Hey Girls, Glad to hear everyone is doing so well.
Misty - I did end up changing OB's. I went for my first appt with him today. He does a low quality ultrasound every visit since he doesn't trust the doppler to pick up both babies and be sure he's not getting the same one both times. So that is ...

Bjones- I am soooo happy for you. I am so glad to have to eat my words. I am glad you hung in there, although the five days had to be the longest of your life.
Welcome to the twin club

AFM- Had first OB visit (with nurse practitioner (NP) and ultrasound. Both babies look great, I can't believe how much they grew. I could see their head and butt, even the brain and little buds for arms and legs. Baby B even moved for us. How totally cute! I finally heard their heartbeats for the ...

BJONES- You were 5w6d on your ultrasound yesterday. You should be able to see at least something in the sac, unless your doc has a really poor quality u/s. Even then, they will see something, but just not in good detail. The fact that the sacs are measuring two weeks behind is not a good indication ...

DillysGirl - Welcome to the club. I guess there really is twin dust going around! Congrats!
It's funny that people are asking about the meds because I was going to ask you guys a question about that as well.
I am currently on PIO and estrodial. I started at 2cc of ...

Misty- Forgot to answer your last question about whether anything can be done. What they will tell you to do is go on bedrest. There is nothing that can be done to prevent m/c at this stage.
The reason that Labor & Delivery units don't take pt's under about 20 weeks is that the fetus is not viable ...

Misty- Bowels are all in the same area, so sometimes an irritating stool (one that is dry and has a lot of fiber) can make you feel like cramps. If you weren't pregnant, you wouldn't think much of it and just try to go #2. Since our bodies are increasing their blood volume by almost 3 times normal ...

Tonya- I love that you have a "Tickler" now-
That gave me a good chuckle this morning.

BTW- I never throw up, but I do get nauseated sometimes and it is mostly in the evenings...I even told my husband I don't know why they call it morning sickness?

Take care, Melanie

Misty-
I had my first u/s at 5w4d. I am having twins and was very shocked. My RE does the u/s's so he was showing and teaching me what stuff was. The sacs were very easy to see, as you know, black circles. The white lines are the fetus. That's why I call them my "rices" because in that photo they ...

Lisa, I also did not want twins. We tried 4 years for baby #2 (have 6yo DS). First IVF we put in two day 3 embies, which is fairly conservative-bfn. Then we did an FET with 1 day 5 blast, for exact reasons your stating. bfn again. So this past FET we did 2 day 5 blasts figuring we needed to up the ...

Hello- Got my Swine flu and seasonal flu vaccine today. I was debating a lot as to whether to get these or not, but most of what I researched pointed to getting it. I have a 6 year old in 1st grade and I was afraid I would at least get it from him. I had him get it also and he was not a happy camper ...

Hey Girls, still having a lot of cramping and spotting. I have to wear a panty liner...go figure..I thought I was done with those days. I was really worried but had an u/s today and there were two perfect little heartbeats. The babies look good so far and I am being relieced to my OB. RE looked at ...

Hey Girls, Sorry I have been MIA the last several days. I wasn't feeling too good. Yesterday was my worst day yet, just felt so tired, and I was a little nauseated. Monday I was just plain tired from my crazy wedding weekend. I guess that shaking of the booty caught up to me
Monday I was ...

Hello Ladies, hope everyone had a nice weekend.
BaileyGirl - Congrats and a huge welcome. Your number is really great, but don't know if you read one of my previous posts about asking your doctor for what you want. I recommend getting at least two betas. This will assure that your little one is ...

Thanks guys! I changed my next appt to next Friday (was for Thurs) b/c it was more convenient for hubby to come at noon during his lunch break, and doctor said the longer we wait the more we'll see. DH couldn't make it to U/S today...so I handed him the ultrasound photo to break the news. He knew ...
