longtimerivf- There is still plenty of time for her to turn, so you just may end up delivering vaginally. If that's the case, will they still induce you at 39 weeks? I'm glad the room is close to finished...must be a huge relief!
Lydia- So sorry about your cold & that you're feeling unsure & anxious about your upcoming u/s. I'm confident everything is fine. I hope Monday comes quickly for you. Besides the cold, how do you feel?
Yingz- She is gorgeous! Congrats again!
Alisa- Wow, I can't believe Evie is 4 weeks! Where does the time go?
tuffy- Congrats on team blue times 2! How was your u/s on Thursday? Don't worry so much about the weight. Some women put on more weight in the beggining/middle of their pregnancies, whereas other women don't gain much until the end. What do your contractions feel like? Sometimes, I get a tightening in my abdomen, but it doesn't relax. It just stays tight for like a half hour. This usually coincides when I feel a little out of breath. Exercise? Huh, what's that? I have not been able to do anything. I just try to take a walk here & there if the weather is decent.
Mora- Grady is such a cutie! Besides the pre-eclampsia scare, sounds like you had a smooth & quick delivery! Enjoy your LO!
bodie- So glad your 20w u/s went well! How are you feeling? How much weight have you gained?
Maria- OMG!!! Yay...I'm so ecstatic to see you on this side! You have been through so much! Congratulations times 2! Sorry about the injections you'll be on, but it will all be so worth it!
Barbara- How are you feeling?
Katie- I will post some pics in a bit. You need to play 13 on lottery tickets...it sure is your lucky number! So, are you ready for Tuesday?
Jen- I understand your worry & concern. I was like that probably up until I was 22 weeks. I still get worried here & there, but it's not as bad as it used to be. It just comes w/ the territory for us IVF girls! Your midwife is extremely insensitive & I'm glad you said something. You want & need this experience to be as stress-free as possible! Doesn't it feel great to start feeling movement?! When I first started feeling them, it was when I was sitting at my desk, too! It would be very random, but I did find that when I ate something sweet & fruity (clementines...love them), I would feel them. I like your name choices. For a girl, I like Brooklyn.
ttcnb- How are you doing?
DragonDad- You've been really quiet. Hope everything's ok.
Nancy- Have you had your 38w appointment yet? How are you doing?
AFM- Well, I had a little bit of a scare on Wednesday. It was almost 8:00am & I was in school sitting behind my desk. Homeroom had just started. All of a sudden, I felt my heart racing, I couldn't breathe, I was nauseous, & I was really hot! The other teacher in the room noticed right away that something was wrong. So, I sat back & just tried to breathe through it & relax. As soon as I felt a little better, I walked down to the nurse's office. She took my pulse, which was 104, & my blood pressure, which was 132/68. She had me sit in there for a little bit & when I was fine, I left. I taught periods 1 & 2, had a prep during period 3, & during period 4, I was in a meeting. I was sitting there listening when all of a sudden, I started hearing "whah, whah" (helicopter-like) noises in my right ear. Apparently, I turned really pale & everyone was like, "Are you ok?" They ended up calling the nurse, who came & got me in a wheelchair. So, of course, as she is pushing me through the hallway, the bell rings & all the kids come out of the classrooms. All I could see are looks of horror, concern, & fear & all I could hear is "Is she going to have her babies?" Of course, I'm feeling anxiety at this moment on top of not feeling well. All I could say to them is "I'm ok...just felt a little dizzy." So, when I got to the nurse's office, she took my pulse, which was 72, & my blood pressure, which was 132/86. So, they both had improved from the earlier readings. I already had an appointment scheduled at 1:45 b/c I actually called about the morning episode during my period 3 prep. Anyways,
DH had to come get me b/c they said I had to go home & couldn't drive.
DH picked me up & we went straight to the
OB's office. By the time we got there, my pulse & blood pressure were okay & my urine was fine. These types of symptoms have been happening to me the past couple of weeks, but since they come & go, the
OB said he wasn't concerned with pre-eclampsia. He listened to the babies' h/bs & they were good. He didn't do an u/s since I have one scheduled w/ the MFM department for this coming Tuesday, but he thinks that b/c their h/bs were both below my belly button, they are both face-down. So, that's a good thing; although, I know there's plenty of time for things to change. They never measure pregnant women of twins b/c it's expected that they will be bigger than pregnant women of single babies, but he did anyways. I'm 26w, but measuring at 33w if it were a single baby. They're going to start seeing me every 2 weeks, so I go back on the 16th. However, I go on Tuesday for an u/s & my 1 hour GD test. I've been fine the past 2 days, so I hope that was just a random incident & doesn't happen again!
