2 failed ivfs. feel too bad

Postby jessie » Thu Apr 28, 2005 12:01 am

i am 33 yrs old. just finished my second ivf cycle, last wk, the docter ringed me and said he sure the embryo was implanted. but four days later, i started to bleeding. after second blood test, docter told me that my pregency level went down a lot. it was stopped. i played tennis about an hour on the day of i started bleeding. i can't stop to blame myself for my careless. can't believe such a big hope has gone! shall i go ahead for the third cycle? i am afraid i won't get baby forever.

Hi Jessie

Firstly welcome to this site - you will find it is very helpful and the girls full of support and encouragement.

Please don't feel guilty - it really isn't your fault :!:

What I would urge you to do is post on the General Forum as well as you will be more likely to get more replies.

Take care of yourself and try and stay strong.

Hi Jessie .. Welcome to the site, and glad you found us. We all blame ourselves when cycles don't work out. It seems like you are able to become pregnant, so this suggests that a 3rd cycle could be successful ?

Why don't you give your body time to recover from the ordeal it's been through, then think about the possibility of cycling again. You've been through 2 cycles now, so you know just how tiring they are. Also, a lot of clinics seem to recommend waiting between cycles - 2 or 3 AFs (periods).

Good luck !

Hi Jessie

For what is worth, one of the ladies who got pg after tmt last month shuvled snow while on the 2www, so i don't think you playing had anything to do with it...

Does blaming yourself solve anything? It certainly doesn't make you feel any better and it won't change anything. There are lots of women here who kept trying after failure and they made it so why can't you?

Be sure to take your time and grieve your loss. And when you feel like it follow LittleP's advice, come join us on the general board.

Here's a huge hug going our way
