whey hey, i'm back !! Sorry I've been missing for a while, been busy at work and then with christmas and all that! Technically working from home today  !!

Charity - thank you for your postings on myspace, sorry that i haven't returned the compliment. Your list is starting to look fab and its a great idea especially as we are getting so many more on your thread. Can't believe you only have a week or so to go, you must be so excited!!

Welcome to Mumtojazzie, Sat14, Saxony & hopeful2bpregnant.....charity will look after you well :D and we are so supportive of each other.

Jazzie - Congratulations on the wedding - really hope your day goes well.

Susan (Sat14) - sorry to hear about your BFN, take some time out for your self and I have every believe that 2007 will be your year. Sometimes DH's found this very difficult and hard to show their emotions and I hope that yours will come round soon and take better care of you.

Souris - your little ones look gorgeous, they couldn;t wish for a better step cat mommy. How are things with you ?

As for me, waiting for AF to arrive or not as the case may be in the next week or so. Hubby and I have praying for a small miracle as I'm hoping that the accu may have helped - who knows no harm in wishing eh! Next week (4th Jan) we are going back to the clinic to discuss ICSI as this is what they have recommended for our next round, but it is not our planning session.

We are going on hols on 11Jan and will wait until we get back before we start another cycle.

To make matters more complicated, I have been offered another job which I really want however my company is holding me to a 6mnth notice period - which means I'm likely to lose my new job offer - so angry at them for doing this to me. Can't believe they have this length of notice period in my contract - never heard of anyone else been held to it before... so much for happy holidays

thats my winge for today.....well its looks like DH is about to push me off here - I need to spend a bit more time catching up on the last few pages too....

If I don't manage to get wishing you all Happy New Year and hope that all you dreams come true in 2007 - it will be our year

love & hugs

Hello everyone!

Nimble, sorry to hear about your job situation! They really put you in a bad position. Is there any compromise you can make with them?

Susan(Sat14) I am so sorry to hear about you BFN. I will say a prayer for you.

Hopeful Welcome to our group! I'm glad to be able to share in your journey!

Charity I am so excited that you are starting very soon! Do you already have your meds? Do they come to your house or do you pick them up from a pharmacy? I was wondering how that was going to work. Don't be worried, we will be here for you and so will your RE.

I was looking at the posts about toxoplasmosis, I don't even know if I'm saying the word correctly. I have two cats, is this something I should worry about? Or is it okay as long as I don't clean the litterbox?

Also, have been thinking about accupuncture. I don't know if I should do it or not. I'm not sure if my ins. covers it and its $85 a session. Has this been helpful to anyone? As far as lowering your stress level or helping with preg?

Hi girls, I want to join you in this thread since I might be starting my next cycle on February as well.....
I just finished my first fresh IVF in November, I became pregnant but unfortunately I m/c at 7wks, it was terrible, but I am trying to feel a little better and trying to focus on the next try. The good thing is that we have 4 frosties left, so we'll be doing FET the next time, probably with 2 of those....
I just had the D&C last Friday, my RE said to expect AF in a month and then I would be starting BCP's.......

Well, I hope this is the one for all of us!!!

AJ...If you take the following and paste it where you currently have the URL code, but take out the first space at the very first bracket @ the beginning of the code "[_img]" it should work like a charm...

Afternoon gals!

Jazzie...You asked about the side effects with the injections...Well, they vary so much for everyone, but I think it's pretty common to have abdominal pain, breast pain, enlarged abdomen, back pain, constipation, headache, and ovarian pain. These all vary and usually progress through your stimulation cycle. There's also the risk after EC to develop ovarian hyperstimulation syndrome (OHSS). They don't always tell you this, but this comes after the EC (about three days), and can be very serious, so when your docs office tells you to drink a lot of liquids, to weigh yourself, and to measure your abdomen after the collection, you really should listen to them. The truth is, it's all worth it! So, yes you feel like crap for a few weeks, but it does get better over the next couple of weeks. That is unless you're pg! I really didn't feel too bad until after the collection when my abdomen was pretty tender. Again, nothing unbearable (didn't take any pain meds), but it was tender. Hope I'm not scaring you..? You'll be fine, and we'll be here for you to lean on when you have your not so good days and your great days... :)

Nims...Missing you again, chickie!
So, you're off for holiday on the 11th..? Must be so nice...So what are your big plans? Oh! That's really weird about your job...Six months! How are you supposed to get a job anywhere else unless you give them notice and try to get one towards the end of the 6 months period..? Sounds like it's a good way for them to continue to keep you there...Great motivator in keeping your staff happy..."You're stuck here whether you like it or not"...Great corporate philosophy... Anyway, it's good to see you're still hanging tough, and it sounds like you're doing really good...Busy, but good...You take care my friend...

AJ...I see you're all set with your ticker...Good job! Yes, I did get my meds already...My particular insurance (through my employer) now requires you to go through the "tele-drug" they are affiliated with. You have to order them through them to have them covered up front. I could get them at a pharmacy of my choice, but then I would have to wait to be reimbursed. It would also cost me more and end up taking away from my total IF coverage cap. Only get $25K for lifetime treatment of IF, so have to use those funds wisely...Anyway, they're really great, and they got it to me the next day! Always love getting parcels anyway... :) You asked about the toxoplasmosis (TP)...Anyway, I looked it up and here's what they had to say on the subject...

