pcos and metformin

Postby shelley dekeyser » Wed Feb 02, 2005 7:14 pm

:D Hi my name is Shelley, I was diagnosed with pcos about 2 years ago. I was on clomid for about five or so months. I was ovulating but I had alot of cysts. So my doctor put me on metformin. When I start my next cycle I have to go back on clomid as well. Does anyone know if it helps to take your metformin the same times everyday? any other advice would be great.

Hi Shelley - Welcome to the site :D You've found a wealth of information and experience here !

You would be better posting your question again on the General forum - which is the forum that most folk read.

There are quite a few girls with pcos, so hopefully someone will be able to answer your questions ..

Hi Shelley,

Welcome to the site.

I too have PCOS and took Metformin as part of my fertility treatment. I took the Metformin three times a day. I don't think it matters too much about taking it at exactly the same time. I just took it at meal times.
