Kay-I'm so happy to hear that try were able to save your ovary and super delighted to hear that the dictirs all agree that you should keep both babies. I wish I had some words of wisdom on the whole bed rest thing but i ended up working up until the day o went into labor and delivered the girls. I think that bed test could not hurt so do what you need to and what you think is best fir you and your kittle ones. I am keeping you in my thoughts and prayers.

Kay~ You have been through so much. I am glad they saved the ovary. And it sounds like you're at peace with the decision to keep both. I am not that familar w NT scans. I even got out my son's to refer to and I still couldn't understand it all. By the NT part in his scan, it says 1.2 mm and he's totally normal. I have no idea is that helps at all. The bedrest thing is so hard to answer. Bedrest is so unhealthy for so many reasons (decreases blood flow, etc.) but if you need to do it to prevent contractions, you will probably have no choice. It may be a long few months for you. Boy/girl combo sounds fun.

Pocos~ Glad to hear the acupunture went well. Good for you for taking control on your health. What's up w the therapists not calling you back?

Kynlee~ you're moving a long. I'm sure each week brings some relief.

Sunshine~ this IVF attain program has been quite the project for you. I'm REALLY hoping the bloodwork comes back ok for you so you can start soon. Keeping my fingers crossed.

Nicole~ your case load sounds brutal. And I can completely relate to your working out comment. I have been almost angry these past 3 years because it seems like I get in shape and then cycle and have to start all over again. Drives me crazy. I hate the feeling of starting jogging all over again and being short of breath after .5 mile. I am very sorry. You have had a rough go.

Ninde~ I didn't know you were looking into adoption. I did that for awhile and then I just got frustrated and quit the process. Nice to see you on FB. I wish people had signatures over there bc I'm so confused on everyone's history.

Julia~ 28 weeks! Congrats!

Leora~ How are you? u/s tomorrow?

AFM~ had ultrasound. Two heartbeats! We are very excited but of course we still have a long journey ahead of us.

Hi all!! Been a long time and too long. I joined the FB group some have on here and needed to get back on here! I've missed you all! I must go through all the updates to see how things are going!

We have 61 days until we leave! :) It won't be before Thanksgiving but that's okay. We plan to surprise my parents by telling them a day or two later than we are coming! We will get plane tickets soon I hope! Glad the military pays for that, since they don't pay for animals to fly and it will be $300 for our two.

I get to call next month to make my first IVF appointment! I tried a couple months ago but they didn't have a schedule for next year yet and the RE (only one that works there) get a month off once a year and not sure when he was taking that yet. I hope for a March start cause taxes will be back by then! :)

Hope everyone is doing well.

Maria, congrats on your little girls!!! Didn't think I'd been that long! They are so beautiful!! :)

Jayne- Congratulations on TWINS! I know you and dh must be over the MOON...maybe it will be one of each flavor! :D :D

Maria- How was your walk with the girls? So good chatting with you AND thank you for answering my question about bcp.
It's been a while since I've cycled with IVF but cannot wait to get everything started. We'll hear back next week on the ATTAIN program.

Leora- How are you doing? I know it seems ridiculous and I hate waiting until Friday to find out. Yes we finally got the loan approved YET now it all depends on the AMA test coming through AND hopefully this makes up for the FSH test since they drew b/w on day 10 instead of cycle day 3. All shrewed up but we shall see!

Gina- Hey girl, I was just thinking of you! Wahooo 61 days cannot get here any sooner! :D

WaitingKay- I'm glad that the surgery went well and you got to keep the ovary and couldn't be happier to hear about the twin catching up. This is wonderful news and I glad you are home now!

