Benefits of Artificial Insemination

Postby Arose2017 » Fri Jul 28, 2017 6:47 am

Hi members
It is true that artificial insemination played a key role in animal fertilization the 20th century. In the 21st Century, IUI has found itself in hospitals and is considered an effective treatment for infertility in women. However, there are new trends which shows that women who were thought to be infertile start giving birth normally after benefiting from IUI services. I already know more than three families who were unable to have children but started reproducing normally after IUI. I have been researching on this topic not for examination purpose but just to bolster my understanding of the topic. I have come across interesting write-ups and ideas from many websites such as biotexcom.com, infertility.com among others. Because of this, I would like anyone who is more knowledgeable in this area to shed some light on these facts:
1. Infertility could be caused blocked fallopian tube so when IUI is used it unblocks the tubes and allows the woman to conceive a second time without undergoing IUI.
2. That women should resort to IUI when the cause of infertility is unknown.
I welcome your suggestions and contributions

I don't think only IUI would be sufficient in the case of blocked tubes. For sperms to reach eggs as well as the implantation it's essential that their passage through the fallopian tube is clear. IUI can help if one of your tubes doesn't work as it still leaves chances that the free flow of egg, sperm or blastocyst won't be blocked up completely. And you can always count on your single working ovary with a little assistance from the RE. However, for blocked tubes, the eggs have to be procured from the surface of ovaries or infundibulum area which can be medically implanted in the uterus after IVF. I don't see an alternative to IUI as the first line of action in assisted fertility when the cause of infertility cannot be diagnosed (Unknown). Without an underlying reason, there are very high chances that IUI will somewhat push down the need that complex process that needs to be tick-tocking in a synergy. Kind of giving the sperms a benefit of easy entry and hassle-free passage.
