Welcome Field

Dee - congrats thanks for the news Trusting. Wow, I'm soooo happy for you. Whoo Hooo!!!

Trusting- This is all in God's hands and I have trust him.

rph - thank the lord someone is starting stims! xoxo to ya

Kay - I pray for the day the Lord says to you 'Wait no longer for it is done’ I hear you, it hard to get excited and have so much hope and then have it dashed. That makes me feel bipolar. So I try to remain numb because I cannot take the ups and downs, especially on these crazy hormones.

All- I had a 20 follicle on my left side. I am just crying. I just don't understand what is going on. I can't even get a kick start. I'm so depressed right now. My body is betraying me at every turn.

So the doctor took me off of the estradiol and he said I should start taking again on cycle day 21. I need to write my main doctor and see what he has to say.

I am disappointed but I am still standing. Hey, at least I get to go to New York for my disappointment prize. I am a blessed and luck girl.

Greekchick--I did find this online about Doranda but they don't use it here in the states so I don't know anyone who has used it before but from the conclusion at the bottom seems to be effective in what it does. Hope that helps.....

Objectives
To compare the effects of depot and daily forms of GnRH analogs in IVF programs.
Methods
One hundred seventeen patients undergoing IVF, with no severe male factor, were randomized between two treatment groups. Pituitary desensitization was obtained in group 1 (60 patients) with a single IM injection of leuprorelin is doranda(3.75 mg), and in group 2 (57 patients) with buserelin (0.3 mg SC twice daily). In a subgroup of 10 patients (5 for the depot form and 5 for the daily form) several GnRH tests were performed to investigate pituitary desensitization.
Results
No differences were found in the time to reach desensitization. Resumption of pituitary activity occurred in 7 days with the daily form and in about 2 months with the depot form. No significant differences were found in the stimulation pattern, oocyte quality, percentage of fertilization. The pregnancy rate per transfer was slightly, but not significantly, better in the depot group (29.4% vs 25.9%). Implantation rate (11.9% vs 12.3%) and the percentage of miscarriages (26.6% vs 28.5%) were similar.
Conclusion
Depot and daily forms of GnRH analogs are equally effective in superovulation induction for IVF. Considering improved patient compliance and preference, depot forms are advantageous.

Hello ladies,

Greekchick - any questions are welcome. Sometimes better hear answers from girls who are going through the same rather than what the docs tell us!

Kamina - thanx girl, I hope everything will turn out the best for you and quickly. It is so stressful when our bodies begin to display all sorts of things we don't understand and seem to be working against us.

Rph - Good luck with the stims. A nasty part of the treatment (at least I say so) but a great advance towards success!

Amanda - I'm feeling pretty bad. Terrible lower back pain - Body prolly protesting I cut off all Pilates work out for nearly two weeks ago when I was as bloated as 5 months pregnant w/ twins, OR, WORSE - the progesterone suppositories and estradiol pills are making me feel this lovely pain in addition to being bloated, moody, hungry and tired. Truly. I'm tired of me :(

DH and I are still not talking about the possibility of success. Both times we had transfers our embies were grade A, yet both transfers (2 embies the 1'st, 1 the 2'nd) ended in a chemical pregnancy. So difficult to believe it can actually happen to us.

Prayers and sorry for my mood,
K

Greekchick,

I was worried about the ER as well but it really wasn't anything to be worried about. I have heard of women working all day the day after!!! It is just like having extra cramps and you will be really bloated from your ovaries swelling so it will be uncomfortable but nothing to be worried about. My husband was in Afghanistan so we had a frozen sample from before he left that we used on our IVF cycle so im not sure of the exact timing of his sample just know it is the same day. He might give it earlier (when you can, if so desired give him visual stimulus) and then be able to be with you before you go in for the ER I don't know????? When is your ER???

Many Blessings,
Trusting

Hi ladies,

6 days past 3dt, I have 6 more days to go until my Beta test. I have no symptoms what so ever, my belly that was extremely bloated after ER and first reaction to re-getting used to the progesterone suppositories is now almost back to normal. I don't pee extra, I don't crave foods nor dislike some, I don't have cramps, my lower back pain has been gone for the past three days. Also one pill was enought to kill that mild headache I had yesterday that may have been caused by me nagging to me about infact having NO SYMPTOMS. I know in my head it's anyhow too soon. I just pray.

Kay-Praying that you will get your twins this time......I know its hard to stay positive but it is certainly much more enjoyable. I know plenty of women who had no symptoms for the first 4 to 5 weeks of pregnancy so it is way too early to be thinking about symptoms. May God grant you the desires of your heart....may His will be your desire. Plenty of Baby dust and prayers your way.

Greekchick-Our fertilization with the frozen sperm was good we had 9 eggs fertilize. We didn't get our Big Fat Positive but I don't think it had anything to do with his sperm, I think it was the fact that I had to use double the stims that I have used in the past and that really messed with my body I was all out of whack and I just don't think my levels were where they needed to be for implantation. Keep us posted on how many follicles you have growing and such when you have your ultra sound(u/s).

Dee- I have been stalking her facebook account and her beta levels where down at first but now they have doubled as they were supposed to. Her last beta was 436 and they were just hoping it would be over 300 so Lord willing I think her little one it growing strong!!! Praise God!

rph- getting close to stims, Yahoo!

Kamina-My thoughts and prayers are with you....

AFM just waiting for May when my DH comes home and for sept. when we are moving to Germany and for another IVF attempt, Yahoooo!!! trying to focus on my three classes and get this degree done!!!!!! I will graduate in Aug right before we leave.

Blessings to all,

Hello All,

Greekchick hey! Just wanted to say that I've read that it's quite a standard procedure in many clinics to ask the man to give a sample a week before the actual day of the retrieval, and then ask him again on the day itself. This way if DH is stressed/embarrassed and so on and either doesn't make it or the quality and count turned out poor due to all the pressure of the day - they can compare it with the sample (perhaps given in the privacy of your own home prior to delivering it) and see which one has the better quality and count. Good luck!

Amanda - I'm so scared. Where did all my advices to others go? Only one thing is giving me hope...a positive answer on Monday and forward! Pray for no more chemical pregnancies, pray for no more beta hell, pray for children, happy healthy children.
This morning I felt some cramps, but it could either be AF or me and my hormones being illusive. I am maybe more scared now than on my first cycle being familiar with having to start all over again.

Prayers for you all, May is approaching in huge steps. Then comes September!

Kay- Praying for you!! May the Lord Bless you in becoming a mother! May His tender mercy allow you this joy. Don't worry about not having symptoms we all know ladies who have not had any symptoms and thought it was not going to be positive and then it actually was positive!!!!

rph- hope the stimming is going well when is your first u/s?

Kamina- when do you go again for another check?

AFM: Just counting the days. On spring break from school right now so I am going to Ohio where my mom and the rest of my mothers side of family is on Wednesday after work and I am going to stay till Sunday morning. I look forward to seeing my neice Fiona she is 1 and a half and my brothers only child. Him and his girlfriend finanly got pregnant when she was 38 and she gave birth when she was 39. I like their story gives me hope even though they did not have to go through all the stuff we go through it was still hard for them too.

Blessings to all,
