Welcome Tawny! I'm glad you will be joining us and I look forward to getting to know you girl! So I'm gathering you'll have retrieval around Thanksgiving and freeze embies for a FET in the new year?

Patricia- I'm getting excited but feeling a little overwhelmed with the meds right now. It's been two years since my first IVF so I'm a bit out of routine. Have a calender posted in my pantry but I have this fear that I'll forget something along the way...It's an overwhelming sense of responsibility especially when there is a trip planned to travel back home for the upcoming weekend. Nothing like getting somewhere and remembering you left the vial in the refrigerator oh that sounds so much like something I would do, lol too paranoid I guess and dh laughs when he sees my list so I don't forget anything. Oh well he'll have to get over that I'm forgetful but so busy it's easy to miss something. I hope you are doing ok, I think of you quite often and appreciate your support very much. X

Sorry I've been MIA for soooo long girls. I often would read the updates on my phone and have been trying to get a chance to post. First personals, then my update :)

Sunshine1576 Pocos, Ninde - Best of luck for your current cycles!!!! Praying for all of you that you get your BFP and it is your turn!

Tawny - Good luck and welcome to the forum. It really is a great knowledgable group fo people here!

Christy - never had plastic vials either. Not sure why they were never talked about as it seems like a good idea.

WeHaveHope - Twins look beautiful! Congrats!

Leora - I've been following you for soooo long and am so glad that your pregnancy is going well! You are often in my thoughts!

AFM: Well, Im 27 weeks today. My little boy is really starting to kick and move around in there :) Just finished the gestational diabetes test and all is perfect :) Next checkup is Tuesday next week. It is nice to finally feel him moving as it really puts my mind at ease, even if its only a few times a day :)

Patricia- I'm so happy to have someone on this forum that was on the last one. I hope we get better results this time around.

sunshine- Yeah we are looking at ER 11/24 or 11/25 and then ET that following weekend. In Aug my first IVF everything was perfect, besides I stimulated well but took a while to grow. They recovered 9 eggs transfered 2 we did not freeze for financial reasons. I had a grade 4 and 3 almost 4 both with 8 cells. He has no clue what went wrong. He's tweeking my meds for the growth and he's not charging us to freeze he's confident if he freezes we can make this round a BFP. I love this doc!!! So hopefully there wont be a FET for the new year.

Hopethisworks- I was so blessed last round with the support and knowlege of the girls on this forum. I don't think I'd go another round without help on here.

Ninde - Thank you, my husband and I have been listening to the tracks you sent me everyday (except when I am driving LOL), that has been so helpful!

Kynlee - Thank you, please continue to keep us in your prayers.

Sunshine - I will be probably starting the Gonal f Oct 13, and later I will be adding Luveris. The retrieval should be in the last week of October if everything goes well. The lupron cycle worked better for me than the ganirelix cycle. I had better quality but less eggs. With the ganirelix protocol, I had great quantity but poor quality. When you had your first IVF, what protocol did you use?

Pocos- We have our RE scheduled for around the same time, so we'll be there for one another through the 2ww. :D I'm anxious but excited all at once but I need to find some downtime and some distractions with fun hobbies, work is making it all fly by way too fast right now. We start Lupron in 2 days...
A little background...In October 2010 we did a long lupron cycle for my very first IVF and had 13 eggs, w/ 8 to fertilize and actually 2 that made it to transfer. I wish I had known more back then and asked more questions to elaborate why the others weren't frozen maybe it was a quality issue? On the morning of the transfer we were so excited to find out about the second one making it at the LAST second we had everything fixated that this would be our lucky cycle, little did I know IVF is not 100% guaranteed on the 1st try. I'm still perplexed about the success rate increasing with each attempt but we only know our chances have to be better then not trying at all.

Kynlee- Thanks girl, wonderful how we can always count on you to be there for us! xx You must be getting so excited for your upcoming gender revealing party? I love your idea with the invitation makes it feel like a very special event, well it is!! I wish I lived closer to RI maybe someday we all can meet!

