Nicole- I'm thinking of you this morning and hoping the MS flare goes away soon. Any updates from the doctor for possible upcoming Laproscopic surgery?

Patricia- How are you feeling today? Really would it cost 65,000 to adopt internationally from Florida, where did you come up with amount? There has to be another agency to look into plus I'm gathering international is more complicated then domestic. I wish I could ship my pg coworker's baby to Ireland. You know in a heartbeat I would in a heartbeat if I could. Seriously my boss, the coworker and I were chatting the other day and my boss said soon I'm going to have to hire someone to replace you for the holidays looking right at my pg coworker.
She said but I'll be coming back in 4 months (we have a 4 month maturity leave but since she's part-time there is no compensation.) Later I asked her who's going to keep the baby when you come back to work, she said I haven't figured that part out yet. I honestly don't know how she's going to do it, they moved in with her boyfriend's mom last month to save money and a decent daycare cost around $125 a week! I know she'll ultimately have financial government assistance, but it's still not right. The other night she stayed out until 2:30 am with 5 of her friends and she had to be back at work at 8:30 that morning...She said they had free concert tickets and this might be her last opportunity to go out before the baby comes. Her friends she kept telling her to call out but she got told them no they don't understand she needs this job. She got to work dressed and on time so I couldn't say a whole lot but in my mind I was thinking her priorities are so messed up and when this baby comes she's going to be in a huge reality shock but that's her troubles not mine. We hear these stories and realize their whole life is completely turned upside down. It doesn't bring us to a happier place but we know it's not the life they planned out either. Here I know when it finally happens to us we'll have far more gratitude and well be far more prepared for this life changing event.

Pocos- I will keep praying with you, just remember take it one day at a time. One thing I've learned about this journey is after a while you become stronger and do things you never thought possible. I remember self-administrating my first ever injection while dh was away, it was the Ganelrex shot to get me from ovulating. Seriously I was chatting with someone at the clinic about how I would be willing to pay someone $10 to give me a shot, that's how terrified I was! After it was over I thought why did I create a big fuss over a tiny needle but I say that now right?

AFM: Not sure what to do with my off day maybe take an afternoon nap. Need to find something to wear to my cousin's upcoming wedding. We're very close from when she was a newborn I got to be there to welcome her home. She's not so little anymore at 23 and beautiful inside and out. They're having a garden wedding near a barn just down the street from my in-laws house AND I'm begging dh to come with me but he's not sure if he can get off from work next Saturday. I really hope so for two reasons he could see alot of his family and mine but not only that he could take care of my injections...we shall see! Working on getting the meds ordered now. Turns out I will be on a long lupron cycle too Pocos. When I called my new insurance company I found out they need the medical diagnosis code to check to see if my meds would be partially covered. They said LUPRON is used for breast cancer treatment to treat fibriods as well as endometri... but for ART treatment or insemination it wouldn't be covered. I think when I told the guy all about the out of pocket cost he was being nice to tell me I could call back with a medical diagnosis code. It's not right how insurance in the state of Florida see fertility treatment as an option just because we are the 3rd largest state in the U.S doesn't mean we still struggle with this. Oh well that's my rant! Just received a phone call from dh telling me he's coming to Alabama next weekend for the wedding so that made my day! Meds should be coming to my doorstep tomorrow afternoon...

Nicole: my dh takes an injection of copaxone each day to keep his relapses to a minimum and to help with the symptoms. His neurologist checks him twice a year. Have you ever been on that type of medication? He has had the iv steroids a few times and doesn't like them either.

Christy: maybe a new thread is a good idea? Perhaps some new people may join? I really dont mind but I want to make sure I can support you through your cycle. There are only two agencies in Ireland for adoption. One is the government and one is a tiny one. Most people cant use the second one but we can because dh is church of ireland. It used to be a quicker route for adoption but now it has to report to the other government agency which has slowed everything down. There are no domestic adoptions in ireland, we must adopt internationally. We have to decide soon whether to adopt from from florida or Vietnam (as the only 2 available to us) and it is our agency who has told us the cost. Its partly so high because we will have to pay all the healthcare costs for the birth mother. The rest is made up of fees to the agencies in the States. I think its appalling. That's brilliant your dh can make the wedding :-)

Patricia- It is appalling that it cost so much for adoption and yet you don't know how long it could take. My best friend I mentioned some time back is pursuing adoption through Georgia and they have been working on this for two years now. I'm not staying this to discourage anyone reading this but like all things it takes time. Anyway I wish you the best in whichever avenue you and dh decide, surely this journey isn't over yet. xx Christy

Sorry I've been mia. I've been exhausted. We traveled this weekend for mil birthday. We had a very nice trip to Vancouver. We went for a long walk on the beach Saturday evening and got to see the full moon rise. Sunday morning we went for a run along the sea wall downtown and that was great too. Work has been intense and I have been working late.

