Hi girls-
Well once again this site stopped sending me updates and it dawned on me I better see how you were doing.

Kery- Hope you're feeling well. Tell us the details. ooh, and tell me the heartbeat- remember the wivestale I mentioned?

Rainbow- so sorry to hear about the BFN. But I'm glad you're looking at the bright side and going to work on acupuncture before starting IVF. I, too, needed a breather to get my head in the right place before going onto the big guns. And I, too, feel I'll end up in the nut house if it doesn't work. But right now I'll take it one step at a time. And Rainbow, i don't know how much your insurance covers but my aunt tried IVF 3 times and my sis in law tried twice before success.

My trip to San Fran has been cancelled but instead we're visiting fam in the midwest and then off to Vegas!!! I'm so excited (except dreading the heat). i'll talk to you both soon.

Awesome! I'm glad you feel great with acupuncture and herbs. I'm so chicken to try it. And I think going into the next round with the most positive, healthy attitude is going to help hugely!

Wow girls how time flys. Kery is 17 weeks I though you were about 14 weeks as well. That is great that everything is going well for both of you. I am keeping very busy right now as I am having a pool built and that takes a lot of my time which is a good thing. Kery, keep us updated on how the baby and you are doing. We love to hear baby talk. Not Hopeless, are you home now or still on vacation?

Hi Ladies-
I'm still working...we go on vacation in mid-Aug and will start treatment again at the start of my following cycle... But i have bad news.

I'm so sad right at this very minute, sitting at work... See, I had some work friends over this weekend and after they left my dh said "I think so-and-so is prego." I told him, he's crazy.

But this morning, at work, she told me she is. Not to mention I share a cubicle with another friend who's prego. I almost busted out crying when she told me. And honestly, when my cubicle mate told me 7 mths ago, I did bust out crying. Now, I'm sitting at work and i don't even know how to define the emotion I'm feeling right now.

It's like a cross between anger and sadness. I physically feel hot & bothered and then I feel bad because she's my friend and I should be happy for her. But it's like I'm dying a little inside, you know?

I'm trying to enjoy my "break" from treatment and stay positive for when we start up again. But DAMN I shouldn't have to be "starting up again" at all. I shouldn't have to be trying for the last 4 years and getting poked & prodded. And feeling anxious every 2 weeks and then let down 2 weeks later.

It's not fair. I'm pissed. And I def dont' want to be at work right now. Sorry, I don't want to rain on your parades. But I'm sure you've both been thru this at some point. All my friends are prego and I can't even bring myself to attend their showers anymore. I can barely stomach visiting their newborns. Atleast being at work used to be a getaway for me. And now I'm surrounded by two pregos. Aaaaahhhhh!!!!!

Hey girls
Rainbows yep we have all been there!! For some reason when you are going through treatment there are preggo girls everywhere!! Please remember that one in every six couples will have trouble trying to concieve. When I was at the doctors the other day a lady was sitting beside me. She looked at me and said " you are so lucky we have been trying for years to get pregnant". I really did feel for her, I said "love its taken me two ivf and two iui cycles to get here". She looked shocked and said "sorry but it's nice to hear that I'm not the only one". I do feel blessed that it has worked for me but also sad that it doesn't work for others. Rainbows maybe take a different approach? When our family and friends were having babies I was always there to help out. I babysitted when ever they needed me and I loved it. Now as the kids are growing up they love coming to stay and I spoil them rotten!!! I know it's hard but it did help me!! The whole ivf thing really does suck!!

Hi, Not Hopeless I know exactly how you feel. I have a sister in law that just got pregnant in February and I hate to say this but "I am so envyous of her and I don't like seeing her and everytime I hear about her I say to myself "I hate her". I have seen her once since she has gotten pregnant and she only lives a few houses away from me. She is always inviting me over and I always have an excuse. I know it is mean of me but I just cant stomach her right now until I get pregnant then I am sure all this anger and hatred will go away. My partner will come home and say "Patty went to the doctor today and baby looks fine", then I am like do you have to give me report every time she goes to the doctor? I prefer not to hear it all the time. So I know exactly what you are feeling. I am so glad that I am not the only one. I was feeling guilty the other day because I said to myself "am I a bad person for feeling this way". Well I am sure glad I am not in this boat alone. Not Hopeless, it will get better for us I know it will. We will have our babies. Hang in there with me girl. We will get through this bad stage. Hugs.

GREAT NEWS Ladies!!!!!!!!!!

I just got off the phone with the IVF Clinic in Matamoros, Mexico and I can do my whole IVF for $4,490.00. This includes Consultation, Meds, IVF Procedure and Donor Sperm. This is great. Much better than the $11,000.00 I was going to pay here in the U.S.A. Man there prices here are outrageous. I would have to stay in Brownsville, Texas for 13 days and just drive right over the border into Mexico for my treatment. Only a few miles from the border. Is this great news or what. My doctors name is Dr. Arturo Garza Morales. The website if you want to check it out is www.institutovida.com/ingles Let me know what you think about it.

Hi ladies,
Mind if I join you. I was actually in the IVF thread but then something unexpected happen that I had to abort IVF and go for IUI instead. I don't think I can make it to ER since Im responding poorly to the stimulation. Really need your advice on IUI since Im totally clueless about this. Whether or not the 2ww process of IUI is the same as IVF? What are the things that I can and cannot do during the 2ww process?

I was upset when the nurse told me the she could only see 5 eggs. She asked me to continue the medication with the same dosage for another 2 days. Called my DH and he made a call to the doc. The doc was quite surprised of my poor response. He actually lower the dosage because he though of my young age my body should be able to respond quite well. Well...wat to do, what's done is done. The only solution that I have now is to go for IUI, so I won't waste all the efforts and money that I spent on the injections. It's God's will and I have to accept it. There's always a good reason for everything.

Welcome hommy

Firstly sorry that this cycle has not worked in your favour. My first ivf cycle was cancelled due to a poor response. I have done both ivf and iui cycles and found the 2ww to be the same. With both my iui cycles I did the same thing during the 2ww. I had a bfn with the first then got a bfp the second time. After the iui I lay down for 20 mins before going home. I had to drive myself home as my dh was away. That day I took it easy (no heavy lifting etc) but then carried on as usual. I also had three eggs on my last iui so you have a great chance. I hope that this cycle is the one for you!! What date is your iui?

Hi Kery,
Thanks for your info. At least I know the 2 ww is much the same as IVF. Im going for another scan tomorrow, saturday but I believe the results won't be much different, just that the size may be bigger. And the doc has told us that mostly likely I will just go thru IUI. So if this is the case my IUI will be either on Monday or Tuesday. I think this will be the only way for me at this moment, though I know the success rate wil be low, since I have partial block tube and my husband low morphology.
After IUI, did you take progesterone?

Hi
Yep I took progesterone for the first 13 weeks including the 2ww. I also took hcg shots every second day until I tested 17 post iui. Out of my three eggs only one realised as they did a scan just before the iui. This doctor could also see the the egg had ruptured which meant a egg had realised. With both of you having fertility issues it may make it hard but it my just work for you!!! Could they have unblocked your tube? It's just that my clinic will not do iui's with blocked tubes. I had no fertility issues but dh has only a few abnormal sperm so we used a donor.
