Hi Margi26,

Thanks so much for replying to my question and I am so happy that everything worked out so splendidly for you!! :D

I was planning to go to Cyprus and they didn't think it would be an issue as long as, as you said, I kept well-hydrated and didn't carry any luggage etc. They also suggested that I consider the option of staying out there for the 2ww but I know I would be much more comfortable in my own home environment. Also hubby can't stay out that long.

I am still thinking about all my options as although the price is much lower abroad, they always say that stress is a very important factor in success and international travel is not exactly stress-free these days, especially when it involves couple of connections!!

Thanks so much for your reply!!

HI Zahara,

I too am planning to travel to Cyprus for treatment, have you picked a clinic yet? I am trying to decide that now, but there are so many to pick from that it is a bit over whelming. Treatment abroad is cheaper, I currently live in Europe so the travel would not be as far for me, plus the idea of getting to see Cyprus sounds nice it itself. When do you plan to start your procedure?
Me 41 PCOS DH 42 (vasectomy)
DD 20 clomid
DD 18 natural (surprise)
DD 13 clomid

I was told the best advice is to relax and take it easy. I know it sounds easy to say, but i think we put more pressure on ourselves when we start focusing too much on the end result. My first IVF cycle did not work out and now looking back at things, i think the biggest difference would be the way we approach and deal with easch stage of the cycle.

Crap... since the blast transfer I have laid out by the pool for an hour max most days to "destress" haven't swam, but did just get water on my legs and arms.. have also gone on walks with the dog, had sex after 4 days (DH), no orgasm.. are these all recipes for it not to work? In the 2ww (next Saturday).

I traveled and am traveling as well. I am currently on my 3rd day post transfer. I have to fly home tomorrow and it is a 17 hr total travel time :( .
My first time here there were many delays and I did not get the transfer until the day of my departure. After reading this I have to wonder the wisdom of the RE here. That makes me a little sad and confused.
I am traveling basically alone, although I have my elderly mother with me she is actually more work than help.
I have been trying hard not to lift anything and trying very hard not to walk too much. I was told no swimming, no sex, no heavy lifting and no abths or swimming.
I am hoping that this works because there is not another chance for me. I would think the IVF clinic would say you have to stay for 2 weeks if it was important to stay very still not do anything etc ...right?

Hello everyone! I don't want to spam this site, but I just wanted to stop in and wish you the best on your IVF!

I have a lot of experience with IVF myself, and want to actively help people who are going through with process.

I've got a website up that I'm filling up with IVF resources:

If you don't like the noise from others ,then this cell phone signal jammer blocker can help you block the signal.
