the rainbow of red's and browns spotting til wk 13... and in this pregnancy, 2 smaller bleeds at wk 6, and still spotting off and on, but mostly browns.. SOOOO... i have a lot of data on this subject. (as i'm sure you do too actually)

on my last u/s with my RE, he talked about how many women come into the clinic, freaked out they're m/c'ing due to the amount of bleeding... he said "it's amazing how much a women can bleed and the pregnancy is just fine"...

my OBGYN said the same thing recently, and he always reminds me that implantation bleeding actually goes on for a few weeks- there's the initial implantation that can cause bleeding, but then the embie implants deeper and deeper, and can cause small amounts of blood..

i don't know if you find any reassurance in details like that.. and aside of that, my heart is with you right now... this is sooo hard. i've felt pretty healthy the last couple days which freaks me out. i'm so glad i'm going back to work tomorrow so that i can be more distracted..

big hugs to you and everyone else out there struggling in this u/s, 12wk wait.. it's awful!!!

ps. everybody- stay away from Dr. Google... his credentials suck. the only thing his medical advice is good for, is anxiety.

Lou... stalking here... there's only so much hcg those strips can handle, and you're well beyond maxing out any real tell-tale sighs of rising betas. It's just going to freak you out if you keep testing. Are you getting more betas? I got them until nearly 30dpo - my doctor just gave me a requisition to go in every two days as many times as I wanted to. I got sick of giving blood and only went in when I really needed to.

Tons of pregnancies have some spotting early on and even throughout. If you're really worried see your doctor - the only thing you can do is keep your mind off it and keep all that delicious positive energy flowing. Big hugs - the wait to the ultrasound is as bad as the 2WW!!

Lou - Itotally relate, I started spotting light red blood on friday evening, which turned to brown very quickly, not a lot but still scary. I was fine on saturday, then spotted again on sunday morning light red blood with a little stringy clots. after the clots came out the pinkish blood stopped staight away and i spotted light brown all day sunday mainly when i went to the toilet. Again very little but still scary. I still have all my symptons and went for a beta test yesterday (this will be my first one) and waiting for the call from the hospital. i have been resting and i have not bleed anything since yesterday afternoon but not sure what is going on! oh, i transferred two 6 day blasts. my nausea is worst when my belly is empty, so i try to eat regulerly, its the gas which is driving me crazy.

krcaja - thanks and my U/S is on the 2nd March, I am hoping to get an earlier one if my betas show that i am still pregnant and all is still going well.

AFM - I am worried and upset the hospital did not call me yesterday. Woke up at 3am to go toilet and could not go back to sleep due to nausea. Another couple days resting until I get the all clear. No spotting this morning, so fingers and toes crossed.

Hiya, just spoke to the hospital and my beta is 595. the nurse said that its high, but I am not sure. Is 595 at 4wk 5d good or bad? I am having a scan on Thursday afternoon.

Thank you Katie, Sonya, Dallas, and Karen. -- Your posts helped me a lot.

Osi -- I would say 595 is definitely in the normal range for how far along you are. Are you going to get another beta to make sure it's still rising? I only had two betas. I don't even want another one because I don't know what it should even be. Any more bleeding? I am praying all is well... for both of us.

AFM -- Brown spotting has completely stopped. Not even a yellowish tinge any longer. Whitish/clear is it. I did call both RE and OB this morning. Both said they would see me for an early u/s if I really wanted but told me there's not much to see at this point. I decided I didn't want that u/s want in there to aggravate things and said I would wait until my hb check on next Tuesday unless the spotting returned. I'm praying it doesn't. I am definitely still worried though. So is DH and he's the one who usually has it all together. I took my last hpt today. I mean it... last one! It was still nice and dark. I am having some nausea today but my breast tenderness has seemed to disappear. Now I'm wondering if that's normal too. Ugh!

greetings ladies...