Patricia- I'm thinking of you this week and remembering your birthday on October 5th. I wish you a year full of new hope, your heart's desire with much contentment. XX

Julia- Don't make me get fussy, this board couldn't possibly make anyone feel almost sad, that isn't possible! Yep maria's thread ran for 500 pages and it could still make it if one wanted to keep chatting with over there. :D We all thank you for the support, the encouragement and the many countless nights of prayers. Sometimes not always other ladies "graduate" to the PAT board and you never hear from them again and you're left out there either to sink or swim. So you know we appreciate the ones who come back and check in even if it's just every now and then.x

HopeThisWorks- That's wonderful news, I'm glad your son is doing well and it won't be much longer until you're in the final trimester...How exciting! Any names picked out for your little guy?

Tonya- Sounds like you're saying he freezing them and then transfering on the following weekend so everything will happen within the same cycle. How is he successful in this procedure, it sounds very interesting and I'd like to hear more. When we hear how other's protocals are set up it gives us so much insight and maybe ideas to share with our own RE.

AFM: Had a rough last couple of days...my boss has officially set a date for my pg coworker's baby shower. I told my boss that I stayed awake last night up until 3am trying to figure out how I could get out of attending it. Of course she wouldn't see it my way said I would regret it if I didn't come with everyone else. I told her I have set boundaries and those boundaries is how I keep my personal feelings from showing at work, so far I think I've done a pretty good job in handling this professionally. She said it's a baby shower it's just something everyone does and everyone goes to. I said but you don't understand I want to keep this all simple, even if I hopefully get pregnant someday I don't want all the attention, I don't want the shower from work because we did all of this by ourselves and I know how it makes other's feel. I mean why place ourselves in an uncomfortable setting when we don't have to be? and if you remember I didn't attend my last coworker's shower from my former job but she was ok and no I don't regret it. My best friend in Alabama and I chatted tonight and she had me laughing said she has a baby gift for a girl in her attic she never gave someone from church.... it's all wrapped up and said she would send it to me and I could just give it to her and never have to know what's inside or better yet go out a pick out something from her registry, I know that's wrong I am totally wrong for thinking this way but why should we place ourselves in these situations, attending baby showers should only be by choice! Oh and by the way, my boss is planning her shower at the Olive Garden on a Sunday evening after we all spend a day on floor moves that start that morning at 5am. I'm thinking I need to talk some sense into her!

I posted on the old thread before I saw this one. I'll see if I can copy it over here.

Sunshine, your boss is clueless. She doesn't get to decide if you attend or not. You can gracefully bow out and maybe leave a card or something. She should respect your wishes and boundaries.

Here is my post from the other board.

Sorry I've been mia. I've been exhausted. We traveled this weekend for mil birthday. We had a very nice trip to Vancouver. We went for a long walk on the beach Saturday evening and got to see the full moon rise. Sunday morning we went for a run along the sea wall downtown and that was great too. Work has been intense and I have been working late.

We met with the RE today to talk about next steps. Dh wants to move right into the FET which is fine but we have to talk about the money. We used up benefits and have to pay $8500 for this past cycle and then $4000 up front for the FET. Bleh. Dr didn't have much to say about it all. We did some blood work to see if anything pops up that would cause losses.

Ninde, I have not been on Copaxone but could if I wanted. Because it is daily, I wouldn't need a wash out period for cycling. All of the other meds are off limits until we are done with ivf. I did avonex and that totally sucked. I felt awful and became suicidal. Tysabri was great but had to stop and have a 3 month wash out prior to cycling. I'll go back on something once this is all over. For now I just try to deal.

Sunshine, your coworker is in for quite a shock. I'm glad she still came to work even though she went out. That's a positive step.

Nicole I posted on the other thread for you and am on my phone which is refusing to let me copy!!

Pocos: glad tracks are working :)

Wehavehope: 27 weeks - wow!!

