Where there's a will there's a way is what they say. Working out really helps with your energy too so you can manage the busy lifestyle. (I know that's exactly what I need to get my energy back so I can manage my crazy life) Sorry about your job security and fingers crossed it works out.
Nancy- So exciting only 6 more weeks. It will go by fast. I'm curious as well since I still haven't bought one and really need to get one. I normally do all the shopping and I've been out of commission since October.

-Kat- I laugh as I read this since I'm on the couch, completely exhausted- after a 9 hr work day followed by a session with my personal trainer. But my baby is on my lap and I couldn't be happier!
Lou--- 1 beautiful baby girl from a single 8 cell embie in Sept 2011
on monday we got home after being out running around feeling fine the whole time, got home at six pm and i was feeling my lower back hurt some, so i asked dh to massage my back. i threw up some but nothing significant. thought it was the fast food we had for lunch. oh well dh asked if we should go to the hospital and i said no coz i was not in pain just uncomfortable. Well he packed his bag and told me he better get his rest incase we go in. so i stayed up watching tv till 11pm. i went to bed feeling fine. woke up at 12 in pain. i was cramping on and off. i told dh and he again asked if we should head to the hospital and i said i think its just braxton hicks they will send us back. i laid back down and lol they kept coming back to back. so i decided to time the contractions. 7minutes apart. i told dh they are 7min apart and he said we should go. well i gave in and by they time we got to the car they were 5min apart. the hospital is about 30min drive. well on the way there i was looking at the clock and contractions were 3min apart. boy was i scared. when we pulled in i was registered and send to ld. the nurse checked me and said i was 7cm dilted. no time to waste. i asked for pain meds but she told me they have to register me and wait for the doc. so i was moved to a delivery room. they did not even have time to start an iv. i asked to use the bathroom and was told they will not let me go incase i push out the baby. the nurse asked me to lay down but i was in pain i told her to wait for the contraction to end. lol my water broke. the pressure was so intense. two nurses helped me to the bed and the nurse said, there is your baby. what a happy ending a little boy.
NW, Congratulations on your new son! Your story brought tears to laughter and I must say this is the best birth story I have EVER read! Congratulations again, I look forward to seeing some pix too.

WOW NWQUIZ WOW!: What a birth story indeed....what time was your dear boy born? So amazing how quickly you labored....I am glad that you didn't have him in the car!! Can you imagine how DH would have reacted?! So happy that all turned out well. Are you and baby boy home "resting" now? Are you BFing? How is everything going? So happy for this blessing. You, me, we have all been through so much. I am just so happy, as you said, to have this "happy ending". Neverending congratulations to you!!!

margi i envy you as a sahm. wish i could do the same but dh is only part time so no choice for me. sweatpea lol you are so good. am fighting to get 8 weeks as much as possible.
yes it was a crazy day. and dh now jokes and says it was almost a car delivery. well we left the hse at 1.30am arrived in the hospital at 2.10 and he was born at 2.52am. arrive in ld around 2.30am. so yes that was crazy first.
we are home and am breasfeeding. my breasts are so sore it makes no sense. last night i had to wake up and take a very long midnight shower to relieve the pain. he is not a big eater and that is worring me coz i have so much milk. Any advice ladies how to get him to eat more? oh and his name is kenneth.

nwquiz: regarding your milk supply: when it first comes in, you tend to become engorged. It should slow down in a few days. If it your bb's become so hard that little one cannot latch on, you can either pump or hand express some so that he can latch. I had a difficult time for a few days and had to pump. However, within a week, things evened out. If your son is falling asleep while trying to feed and not, therefore, eating enough, try undressing him. It helps keep them awake to feed.

thanks mamaboo for the heads up. he has already lost to 6#10z and the doc told me today i have to take him in every 2days for wt checks. he is falling asleep while feeding so i will try that trick and yes the engorgements. lol that is so painful. nowonder he cannot even feed. i will try and see how that goes. the pain is making me think twice each time its time for a feed.
NWQUIZ: Congratulations again!! Kenneth is ADORABLE!!! I can't believe "Snow White" the celebrity let us know her baby's name...LOL....he really is so precious. Yes, BFing isn't as easy as one might think. Especially those early days. For me it was all pumping all the time since my LO's were in NICU, but I got engorged nonetheless--and OWEE. But hang in there, the painful engorgement doesn't last long.
Alisa: CONGRATS!! ....I snuck over to the 2012 babies and saw your posts about Evelyn's arrival!!! Sorry it didn't go "as planned" but as you said, she is here and healthy and that is the most important thing. And it seems like you made the most of the experience and were able to experience the joy of her birth regardless. You and DH are positively glowing. SO, SO happy for you both. Enjoy every minute and take care of yourself as you recover!!

margi that is so funny. snowwhite has to be caught at one point right . lol dh made the same joke about the name and me posting since we did not even tell out parents till he was born. lol you ladies must be lucky. esp you margi my cycle buddy and that secret baby dust that was shared.
yes whoever said when it rains it pours said it correctly.
alisa congrats on little mama.hope you are recovery well to enjoy that bundle of joy.i cant trade mine for nothing.
for all the other mamas hope you guys and lo are doing great. enjoy each day.
Nwwhiz-Kenneth is so cute!! Congrats again!! I used a heating pad for my engorged boobies and mine got so engorged once the pump wouldn't even latch. It took Lucas 10 minutes to latch but he eventually did and relieved the pressure. Breastfeeding is so not easy at first, but it does get better and easier. I had to use lanolin a lot the first few weeks to for the nipples ouch!!