We met with the RE today to talk about next steps. Dh wants to move right into the FET which is fine but we have to talk about the money. We used up benefits and have to pay $8500 for this past cycle and then $4000 up front for the FET. Bleh. Dr didn't have much to say about it all. We did some blood work to see if anything pops up that would cause losses.

Ninde, I have not been on Copaxone but could if I wanted. Because it is daily, I wouldn't need a wash out period for cycling. All of the other meds are off limits until we are done with ivf. I did avonex and that totally sucked. I felt awful and became suicidal. Tysabri was great but had to stop and have a 3 month wash out prior to cycling. I'll go back on something once this is all over. For now I just try to deal.

Sunshine, your coworker is in for quite a shock. I'm glad she still came to work even though she went out. That's a positive step.

Nicole : tgats a he'll of a lot of money. Had you many frosties? Yes ken did avonex in his fist year of diagnosis because he reacted badly to the first interfering and developed awful urticaria but with the avonex he was back in remission within a month it just didn't work fir him. He has been on rebif and one other that I can't remember but copaxone has kept him the most stable. I've heard good things about tsabri too. How are your migraine?

Ninde-thinking of you... Keeping you in my thoughts and prayers. Please know I'm here for you. Sending you a GREAT BIG HUG.

Sorry I haven't posted lately. I've bee quite busy with the girls. I am still vey sleep deprived. Girls are sleeping about 2-3 hours between feeding. Anna has been the most challenging. She cries anytime she is put down especially for bed. The other might she cried on and off for over an hour I need to find a better sleep schedule for them but it's been z challenge. Not sure what to do. Other than that, we are all doing very well. Anna is weighing 9 lbs-11 ounces and Katetina is weighing 8 lbs-12 ounces. A far cry from their birth weights They are really thriving.

Even though I haven't posted, I do read everones updates whenever I get a chance. Please know that I pray for each of you everyday. Sending you all my love. Xoxo...

Love,

Maria

Dear friends,
I have just started this board in order to be able to begin moving on. I just had a MC last week and felt like the world was closing in around. After a failed IUI, a canceled fresh IVF cycle due to OHSS, a BFN, and a BFN with my 1st FET I realy thought this was it. On July 20th we transferred two beutif looking blasts. And to my surprise, I got a positive with a HPT only 4 days after my transfer. My 1st Beta was 275 and the 2nd Beta 1513. Two days after that Beta I began to bleed heavily and I knew in my heart that I had lost both of my little ones. Since then the Beta has fallen sharply an today it was just 428. I am officially at the end of this road and off of all of my meds.

This may be the end of this road but not the end of my journey. This journey can be very difficult and cruel at times. But I will not give up in my dream. If you are looking for a board where you will receive the love and support of ladies who are on the same emotional rollercoaster than this is the board to join. If you are looking for a board where you can share your stories with others and provide support to others in need then this is the board to join. If the Fall of 2011 is your time for a miracle then join this board.

Sending much love and peace to all.

Hi There,

Greethings from Prashanth Fertility Research Center!!

I am Manojj, General Manager - Internation communications & Patients assistance program. I just came across your post at "IVF - Infertile.com" and thought of sharing with you some information about our hospital.

We are one of the worlds best IVF center, located in India, Chennai. At present we maintain 60% to 65% success rate in assisted reproduction. Please visit our website: www.ivfpfrc.com for more information about our hospital. In India, the fertility treatment is cheaper and best in quality. If you require any help / assistance, please feel free to write your reply.

Our Purpose:

Dreams come true, without that possibility, nature would not incite us to have them. Yes, Dr. Geetha Haripriya is here to help you achieve your dream.

Dr. Geetha Haripriya herself underwent the agony of infertility & being childless for more than 15 years after marriage, tried in vain to achieve pregnancy in India. Having realized that technology has not improved, she went abroad at the cost of huge money and personal discomfiture.

As the Buddhist Proverb says, “ When the student is ready, the master appears”. Dr. Geetha Haripriya experienced the pain of childless couple left alone in our country and decided to help them all. With that in mind and sacrificing all comforts and ignoring all the advice's given to her by the doctors abroad to safe guard her pregnancy, she underwent all the training and learnt the techniques unmindful of the growing fetus. That was a dream very close to her heart “ Prashanth Fertility Research center – When nature falters, we take over ” and she achieved it without much fanfare, the phenomenal success she has shown, has turned the people from various countries to visit India.

In Prashanth Fertility Research center, she dedicated 18 to 20 hours a day to help couple who had been waiting for years to carry their baby. The dream journey has evolved through the time and today it is “Prashanth Fertility Research Center” has become “Prashanth Multispecialty Hospital”.

Thanks and Regards,
Manojj