I had my u/s today. i am so filled with happiness, joy, and alot of mixed emotions. Baby A measured 6w6d ( I am 7 weeks today) with a heartbeat of 135. The Dr was very excited about the baby's heartbeat and measurements. However she was unable to find the heartbeat with Baby B and said the baby was measuring small. I was too overwhelmed to ask questions. She said that Baby B might be ok and just needs s few more days to show on the u/s. There was a definite sack but it was smaller. I am so torn. On one hand I am so happy to be pregnant and have one strong heartbeat but on the other I am kinda sad and anxious for the second baby, I kinda wish she just said the baby is or is not going to make it. I am hoping it just implanted later and will catch up. Also hoping it was the angle and she had a hard time seeing it because of the transvaginal u/s. Wishful thinking I'm sure.

lou- STAY AWAY FROM THE STICKS!!! Dont worry!!! You will get through this pregnancy just fine!!! We will go all 9 months together.

As for everyone else...can u post your betas, u/s appointment results etc...we will all make it to the end just fine!!!

AFM...my naseau isnt really that bad and it comes and goes. it seems worse at night after I get up for the 5th time to pee!!
Still have sore boobs but that also comes and goes along with the pulling senations and occasional sharp pains.

Karen -- I forgot to tell you that when I called my OB office today about my spotting, the nurse told me it was "implantation bleeding". I really didn't believe her as I thought I knew that implantation bleeding can only happen during initial implantation around days 6-12 dpo. I'm 25 dpo!!! I guess your doc telling you that makes me believe it a bit more.

krcaja -- I'm so happy that your u/s went well. I really think baby B will catch up. It's common to have one larger and have a hb earlier than the other. I've got everything crossed for baby B. Baby A sounds like a real trooper! Congrats! My beta's and u/s are in my signature and my due date is 10/14. Are you making a list?!? :D

AFM -- I keep running to the bathroom to check for spotting but so far none to be seen today, thank the Lord. I'm hoping that's a good sign still. I'm going to definitely take it extremely easy until after my u/s. Gosh, I really hope my little one is ok in there. Still nausea coming in waves a few times today. My appetite has definitely left me. I'm not able to eat much at one time at all. Weird.

Uh oh.... m/s hit me BIGTIME this morning. I felt just fine when I got up. I walked into the bathroom, peed, washed my hands, and was going to brush my teeth when it hit. I ended up wretching over the toilet for darn near 20 minutes. My stomach is so sore now. After it stopped, I felt fine again, and still do. Weird. I don't know what to make of that. How's everyone else doing? Any more spotting anyone? Luckily, no more for me, whew! You're all in my thoughts today.

It sounds wierd but I told hubby that I havent felt "as pregnant" over the last 2 days. I dont know what it is but Im just not as tired, no cravings etc. I took a hpt today just to try to ease my mind. It was a first response, the pregnancy indicator line was dark and quick to appear, but the test line was light. Dont know what that means, now I have freaked myself out! I am going to try in the am with morning urine to try to get better results. Counting down til the u/s Monday.

Wait Dallas... Which are you calling the "pregnancy line" and which the "test line"? I'm confused. On the FRER I always thought the line on the left was the test line (aka pregnancy line) and the one on the right the control line. When I do that brand, the left line is much darker than the right control line. Is it the same for you? I can't wait for my u/s either. Mine is tuesday because I have a work retreat on monday that is mandatory and all day. I'm kicking myself for not taking the monday appointment!

hi all... well lou, i'm kinda glad you got the ms!! i know you know what i mean :) it's very reassuring that things are well hey? and dallas, i wouldn't worry about the coloring on the hpt's as they're not meant to be read for their strength when your hcg is so high.. and yours is.. just be glad it turned color and leave it at that. (geesh- look who's talking!?- i should take my own advice to relax)

so my symptoms have almost disappeared for the past 3 days. i'm glad i have a headache tonight, and i can see my stomach still popping out, and as i've backed off on the junk food overeating, i think it's not just from poor diet. my u/s is monday and i've been preparing myself for the worst. my food cravings are gone, fatigue is almost gone, although i did feel short of breath again today, which is something that really bugged me a couple weeks ago and in my last pregnancy.. but i didnt get up to pee in the middle of the night last night and somehow that depressed me.

krcaja.. i'm so glad your u/s went well and i'm really rooting for babyB... i can understand that it's harder not knowing what's happening with babyB.. sometimes if it's bad news, i just want to know soon, cause otherwise the anxiety around it just kills me. when is your next u.s?