Reducing Your Risk of Toxoplasmosis

Even though it is unlikely that a woman will contract toxoplasmosis from her cat, it's a good idea to err on the side of caution. The following recommendations will help cat owners expecting a child to reduce their risk of contracting toxoplasmosis.

* Avoid undercooked meat.
* Wash all uncooked vegetables thoroughly.
* Be certain to wash all cutting boards and utensils that may have come in contact with meat before using them to prepare other foods.
* Wear gloves when working in soil. If gloves are not worn, hands need to be washed thoroughly following soil contact.
* Ask a spouse, friend, or neighbor to help out with litter box duties while you're pregnant.
* If you don't have help to keep the litter box clean, wear rubber gloves when changing the litter and thoroughly wash your hands afterwards.
* Change your cat's litter on a daily basis.

Getting rid of your feline companion is NOT a necessary precaution. Cat ownership has many benefits that are immeasurable in terms of companionship and love. While it is possible for cats to transmit toxoplasmosis, the risk of your feline friend passing the disease to you is low, especially if you follow the recommendations above. So, your cat can safely remain as a loved member of the family as you await your new arrival.

Not sure if that helps, but at least I learned a lot after reading the whole article...Always good to have new knowledge. Watch out...I could be dangerous now...

AJ...You also asked about acupuncture...I recently read something about a US study of 114 women undergoing IVF...Of those that had acupuncture 51% became pregnant versus only 36% of those who did not. Now, this is one study, a very small sample size, and these women were never segregated based on their fertility issues, so it may not hold a great deal of weight, but that's just one study. There have been several others. And while they don't necessarily acknowledge if it's acu itself, or the affects on stress levels that is causing the increased success rates, they do say it does show significant positive results time and time again. Whether massage therapy would have the same result, I believe depends on the woman. Which causes her to be more relaxed? Acu or massage therapy? That's my take on it, and I'm sure there are others that have actually experienced it could shed more light, but just thought I'd comment since I was here...

Vicky...I'm sorry for you loss sweetie...Sadly, you are amongst friends in your recent loss. We have a couple other ladies here that have had the same experience recently. I can see you already have your fight back, though, and that's great. That's exactly what your baby needs...A fighter...4 frosties, hah? That's awesome!! Enough for two cycles (or one/two and a couple siblings in a few years)! I wish you all the luck this month, and just know we're going to set a new forum record...All BFP's for everyone!! You're also very welcome for the welcome...Take care, dear, and I'm glad you're gonna be here with us...Sorry you have to be, but since we can't change the past, glad for the future... :)

To the rest of you strangers  I wish you the bestest New Year possible. I'll obviously be around, since I don't have a life right now, but in case any of you aren't able to make it back before then, have a glass of champagne for me!!

Charity thanks for the advice. It's not that dh is not getting any, he just seems very distant. He is quiet to begin with and I am certainly very outspoken. I thought that would balance things out but he seems to be hiding in a cave and I just want to talk, talk, talk... Maybe I should just shut up and try not to dominate the conversation all of the time and let the poor man speak!

vicky- I am so sorry to hear about your loss. I can't imagine how terrible that must be. Be strong, this will be our year. I promise...

To everyone else- Thanks for letting me hang around while I wait for a plan. I think I talk to you guys more than I talk to my friends here at home. Where are you all from anyway?
I see that some of us have our locations posted, but I don't see everyone!
Well, I am here on the very cold north east coast of the US. I moved back here after a two year stay in Australia. I am wishing for some of that hot weather now! I though it was too hot and humid there but now I am wanting some of that sh%# back! Talk to you all soon. Happy New Year

Charity,
Thanks so much for all of that info on TP. It really helped. That seems as good a reason as any for my hubby to take over litter box cleaning for a while!
Well, maybe I will invest the money for accupuncture. Its worth a try at least. I think I may only try IVF once, so I think I'll make the most of it. Also, I'm glad you posted that advice to Jazzie about the injections. I was wondering about that myself! Glad you asked Jazzie!

Hope you all have a great weekend and Happy New Year! Be safe out there. I'm getting bloodwork tomorrow am and then they said I will have a protocol next week. I'm scared and excited...

Hello guys!!

Welcome to all the new girls!!

For TP, I am not immune and did not wanted to take a chance so I left my cat at my mum. But Pregnant or not on my next cycle I will take her back because she is too unhappy there.
Adjecker, will Dh clean the litter box? I dont think mine will ever will, even with such a good reason!!

Vicky, I was told to expect my period 4 to 6 weeks after D&C. And I started just 30 days after D&C, just like a normal AF cycle. ALthough it was very very light (used only panty liners) the doc said that i could start a new cycle next month!!I dont have any frosties, so Have to do a whole new cycle...

The only condition is that my prolactin levels needs to be back to normal, because I had milk. I went for my blood yesterday and I will get the result tomorrow! please pray for me that it will be ok!
Then I need to book my plane back to france! I am getting really excited now!

Nimble, it could be a xmas miracle !!
it sucks for your job... cant you negotiate a shorter notice with you current employer??

Ok, got ot run, taking the kids to cinema

love to all