Tawny: I was on the 2012 thread since Aug 2011 (it was called something else before that!) before I joined the Aug thread and it has been a wonderful support. How are you feeling about cycling?

Kyle: how are you?

Sunshine: you arnt wrong to think as you are!! Why is your bliss so insistent on throwing this shows? You might be close with coworkers but I thought baby shores were organised by friends. From a professional perspective it also sends mixed messages to your co worker has performance issues. But don't .br bullied into this. And don't worry about being reasonable. Do what's right for you x

Afm : tough day, it's the anniversary of my miscarriage last year. It was 2 days before my 40th birthday. I'm really sad today. It will pass but I'll try and stay with it today

Patricia- Ugh gettting through these anniveraries are the hardest, I wish we knew what the future really held. I know it doesn't take away the pain, the agony....we hold onto that little one with all our hearts. Take all the time you need just remember you have us here and so much support along the way.

One of my friends posted this yesterday I wanted to share with you ladies: "Life is a series of seasons. Sometimes we're high on the mountain & everything is working for us. Sometimes we're down in the valley facing trials, hardships & challenges. Sometimes we're in the plains where everything seems stagnant & motionless. We can't fast-forward, rewind, (or sometimes at the moment) even understand the reasons..but no season shall last for a lifetime. Start now to prepare for the next season. "Weeping may last for a night but joy comes in the morning." Ps 30:5

Yay! A new thread!! :)

Sunshine - My lupron also comes in a vial in a bottle. The vial comes out though. Mine supposedly is coming like that because the pharmacy is mixing it themselves due to some shortage of the pre-packaged stuff. The foil cap needs to be peeled back to reveal the normal rubber top. I hear you on worrying you will forget. Honestly, I got a cosmetics bag and started carrying everything but the refrigerated stuff around with me EVERYWHERE, including needles and alcohol swabs! Sounds nuts, but that was the only way I felt comfortable that I would never find myself in a situation where I could miss a shot or medication. It was such a relief to feel like I didn't have to rush home. IVF is stressful enough!

Tawny - Glad to see you are trying again! Seems like we are going to be starting BCP around the same time, but I am doing a FET.

AFM - I am supposed to be starting BCP whenever AF decides to show up... Should be today if I stay on schedule, but who knows. It never seems to start when you want it to!

Tawny – Welcome! I really hope this season will bring us our BFPs. May I ask you why you will be freezing your embryos? You are not going to do a fresh transfer?

Sunshine – Wow so you start Lupron tomorrow! I had a total of 6 embryos in my last cycle, I transferred the best 2 on day 3 and none of the other ones could be frozen due to quality issues. So that’s probably why the other embryos you had could not be frozen. My first clinic freezes anything (even bad quality) but it’s a waste of money, because most of them die or get damaged when they thaw them to do a FET. That happened to me, we lost $7,000 for the FET and $2,000 for the freezing. The clinic I am at now will only freeze good quality blasts, so at least we wont be wasting money. I am so sorry you are dealing with baby shower drama. Other people simply don’t understand how painful it can be for us. I am lucky I am the only female at my work, there was another female here before but she left. Sometimes they have baby showers at church but I don’t go. I buy a gift but don’t attend, I just tell them a white lie like I wasn’t feeling ok, I had the flu, whatever.

Nicole – When are you thinking of doing a FET? Wow these things are so expensive. I really hope you can do it soon and get your BFP.

Ninde – I am so sorry ☹ You are right, it will pass. Tomorrow is another day and you will be fine. Thinking of you.

Pocos: I dont think I'll be fine tomorrow to be honest but thank you

Wondercat: hello :-)

Nicole: thats a hell of a lot of money. Had you many frosties? Yes ken did avonex in his fist year of diagnosis because he reacted badly to the first interfering and developed awful urticaria but with the avonex he was back in remission within a month it just didn't work fir him. He has been on rebif and one other that I can't remember but copaxone has kept him the most stable. I've heard good things about tsabri too. How are your migraine?

Christy: that's beautiful
