hi all. i agree with all of you about the 12 week mark to tell people.
even Drs agree that once you make it through the 1st trimester, you're in a safe place, atleast as safe as it gets ;)
i too will wait another 5 weeks to let friends/extended family know- keeping fingers crossed that everything ...

wow Amazu! you could hear the HB at 6 weeks?!! that must have been cool.
in my case, they did not use a doppler, only a regular transvaginal U/S, so i really do not think they trying to hear it, only look at it.
from what i've read in my countless internet searches, most people do not hear it until ...

babyloves- i "saw" the heartbeat, not heard. like a big white flashing thump thump on the u/s monitor. i guess the hearing part will have to wait till much later :)

it's a singleton and we are sooooo excited, i still do not believe it actually happened!

i think i'm on the same schedule too like amy and rhall. i too got my bfp on 7/18, beta of 390, 2nd beta 7/21- 1469!! so it makes me 5 weeks n some.
1st u/s is on 8/5- man! i can't hardly wait.
i've been pretty symptomless, did have a little pooch though, kind of like i get on the 1st day of AF ...

hang in there floridagirl. i know you are going through a really trying phase. i just wish they made a test to check sooner rather than make us wait for 2weeks and lose our minds!

Marynaz- don't get nervous, it will all go great-( i know it's easy for me to say now, right?! :) i was a basket case in my 2ww and before that,) but try to keep as calm as you can

i had my 1st beta hcg bloodwork this morning and I am over the moon..........BFP!!! going back again on Monday for next test.
I'm sooooo v excited. To anyone who is in the 2WW: please DO BELIEVE in the posts that say "I really did not feel anything in my 2WW" or " I felt like AF would ...

oh yes and i've had mild cramps since yesterday, more like twinges in my right ovary. RE nurse said not to overthink it ( but what does she know! just kidding! ) :P ...

going fwd

hi all,
another update from me. these past few days have been a whirlwind-appts every morning for U/s and E2 levels. E2 has been rising steadily and my doc is happy with it. 2 more follies decided to grow but they're really not at the optimal level. ( 14.5 and 11.5mm)
I had to make the decision ...

newbie

i'm a 1st time ivfer too- thought i'd tell you all my story :)
my DH has impaired sperm motility-we tried some supplements which improved his motility a little, not much though :(
I also have a low antral follicle count , 8 I think and I'm only 29!!
We tried 1 IUI which failed and now have moved on ...