Pocos- Yeah and use that razor to cut somebody's head off! lol sometimes laughter is the best medicine! On Friday I struggled with anger management issues...FIrst my car would not crank, so I took what I learned from my mailman last Monday and used the boat battery to jump off my car. lol I really couldn't remember exactly how so I went online and learned the red is ALWAYS positive and after a few minutes of studying how to do this I took a chance and omg it actually worked, I got my car jumped off with my husbands boat battery. I was so excited that I nearly peed in my pants! This was a big day for me since I know very little about cars and such... Anyway I pulled into the mechanic's shop and left it running while I had a mechanic pull it into the garage. Minutes later they confirmed it was the battery AND would cost me 204.00 for labor and the battery. I called my dh thinking that was alot to pay he couldn't believe what he was hearing. Told me we could go to Autozone and replace it ourselves for under 100 bucks. So I told the mechanic because we are budgeting money with our jobs and such we decided to take care of the battery...he then bills me for 44.00 I was like are you kidding me for what? He said for diagnosic testing, I said but it only took 10 mnutes he said had it been an hour he would of charged 88.00. So I call my husband back and he said just pay it and get out of there. He was fuming too and so I got my visa card out and the mechanic said times are tough for everyone right now. He went on and said my wife left me with 5 kids to feed and no child support some nights I'm wondering how we're all going to eat. I know he was trying to make me feel a little sorry for him..But I was so mad about the bill I interrupted him and said 5 kids huh you have no idea how much I would give just to have one kid do you? I spend thousands of dollars of fertility treatment and years of trying to start a family no sir it's not supposed to be this way either! He repsonded I'm sorry to vent to you ma'am. I know I was being out of my normal compassionate complex but I paid and said have a good day. I felt mistreated and robbed and when I told dh about the way he made me feel he first asked was anyone else in there, I said nope. He said good because I used to deal with this place all the time and it's only 5 minutes from his work but after this he's not ever stepping foot in there for sure now knowing they know about us. Oh crap I was so caught up I didn't think about how it would make dh feel. When I apologized for talking to a mechanic about our personal stuff he said you are more important then any mechanic so don't you feel bad. So that was my rampage for the weekend and dh got my car taken care of for a lot less! We had a warranty on the battery at Autozone. Dh really thought it was the timing belt and had me convinced it was since he had tested the battery at home it was fine. I don't know but someone at work once told me don't sweat over the small stuff, these things are only temporally.

Ninde- My thoughts exactly, no mechanic should ever rob us like that! I was checking out there website to post a complaint but they have no such place to post comments for poor customer service. I will let the local people I know to be aware. I hope you get some much needed rest, I've been feeling like crap every since I started bcp, very sluggish today. xx

Sunshine, what crap. I'm sorry you had such a rough day.

Gina, so glad the countdown is on!

Ninde, I'm sorry the adoption process sucks. I get so frustrated because these kids need homes and the red tape is blocking the way.

Kay, so glad to see you are home and things are positive. I don't have advice, just happy you are ok.

Jayne, congrats!

Pocos, I hope you find some peace soon. I know it can be really hard to accept medication. You need to weigh all the risks and benefits and make a decision that is right for you. Sometimes will power isn't enough.

Afm, had a good long distance jaunt today. I did 7.3 miles on the trail. It was a run/walk mix. I was happy with it. Then we went shopping for Halloween. It's my favorite!

Kay - there is a new test for down syndrome called MaterniT21 from Sequenom. check it out - it looks for DNA fragments and works with multiples. I had it done with a vanishing twin while I couldn't do first trimester screening.

Jayne - huge congrats!

Kay – I am so glad you are home and that they were able to save your ovary!! I’ll continue to pray for you.

Jayne – congratulations!! Twins are a double blessing!

Sunshine – I also know very very little about cars, I can imagine how exciting it was for you! I am glad everything worked out ok and you guys were able to save money!

Ninde – I am feeling a little better – thanks for the list of therapists, but they are so far from where I am ☹ I wish they were closer. I am still waiting for the other therapists to call me back ☹ Adoption is not as easy as I thought it was. I’d love to adopt but when I saw all the requirements and waiting time, I thought IVF was easier LOL

Nicole – I know what you mean, I am trying, but I am not sure if I will be able to handle everything that is going on in my life without medication, especially with a mom that has anxiety disorder and a father that had panic disorder.

AFM – feeling a little better, had a little fun this weekend. Still haven’t started taken the Lexapro… I am taking something the naturopath doctor gave me and it seems its helping a little bit. I have acupuncture again on Wednesday and also start lupron Wednesday. I will be doing acupuncture every week, hopefully that will help manage the anxiety since no therapists have called me yet!

does anyone else get the "you can just adopt!" comment and want to strangle people? Sheesh.

