Hi Andy, promised to keep an eye on you didn't I?

When are you having your op? Let me now to send you lots of PMA. Meanwhile here goes: PMA!!

Have you tried valerian? it's a natural herbal product that helps you relax and sleep at night. so much better that artificial drugs...

Anyway, thanks for the support. We're not sure what to do next and i have to be honest, i'm serously considering DI but really concerned about dh. we have postponed any decisions for now since he's finishing his Phd and there are complicated decisions to be made. part of me is glad we postponed it but i really fear the time we'll have to sit down and discuss it.

meanwhile i'm spending my time between teaching, preparing my master's thesis and posting - btw this is my 50th post in 15 days!

i have to be busy or the waiting will become really unbearable!

Let me know when your op's up! Everything will be fine! And in some years, when you're holding your grandchildren, all this will be worth it!

Love
Rita

Dear Rita,

I can toitaly relate to traying to stay busy, so that you get some time off of all your emotions and thoughts just racing through your head, some positive some negative and it's exhausting to just trying to keep up with your own head.

I have to say this site, and talking to you, have given me so much more positive attetitude to face my "stelirity" which will be final next Wed. at about 8.30 am. I am not scared anymore, since I need to do whatever is there for me to, to not give up...Since giving up is the alternative and I am not a quiter, and so are not any of the women sharing their stories on this site, such as you.

Are you scared you husband will decide against DI (is that donor insemination???) and so far you still have hope? Does he want a child as much as you do? That's where I am "glad" we both are an IVF case, me and my husband. His sperm is lower on all counts but still ok, just less in motility, and count. I thank God, I don't have to wonder how better off he would be with a different "healthy" wife. It must be hard on your husband, but I feel you and your devotion will get you both through it, and the same when you hold your grandchildren the biological aspect will not even be a THOUGHT... :-)

What is PMA? I am something nice, since I had a MUCH better day yesterday. I felt like was wanking on a street of life, and all of a sudden I found out that I will no longer find my happiness on that path, and I stopped, tried to look around for alternative paths, but people kept bumping into me making me to MOVE since I was in their WAy, and then all of a sudden I saw a shop, which I would have never notice having not have to stop... So I got there, hit a lot, but made it through, and there you were, all just sitting around a big table, reading books, drinking , coffee, talking and hoping... I got my brake, so much needed brake... I have to go back out there, but I know where to come back for "a brake"...

I am getting too phylosophical...Talk to you soon,

Thanks you for even half an eye :-)

Dear Andrea

You should check a thread in the general forum - it's hot some of the most common abreviations and yes, DI is donor insemination and PMA is positive mental attitude, sthing i've found to be very important from these agains. Apparently LittleP's PMA is very strong around these parts :D !

Yesterday a frind of mine just learned she has blicked ovaries - apparently because she had been on the pill for a very long time and he thinks she will have problems to get pg (pregnant). I was listening to her and seeing all the signs - she doesn't want to talk about it very much, she doesn't want to face it, she's trying to ignore it but she won't be able to do that. I just wanted to tell her that it's ok, she should let it all out but she wouldn't listen to me. so i'll just be around and when she's ready, i'll be there. somehow i just want to protect her from all the pain but i know it just isn't possible.

Love your philosophical ending! ths't pretty much how i feel too! :D

I'll be seeing you. Take good care.

Andy

Just so you know - on the General Forum the very first thread is a comprehensive list of the abbreviations used on this site. You never know you might find it useful.

PMA

Thank you little P.

You are wonderful and I enjoy you making sure people are welcomed to the site, and when they need some quidence, you are there for them.

how are things for you?

I have 2 nights before my operation and part of me wants it over and part of me is still waiting for some miracle where I wake up and it was all just a "bad" dream... but not this time.

Hi Rita,

You are being a wonderful friend, since it hurts watching someone go through a painful experience or watch them postpone the suffering, but we cope on our own terms... My best friend is here in states which I feel so blessed about, and we juyst comtinue SHARE our lives together, we don;t explain, tell, or conclude our experiences, we share them, and I believe that is the best thing you can do for another person, Let them take all the time they need to be "ready" and face the live only they can truly face.

Hope you are staying busy and strong.

Andrea

Just think when the operation is over - you can move on, that's a positive step forward which will help :!:

I am feeling fine, thank you for asking - just waiting for things to get going. I do know one thing that once it all starts, it will move very quickly so I am trying to make the most of this time beforehand :D

Try to stay full of PMA and look after yourself. You kow where we are when you need some support or encouragement. Just relax as much as you can and let us know how you are getting along :)

Dearest Rita,

Thank you for remembering, you make me belive in people again. As painful as this situation is, it made me realize how much of a difference people make. In a good and bad way. I am amazed how communication is so essential in our lives, and it keeps uz going. Support comes from all different angles, all different forms. And you are definately one of those unexpected forms, and wonderful angles. Thank you.

I am very scared of tomorrow, and I am having hard time eating... and I am already pretty thin. How do you keep living healthy? When my stomach hurts as soon as I think of tomorrow, and I am so worried the doctor will tell us after the operation, we need to wait ANOTHER couple months of this anxiouty!!!!! Will see. I hope he will not anything more to postpone our next step...

When do you think you might start your DI ?

Thanks again,

Andrea

Oh honey, don't do that! Wish I could be there to hug you... You'll be fine, you wait and see. You seem to have a wonderful doctor, you're being taken care of so be positive!

Waiting sucks, yes, but it's sthing we all have had to ge used to. Nature takes time and so do we. Concentrate in getting well after the op and live one day at a time. I know, easier said than done, but we have to try. Let me know all about it then!

Keeping fingers crossed. Don't worry! We'll be here for you!

Love
