Franny - - if its twins of course you get one, haha. I'm not really kidding though.. I'm only 2dp5dt and so far not crazy, but we know that will kick in soon. Theres no way I could wait 12 whole days for my beta!! Are they serious?? Plus it will absolutely drive me up the wall knowing that at 1st beta, 10dp5dt - that THEY know and WONT tell me!! Arrgghh! That may be fine for a newbies, but for the love of! this is attempt number 12! Do they think I'm not an expert at handling bad news yet? and, oh yes, I'll be POASing, but I'm not sure when yet, I really want to hold out as long as I can, because we know those things usually hate me..

Gi - - How did J. take your news?? I need details, haha.. I hope that you're feeling ok and no m/s, hurry up next scan please!!! - xoxo

Katie -- YEY on being PUPO and being back with your family. the whole wait for 2nd beta before 1st beta results are given drives me crazy. Really how often does it happen that someone gets a 0 on day 13/14 or later and still go on to have a BFP. I can see if your doing HPT but this is blood, it doesn't lie. And why not tell us the results? It all drives me insane. I did not make my nurse happy when i wrote STAT on my first beta test. She said.. it is not our protocol to have the first test STAT because we don't give first results till the 2nd beta is in.. blah blah blah.. I was like who cares.. just give me my results. like I haven't BTDT and million times. Hopefully your nurse will take pity on you and give you the first test results early. In the mean time don't drive yourself crazy.. Only 9 more days to go.. Do you have any plans to keep you busy?

GI - Congrats on your 3 little heartbeats.. I think i would have fainted seeing all of those. FX'd that all goes well and you can deliver happy and healthy babies. I do know a gal that went to 38 weeks with trips.. so it can happen.

Franny - So glad to see you are still checking in. by what you post on FB.. looks like you are having lots of fun.

Ack, Chris - I'm with you.. I see no reason to put me through that either. If I was new and clueless, then it would make more sense. And I'm still a little pissy over what happened last time with this nurse and my beta.. I emailed her and tried to put it in a funny way that I was losing my mind and to please tell me the 1st beta - she mails me back to be "cautiously optimistic" without any number.. soooo, I spend the next two days seeing stark white FRERS, but still holding on, you know? well after I finally got her on the phone for the 2nd beta, it was 0, so I asked her what the first one was - and it was 0 also. WHY do that to us?? if its 0 at 10p5dt - its a negative, ugh! So frustrating! I feel pretty ok, probably lifting Ryan too much, but what can you do? I dont even read into symtoms anymore because I've been crampy for both bfn & bfp attempts. I'm thinking I'll be able to hold out until Friday for POASing, that will be 7dp5dt - and it better give me the right answer, lol. I swear I hate such a love / hate relationship with those darn sticks..

I can't believe your nurse said to be cautiously hopeful or anything close to that. I would have been irate when she called me with the 2nd and then found out the 1st was negative. That is just plain mean. Like i mentioned before i would really like to know how many people got 0 on day 15 and still went on to have a healthy pregnancy. I am right with you on the love/hate relationship on POAS.. It draws me in because of the slight chance it could be positive.. then when its negative I am down for the rest of the day. doesn't even matter what day i test on.. Last cycle i tested on 4dt5dt and i knew it would be negative but seeing the negative still brought me down. Day 10 i was out of town with no pee sticks.. on day 11 I got home around 6pm and POAS and it was negative.. i was so pissed off. then about 30 minutes later i dug the stick out of the trash because i am crazy like that.. and i saw a really really really faint line.. and as we know next day beta was a big 5. those sticks are evil but we still can't live without them.

Katie i too cant believe they told you cautiously optimisitic with a negative beta how nasty!!!! Oh i am with you on not analysing symptoms like seriously i had and still have AF cramps (prob. crinone) and no sore boobs at all even with 3 babies!!! Nausua didnt start till about 6 wks so seriously dont analyise anything, i know those damn sticks are so evil but i can never help myself though i was in shock to see a faint line at 6dp3dt (got definate neg at 5 days) i had a sneaky feeling more than one was cooking!!! Details of my scan!! ha i think i am still in shock..... had an emerg appt due to bleed and poor jason waited with me for 2.5 hrs but due to work had to leave, i told him i was fine i assumed it was all over...i went in and she said she got beta results and something must still be there as it shot from 1976 at 17dpo to 40,000 at 22po so there i was lying back looking at screen..felt bit relief that i could see 2 sacs and doc said "do you know how many is there" i was like hmm looks like 2 she goes no theres 3!! It felt so sureal i didnt say anything just stared at screen like it was happening to someone else. She found fetal poles and yolks straight away, all looked healthy and she kept going wow its a long time since i saw 3 embryos implanted (this was just my ordinary hosptial not ivf clinic). I rang jason and told him to sit down, he was so quiet on phone and goes "oh" thats great and hangs up!!! minute later rings me and goes 3 we are having 3!!! it was funny jason isnt usually lost for words. Anyway we decided to wait till hb scan to think about things but like seriously even though we have 3 heartbeats we are just gonna wait again till 11wks before even discussing anything (by that i mean money, cars, all that stuff) its such a high risk pregnancy but if i can get to 11 wks maybe it will feel real about possibility of having 3 babies. I am taking things real easy, thankfully Kayla is such an independant child and never asks to be picked up or carried only to lift her out of cot, she keeps me busy but i try to play games like making play dough, colouring in that involve sitting and shes quiet content. My mam as usual is brilliant and will help me lots if i need to go on bedrest. I am already showing having a little bump even though i still weigh the same though i am trying to eat more but for once in my life cant put on weight, i only weigh 108 pounds God knows how i am going carry 3 ha ha put by God i will try!!!! Best of luck chick all my fingers and toes are crossed for you.

Chris hows your pregnancy going???? Hows jake doing??

Ah, yes Gina I have.. on days 6,7,8 and today 9dp5dt - all negative. I'm sinking fast. I'm supposed to go for my 1st beta in the morning ( but they wont give me results til 2nd beta on Wed) And being that NY is getting ready for what they're calling a monsterstorm, when NYC closes, schools, trains and bus service you know its big. Chris still has to go into nyc for work tomorrow, and I cant see driving in a hurricane with Ryan ( who's sick right now) just for a blood draw thats likely to not get tested ( if they are even open tomorrow) I'll go tues or wed depending on what this storm is doing, they're predicting widespread power outages. Doesnt this sound like fun? I get to be home alone with an ill toddler who's chest sounds awful during a hurricane and still I'm worrying about this darn beta result. I must be mad. We spent the day at Urgent Care to be told that even though Ryan's chest / cough has that awful wet sound, that his lungs sound clear and to bring him back if it hasnt cleared up in 3-4 days. My poor big guy. This is only his 2nd illness and he'll turn 2 next Sat, so I'm not used to him being sick and feel helpless. At least now we know its just a nasty cold, wish it didnt take 4 hrs to hear that from the Dr though, lol. I dont know what to think about the darn sticks.. I want soooo badly to believe that its just a late implanter, but all my crampiness is gone, that full feeling in my abdomen is gone and I'm tearing up at the thought that its over.. I have to end now, I refuse to get teary again. I guess I havent given up entirely, I mean I know ONLY blood is the final answer, but boy is it getting harder to keep the faith you know? Thanks for posting the story of your u/s, I'm sorry I didnt get a chance to post after reading it, but I am so happy for you mama!!!! much love- xoxoxo
