Hi,
I don't have an exact date for my trigger shot but I think it should be this weekend as well. I did a fresh cycle a year ago so I've done the trigger shot before and there's nothing to be nervous about. Just make sure you give yourself plenty of time to get everything set up since this is the one shot that you have to get at a very exact time.

Is this your first IM shot? The IM shots aren't really that big of a deal, despite the needle, they really don't seem to hurt going in, but you might feel some soreness in your muscle afterwards. If you're scared of the needle, ice the area beforehand. And I've heard using a heating pad afterwards helps with the muscle soreness but I've never tried that.

Last year when I did my trigger shot I had to go to my DH's work and we locked ourselves in a conference room LOL DH works this weekend so we might be doing the same thing thing year.

Good luck! You'll do great! :) By the way, if you haven't already, you should come over to the June/July board and introduce yourself...I don't think you're over there but there are so many people on there right now it's hard to keep track. You'll find some great support over there.

belle-02 - I have been really bad keeping up with the June/July board and didn't even realize you were stimming. I just wanted to wish you the best of luck. I will try and lurk more on the board so maybe I can keep up with you and everyone else. Sending tons of growing follie vibes.

Hi Girls-

Getting super excited!! I go back in tomorrow, and then start going every day. Been on EOD schedule for last week. I have 16 follies as of yesterday! A few are in the 15-19 range, so they say I am on track! I can't wait to hear what they say tomorrow.

Belle, thanks for encouragement. I looked at the June/July board, but there were so many people!! And they all seemed to be at very different stages. I felt like it was a little late to get in the game, so I narrowed it down a little. I will continue to peek at it though. I am so excited for you, hopefully we will both go this weekend!

I am not afraid of the needles, don't enjoy them, but managing without ice. I had to do all of my Follistim shots IM in the back, so I am prepped for the big HCG. I am dreading the PIO though, I must admit. My backside does not need any additional lumps

Abogenphol, all right!! Looks like we will be really close in dates! I am sending you tons of good baby thoughts and can't wait for you to give me hints on how to manage through the rest of the week!

I am happy I joined this board after looking at a lot of different ones. There are so many awesome ladies on here!

This is my second cycle and my numbers are going down.

Has anyone out there ever seen your estrodil numbers go down instead of up at the beinning of your cyle. I give myself the Ganal F and Repronex in the tummy and also the Lupron. I am starting to give it in the leg but I just wonder if i am putting the shots in the wrong place.

Got the word that I will trigger tomorrow night (as long as bloodwork in AM is all good)! That makes ER Sunday. That makes me feel good. Ready to get the show on the road, my right ovary is very uncomfortable.

Saunagrl- how did trigger go?? Let us know how ER goes tomorrow. Sending you lots of good thoughts!!!! I saw that you have done accu this time. I do accu as well and absolutely love it. I have been going for about 1 year, and know it certainly helps with the stress level. My clinic is letting my accu come to the office with me on day of transfer.

Abogenpohl- Good luck to you tomorrow as well!! I am so estatic for you. You have a ton of follicles!! A friend of mine ERed today, she said piece of cake! At least at our office she did suggest bringing an iPod to help you relax. I have my hubby working on a 'relaxation' playlist tonight!

I am praying for both of you tomorrow and know that it will all go well!! :o

abogenpohl,
We are in the same boat, sort of. Egg retrieval is scheduled tomorrow as well for my donor. Can you let me know how it goes. I'm out of the loop on that part of the process. We should have our et pretty close together. I'm sending you lots of good luck & babydust your way!! I think my clinic transfers 5 day blasts- so maybe Weds for me. Take care!

Corineh-I do my Follistim stimulation shots and Lupron in the stomach, so I’m sure you’re fine there, I’ve never done shots in the leg so I’m not as sure about that. When in doubt, ask your RE.

abogenpohl-good luck with your retrieval tomorrow!

Saunagirl-good luck tomorrow!

Daisy106-good luck with your trigger tomorrow!

I’ve been in for bw Monday and Wednesday and my numbers were going up. I go in for my first follicle us tomorrow morning, I’m really excited to see where I’m at compared to last year. I’ve felt kind of bloated and crampy so I know something is going on!! If things go like last year though I should be triggering on Sunday night and than retrieval on Tuesday.

Good luck ladies!!

Hi everyone!!

My trigger went ok....I couldn't get all the meds out so of course I was freaking out but within 30 min. I was cramping and my ovaries felt sooooooooo heavy!!!! My retrieval was this a.m. and I'm in so much more pain than the last time....and they only got 4 eggs :( I don't know what happened to the other 6 or 7 they said I had....but we only need one, right?! I'll get the call tomorrow to see how many fertilized and when the transfer will be. My doc came in after to see how I was feeling and saying what he'll do next time to push me more....any other time I would feel very negative about that, but he said flat out that docs are always looking into the future so I'm still positive. I just don't want to have to do this again (but obviously will....I just want to be a mom, as I know you all know how I feel), and insurance will only pay for 3 times, but I can't focus on that right now!!!!

Trying to stay positive.

Good luck to everyone!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Happy Sunday to everyone!

Saunagrl- Congrats on ER! That is exciting. Four is enough to get the job done, don't stress! I am sending you all good thoughts for your updae tomorrow.

How did everyone else do on ER???

I did trigger last night, b/w this morning, and we are set to go tomorrow morning for ER. Seems like it took forever to get here, but now it is finally here! Told DH it is his time to shine as well. Hopefully the vitamins have helped, but we froze some as well a month ago. Sure we will be all ICSI. Ovaries are so heavy and 'crampy' - ready to get these fussy follies into the dish to do some dividing!

Hope all you ladies have an awesome week!!

I just got word today june 15th that all 6 embryos are doing terrific and that 5 are at 8 cell stage and 1 is at 4 cell stage they are actually pushing my embryo transfer to thursday the 18th related to how well the embryos are doing and to make sure they are at blastocyst stage. I convinced my dr of 4 embryos :D wow hoping that will increase my chances because I am suspected to have an egg quality issue and I have already suffered 4 miscarriages and would sure be ecstatic to have these empty arms filled with bundle(s) of joys. god bless you and keep me posted on how your retrieval went today. good luck and try to relax. Amanda

Just got home from ER. Very weepy. I was told 15 follicles at last U/S. Was hoping for 10 eggs, and they only got 6. I hope that is enough, and now I am totally upset that I won't have any to freeze. I know that people have less, so I know it can happen, but news was still hard to hear. Had total breakdown right at clinic. Great. I am normally a totally rational person, so I keep telling myself that it is just the hormones making me act crazy. Transfer is set for Thursday as of right now. I just want the call tomorrow to hurry up and come. Maybe all 6 will fertilize?? I was hoping to transfer 3, and have a few to freeze. I just need to trust and put it in God's hands.