Our ideal situation is taking home a healthy newborn. At this point, we don't care if I ever get pregnant again or if the baby is biologically ours. If we could adopt a new baby - that would be AMAZING! But we can't. The road to adoption is so long, and so risky, and so potentially heartbreaking. Whenever people make stupid comments about how people should adopt instead of fertility treatments (mostly perfectly fertile people, obviously), they should first research what it takes to adopt.

We are also on a waiting list for adoption - as well as the governments "foster to adopt" program. Both are very long, very stressful waits - with no guarantees at the end. I hate how people are all so uneducated about what adoption really is.

Anywhoooo - rant over :D

OB appt today went great. Baby is doing great. I'm still losing weight, so I'm supposed to take the Zofran regularly and eat more. The only time in my life I'm supposed to eat more and I don't want to!

Tomorrow starts the Jewish holiday of Yom Kippur - when God decides our fate for the coming year. I hope everyone has a year full of happiness, love and joy. (and babies! but if not babies, then at least love and laughter...)

Kay- I am so glad to hear you are back home, and that the twins are both doing Good... Glad the little one caught up that is a positive sign for sure... What a relieve that they saved your ovary, It seems you had some good Dr's at this hospital glad they think that the twins will be ok and you didnt have to make any huge decisions... Thinking of you always and your family is all in my prayers... Hugs PS I also heard about the Meterna 21 test its blood work so you would havent to go through your belly button for this screening...

Jayne- Congrats on the twins how exciting :) Yes each day I feel alittle bit more at ease, just trying to enjoy things at this point... Less worrying for me :)

Pocos- Glad you are starting some acupunture that should help relieve some of the aches and pains and clear your head alittle... You are in my prayers and I cant wait to cheer you on in this next round :)

I wish my BIL could read some of these posts about adoption. He loves kids and wants them someday... But there is also a good chance of him having the same birth defect as my DH that would make having his own impossible without IVF. He is not married, but is in a committed relationship and plans to get married "when they can afford it." A few years ago I suggested that he get tested, so that they would at least know if they were going to be facing the same thing we are and could take that into consideration with their timing. He totally blew me off, some line about whatever was meant to be. I was surprised and asked him if that meant he didn't want children, to which I got the airy reply that if he couldn't have any of his own he would "just adopt." Just like that, no big deal. At that point I completely dropped the conversation, it was that or blow up at him entirely about the happy little lala land he is living in if he thinks anybody can "just adopt" like it's no big deal. We have family friends who have two adopted children (after over a dozen failed self-pay IVF cycles). Basically they got newborns because he is a doctor and they have lots of money. Their first son was born at an abortion clinic (I know, makes you want to puke doesn't it?) and their second son they got through a private arrangement where they paid the teenaged mother's living and medical expenses throughout her pregnancy in exchange for being allowed to adopt the baby. This was their second time with that arrangement, the first time the mother kept changing her mind after giving birth so they walked away. Bottom line, it is not easy to adopt.

Christy: I think that's a good idea. I know we try to do good things for people but he shouldnt have done what he did and people should know. Are you going to do accupuncture this cycle?

Nicole: wow, that's an amazing walk/run. I did the second week of the biggest loser and put on another pound.mim not risking week 3!!

Lyd: how are you?!

Pocos: have you tried asking your doctor for names of therapists in the area?

Leora: I know precisely what you mean. Another country was shut to us today. That leaves us with Florida I would love florida only two issues being we in ireland have a constitutional challenge going through as to the rights of the biological mother and not taking her baby at 3 days old. Plus it will cost us just over 65,000 US dollars to adopt from florida which we dont have. Really thrilled your beautiful baby is doing well

Waiting Kay: how are

Wonder cat: wow, I cant imagine the baggage a baby born in a clinic would carry - and that's no judgements on any women who have found themselves having to make that sort of choice.

Afm: started back on the four hour body today. Oh I miss carbs already
