I'm feeling so disapointed..

My husband and i went for our first TVS after injecting Buserelin for the past three weeks or so. I was feeling really optimistic about starting Gonal-F... We went in and the nurse told me that i had three folicles and a cyst. This means that my treatment is now in limbo. I won't be able to start again until after xmas. We have been waiting for so long already!
I guess i just feel really down for both my husbnd and i. i never thought that this would happen.I know..maybe i was a little naive.
The nurse said that she is going to call me this afternoon. I'm dreading what she is going to say. My husband is being really supportive but i just feel like it's yet another hurdle..when we have crossed so many already.
I know that i, m not pregnant because we haven't had no sex in the past few weeks.
The hospital didn't start me on the drugs until day 3 of my period, so maybe that's why. Has this happened to anyone else out there? I would really value any feedback right now.
I'm glad i found this forum. It's given me a bit of a release! [/b]

Hi Ebony3, welcome to the site. Sorry you have had a delay to your tmt. This roller coaster ride is full of fits and starts. I too had cysts and tmt delayed. it is frustrating.

Hi Ebony!
sorry you dont feel so good... I know how frustrating it can be to wait... but it may be for the best!

For my first IVF, I started tmt on the 2nd day of my period and(and lasted about 10 days) I did not downregg. My clinic call it a quick tmt. It worked as I had 11 eggies retrieved.

I am changing clinic for my 2nd round (just because I moved, the clinic was good) and the new clinic will go for a "normal" tmt.

Good luck and Take care!

Hi Ebony

Welcome to the Site. Sorry things haven't worked out well so far. I know that so much time and energy is put into a cycle, that it's just not fair for it to be cancelled even before EC.

There are different protocols. Yours sounds like a Flare / Short Protocol, or a Cetrtide Protocol.

I know it seems a long time to wait until after Xmas to start again, but it really is for the best. You need to be sure that all the meds are out of your system before starting another cycle. Otherwise, you could react unpredictably (or even, not at all) to the next cycle of meds.

I'm hoping to cycle in the new year, so we could be cycle buddies.

Good luck !

Hi Sandra.
Thanks for your message. You have said a lot of sense. I guess there is no point pursuing it if my body isn't 100%.
Waiting until after Xmas isn't so bad. I just feel bad for my husband as well. The guilt is so hard sometimes. I really want us to have a child together. My mate rang me the other day to tell me that she is having her third child and she wasn't even trying. She is still smoking as well...which just kills me. But each to their own i guess. I can't bring myself to ring her as i am just so jealous. i know....it sounds bad but i'm only being honest. I'm also getting a bit fed up with people asking me how it's going. I feel like saying..well....it's not like boiling an egg you know. Patience is a virtue and i just need to chill i guess.
It would be great to be your cycle buddy, although i haven't got any fancy animation like you...ha ha. i'll try and learn aye.!!
Well.. i'll let you know what they tell me on Wednesday....but we already know..
Have a lovely weekend. X

Hi Ebony

It's only natural to feel a little jealous when you see it happening around you. My best mate found out she was pregnant, when we'd been trying for a year or 2. She was actually quite horrified, and was even smoking towards the end of the pregnancy. Just not fair is it ..?

Chilling is easier said than done, but it really is the only way. There's so much waiting time in this game, and also reducing stresss levels gives you a better start.

Have a read of Zita West's "Fertility and Conception" - or her new book "Zita West's Guide to Getting Pregant". She's full of useful info and tips.
