The cost is not an issue

Postby Alyssa562 » Sun Dec 17, 2017 9:52 am

Hi everyone. I have a quick question. I have been looking through these forums for quite a while now. From what I have judged, surrogacy and IVF seem to be the most popular choices. IUI is also common, however, I haven't heard many success stories of that. I consulted doctors for both. They both think I'm eligible for the programs. So, now I'm at a bit of a crossroads. I can't decide which one t go for. So, I just want to conduct a sort of a poll. Just tell me which option you think is better. I'd prefer personal experiences. The cost is not an issue. I want to base my decision on the success rate. Thank you for your inputs.

It depends on yr issues. If you can't conceives cos of these, then I would advise to consider IVF. If you have a few failed IVF-s, and/or IVF DE doesn't work for you, then I would consider surrogacy.

Surrogacy has two meanings. Classic surrogacy is just an IUI cycle in a woman who provides both egg and uterus. Success rates are low, costs are high, and this is frought with legal nightmares. In some cases, the women kept the babies, and in at least one case, she sued the parents for child support payments and won.

The other meaning of surrogacy is an IVF cycle in a gestational carrier who does not provide the eggs. This is the most expensive option, by far. It has high success rates if a young egg source, such as a donor, is used. In the USA, these cycles can cost more than $100k, and the live birth rate can be 60 - 75% with a single transferred blastocyst at a good center. With two embryos, the success rate is a little higher, perhaps 80%, but the risk of twins rises dramatically.

IUI cycles are cheap, but have low success rates. Some doctors do not recommend IUI because, although cheaper than IVF per cycle, they are more expensive per birth. That may depend on individual clinic success rates and pricing.

IVF using your own eggs has success rates that vary considerably, depending heavily on your age and ovarian reserve, but also on your treatment protocol.
Avoid IVF and surrogacy in Ukraine. Ukrainian centers pay shills to post here under numerous sock accounts pretending to be patients in Ukraine. Centers using such deceptive advertising cannot be trusted and should be avoided.

Hii dear,
There are a number of options to treat infertility like IVF & IVF with egg donation, IUI, surrogacy etc.If you want, you can get IVF because one of my friends had conceived through the IVF, the success rate of IVF is higher as compared to IUI.For this, you can consult with a specialist they can tell you which treatment will be suitable for you.Sometimes IVF doesn't work because every woman has different health conditions. If it doesn't work then you can go for Surrogacy. In this process, a surrogate mother will give birth to your child. Its depend on you and your health condition, which treatment will be beneficial for you.If you are ready for it, go for it. Hope you find this helpful.

Sia - agreed up to the point. If a woman experiences failed IVF-s, then a doc should dig deeper and find out more about the reasons. It might happen that the reason is not proper stimulation or genetics issues (then combine IVF with PGS NGS). In case the quality of eggs is the issue, then a woman might consider undergoing IVF with donor eggs. Sometimes, surrogacy is the best option that saves time and money.

Avoid IVF and sorrogacy in Ukraine. Clinics there hire shills to post on this site under sock accounts posing as patients. Avoid any centers that advertise deceptively.

Hello OP! I underwent IVF treatment. I used donor eggs. I'll try to answer your questions, basing on my own experience. Price for IVF depends on so many things. First of all where do you live? It would be easier to give advice, knowing where you located. If you're planning to go abroad, you should consider ticket expenses, housing, food, etc. Second of all is your friend going to use an agency or a clinic(without intermediaries)? Agencies take fees, which sometimes can be pretty high. Third of all - anonymous or non-anonymous donor? Fresh or frozen eggs? There are many questions which make it hard to say the exact price. Personally we used a clinic and we went abroad. We used anonymous donor, fresh eggs. Our clinic provided us with apartment, food supply and transportation. We spent approximately $8000 plus tickets. This is the price for 2 attempts of ivf. So if your friend needs only 1 attempt, it will cost even less.

IVF can be done if you have certain health conditions. So a clinic will ask you for your medical history. Speaking about pros and cons, the ultimate advantage of IVF is achieving a successful pregnancy and a healthy baby. The disadvantage is probably that the success of IVF is not guaranteed and women sometimes have to undergo more than one cycle of treatment before they are successful. Well I should say I see only pros in this treatment. I've got pregnant from the first try. Though we went abroad, we still saved some money. I want to say that going abroad to have IVF(with donor eggs in my case) doesn't mean you will have to spend more.

If you cannot get pregnant then surrogacy is the best option for you. Moreover IT, number of options are available there like IVF, ICS, IUI, Donor eggs with IVF. It depends on you and your health condition which one is better for you. No clinic gives the guarantee of the success in first attempt. But don’t get stress, Number of clinics are available there that are providing the reproductive treatments in the packages. If you want i can suggest you biotexcom because i have also get the IVF from this clinic which was successful. I have blocked my fallopian tubes and doctor told me that IVF is the best option for you. I have got it with an economical package in which includes all expenses of complete process. Sometimes women have to go through the more than one attempt. In this package includes the more than one attempts until i got the success. I was very nervous at the start of process. With the grace of God, support of husband and my clinic i got the positive results. I have blessed with a cute and healthy child that completes my family. That was the glorious moment for us when I took my child in my hands. The success of IVF depends upon the number of factor like quality of eggs, your fertile health, your age. Moreover it, Surrogacy is also a good option. If you want you can also go for it.Be prepare physically, mentally and emotionally before going for any treatment. Hope you get the fruitful results. Good luck.
