Hi Ladies!
Sue, I am still just so happy for you! I know it starts a whole new set of worries to have the BFP, but it's definitely a step in the right direction!
In terms of Amnio, I don't think we'll consider that unless the sequential screen shows something abnormal. It seems like double the risk with twins.
Lyd, how are you doing? Did they recommend genetic testing after the vanishing twin? How are you feeling about the vanishing twin? I have to be honest, after I heard it happened to you (and again, I'm so sorry it did), I starting obsessing about it and researching it a bit. I could not wait until our next ultrasound, which was today.
Kerpupples, I'm glad that everything is looking good with your twins. That is definitely exciting. How have you been feeling?
Barb, how are you feeling? Are you starting to show more and more? Have you felt any kicks (I know it's still early for that)?
AFM, had my first OB appt with a MD at my clinic (I saw the midwives with my son before). Before the MD appt, we had our 12 week sequential screen ultrasound. It was amazing to see both babies, hearts beating and arms and legs now moving. I am so happy right now! The sonographer thought that there's a good chance that Baby A is a girl (and possibly even Baby B). It's so crazy to think about having a girl after our son. I had a feeling it was a girl/boy set of twins, so we'll see if it ends up being 2 girls at our next ultrasound. Unfortunately, they couldn't see the transnuchal measurements well, so they didn't get to complete that part of the sequential screening. I still had the blood test, so hopefully those results will be normal and I won't worry about it too much. We'll just have to see. The sonographer mentioned that it's pretty difficult with twins and ours were not cooperating by being at the right angle. After the ultrasound, we had the WORST appt. with the MD. She introduced herself and then asked, so it looks like you only have one placenta? We questioned her and then she wasn't sure what she saying. After that, she kept on giving us answers to questions we didn't trust. When I asked about exercise, she recommended no exercise!! Have any of your OB MDs said that to you guys? I'm going to talk to my clinic about her. I would never want this doctor to perform a c-section on me; I totally wouldn't trust her! I've never felt so strongly about a physician being incompetent before...it was so strange!
I am definitely moving into maternity clothes now...I only have one pair of regular pants that I can still wear.
I hope you ladies are feeling good! I love hearing all of your updates:)
