I had no idea!!

Hi,
this is my first time here. My cousin told me to have a look she said I would be suprised and boy am I. So much support!!!
I have just had my egg retrieval yesterday (21 Nov) feeling very sore!! Its my third attempt. I have been lucky they retrieved 13 eggs, and 9 have fertilised. My transfer date is set for friday unless the hospital decide to wait for blastocyst stage. So I am just taking it easy and hoping that my lill embies are fighting hard to come back to where they should be and then off course i have the longest two week wait of all.
I wonder if many of you have been advised to take aspirin??? Of my previous two attempts I was never told to do this but this time the docs have told me to take 75mg daily. Is this normal??? Or am I missing something.
It would be great to hear from anyone .

Hi Sulkybern and welcome to this wonderful site!

Glad the egg retrieval went well. Hope those embies hang on tight and that your 2ww flies by :D

Sorry I don't know much about the aspirin thing but you are not the first to ask this question. Maybe one of the wise wise women on the general forum can help?

Lots of advice and support coming your way!!!

Bye for now

Hi Sulkybern

Welcome to the Site. All being well, you'll have had ET today.

Re the Aspirin : Some clinics believe a Baby Aspirin dose is the correct way. They beleive that it thins the blood and makes the uterus more responsive to implantation.

Good luck !!!

HI SUlkybern and welcome!

COngrats for the 9 fertilised! that's great news!!

I did take baby aspirin after my transfer. It should be the right dose as too much aspirin will make your blood too fluid.... (that's why baby aspirin, otherwise it would be too strong...)

Hope it helps
take care
