Sophie

How lovely to hear from you but poor you - I feel for you I really do and there is nothing I can say to make it any better. I totally understand where you are coming from. I still worry about something going wrong and then Read stories and with Dagny's friend............. Then tell myself not to. The worst for me were the first 20 weeks because Oliver died on the 20 wk scan. After that I have been better and everythign is bought and ironed and washed - as we speak I have a line of "dolly" clothes as the neighbours put it! I decided to enjoy my pg and spend less time worrying and more enjoying - I had to make myself and I still think "what if" but carry on. I am 31 weeks tomorrow and have a scan at the hospital every 4 wks (normal for twins) the next is two weeks today! I now see the midwife in between so saw her monday but this is the first time someone has seen me in between a scan - she normallly checks me just before as a favour. Last scan they were 3lb each and just over normal size for singletons! They were very pleased and said not to come back until 4 weeks so will see what they say this time. I know if I feel the need they will scan before that. As for plans well going for natural and yes I do worry about delivery and soemthing happening to one but hey ho let's see!
Try if possible to enjoy it Sophie - I am not telling you or lecturing to go out and buy stuff - that can wait (though I have had a lovely time shopping and doing the nursery etc) even if the only thing you get is some sanity and some peace to help the babies grow better. Loads of luck on the scan - I know it's a big one and take little steps ok........ I am here if you need me
Love
Tracey

Dear Sophie

I am sorry I haven't replied sooner. I had all intentions of doing it and now have realised that time has run away with me.

I am sorry you are feeling like this. I can only imagine how you must be feeling and I am sure I will be just like you when and if I ever get PG again. I have just started my down regging yesterday and I am so scared it won't work and I won't be able to cope with the negative feelings.

How did your 20 week scan go today?? I hope all went well. Please let us know how it went. Have you or are you going to find out the sex of the babies???

It's not going to be easy when you get to the time for their delivery and you won't relax until you have them safely in your arms which is only natural. I am sorry if the news of my friend had worried you as I know it worried Tracey which was not my intention at all.

It's great that you can work from home now to lessen the stress levels and you should be able to feel more relaxed.

Take care and let us know how your scan went today.

Love Dagny xkx

Hi all , i went for my 20 week scan on monday and everything was fine , so thats another milestone out of the way !, i then had another internal scan on tuesday to check the cervix length which is also fine but she has booked me in to see her again in 2 weeks just to check , i was the one who used to be so worried about internals that i used to stress 3 days before having one . I've also got another scan where they specifically look at the hearts in about 3 weeks time . I was asked if i asked the sex of the babies at the scan but i didnt and thats because that way it becomes more real ( does that make sense !! ) , i'm working from home and thinking that really if i had twins we really need to sort out space etc because we live in a 3 bed house , my mum who is a widow is with us and my in laws are with us from time to time as they are elderly and spend time between here and pakistan ,BUT dont want to do anything at all although practically it will be hard when fingers crossed babies do arrive home . In addition my husband is very impractical in any household matters !!! , anyway better start some work ,take care sophie

Hi Sophie

That's such good news and a huge relief I am sure.

Gosh you will have a house full won't you? I know I won't be buying much next time when I am PG as I won't want to be tempting fate. There are no rules saying you have to have everything before the birth anyway.

I am so happy that things are going so well. I am still down regging and start stimms next week so fingers crossed.

Take care
