The cost is not an issue

Postby Alyssa562 » Sun Dec 17, 2017 9:52 am

Hi everyone. I have a quick question. I have been looking through these forums for quite a while now. From what I have judged, surrogacy and IVF seem to be the most popular choices. IUI is also common, however, I haven't heard many success stories of that. I consulted doctors for both. They both think I'm eligible for the programs. So, now I'm at a bit of a crossroads. I can't decide which one t go for. So, I just want to conduct a sort of a poll. Just tell me which option you think is better. I'd prefer personal experiences. The cost is not an issue. I want to base my decision on the success rate. Thank you for your inputs.

It depends on yr issues. If you can't conceives cos of these, then I would advise to consider IVF. If you have a few failed IVF-s, and/or IVF DE doesn't work for you, then I would consider surrogacy.

Surrogacy has two meanings. Classic surrogacy is just an IUI cycle in a woman who provides both egg and uterus. Success rates are low, costs are high, and this is frought with legal nightmares. In some cases, the women kept the babies, and in at least one case, she sued the parents for child support payments and won.

The other meaning of surrogacy is an IVF cycle in a gestational carrier who does not provide the eggs. This is the most expensive option, by far. It has high success rates if a young egg source, such as a donor, is used. In the USA, these cycles can cost more than $100k, and the live birth rate can be 60 - 75% with a single transferred blastocyst at a good center. With two embryos, the success rate is a little higher, perhaps 80%, but the risk of twins rises dramatically.

IUI cycles are cheap, but have low success rates. Some doctors do not recommend IUI because, although cheaper than IVF per cycle, they are more expensive per birth. That may depend on individual clinic success rates and pricing.

IVF using your own eggs has success rates that vary considerably, depending heavily on your age and ovarian reserve, but also on your treatment protocol.
Avoid IVF and surrogacy in Ukraine. Ukrainian centers pay shills to post here under numerous sock accounts pretending to be patients in Ukraine. Centers using such deceptive advertising cannot be trusted and should be avoided.

Hii dear,
There are a number of options to treat infertility like IVF & IVF with egg donation, IUI, surrogacy etc.If you want, you can get IVF because one of my friends had conceived through the IVF, the success rate of IVF is higher as compared to IUI.For this, you can consult with a specialist they can tell you which treatment will be suitable for you.Sometimes IVF doesn't work because every woman has different health conditions. If it doesn't work then you can go for Surrogacy. In this process, a surrogate mother will give birth to your child. Its depend on you and your health condition, which treatment will be beneficial for you.If you are ready for it, go for it. Hope you find this helpful.

Sia - agreed up to the point. If a woman experiences failed IVF-s, then a doc should dig deeper and find out more about the reasons. It might happen that the reason is not proper stimulation or genetics issues (then combine IVF with PGS NGS). In case the quality of eggs is the issue, then a woman might consider undergoing IVF with donor eggs. Sometimes, surrogacy is the best option that saves time and money.

Avoid IVF and sorrogacy in Ukraine. Clinics there hire shills to post on this site under sock accounts posing as patients. Avoid any centers that advertise deceptively.
