Hi Riley1178 - congratulations! That is wonderful news.
Our beta is not until Friday, 5/22, but tonight I caved and took a HPT. This is our only shot at it, as we don't have any frozen ones in reserve, and we just can't spend any more money if adoption is going to be the end result, as that costs a ...

Thanks Summer! I will head on over to the "egg head" section. Congratulations on your pregnancy! I am also hopeful we get lucky on our first DE cycle, as we don't have any frosties, and cannot afford to keep going this route. . .

Calling all stories with donor eggs!

Hello all ~
I'm in my 2ww after my first IVF attempt using donor eggs. My IVF attempt with my own eggs was cancelled due to poor response to meds. (FSH of 21 and diagnosed with early menopause, but everyone tells me I can carry.) We got 22 eggs out of our 24 yr old donor, 15 mature, 14 fertilized ...

Angeinhull:
Hello - I know that here, there are guidelines set forth by the ASRM (American Society of Reproductive Medicine), but the ultimate choice is yours as to how many embryos or blastocysts to transfer. Most of the things I've seen recommend no more than 2 blastos transferred, so I was very ...

FAITH77-
Hi! I have experienced about the same thing that you have as far as symptoms go.. . . I had some cramping in the first few days after transfer. Felt like menstrual cramps. Yesterday and today (Sunday) they have mostly subsided, but I don't think that's anything to be afraid of. It sounds ...

Hi Kelly - that's great news about your twins! It's amazing what a little boost from similarly situated strangers will do. :) Thanks for sharing your story. I had 6 IUI attempts and one IVF (failed to respond to meds) before being clinically diagnosed with early menopause at 33. So donor eggs were ...

Faith77 - I am curious to know if either of your other 2 were able to be frozen? We just did our first transfer (using donor eggs) on 5/12. We had 3 pretty good blastos, 1 still "compacted" but not a real blasto, and 6 morulas. So we transferred all 3 blastocysts. We found out the next day that none ...

Success with IVF blastocyst transfer?

Hi everyone - long story very very short:
I am 37 yrs old. I am unable to produce good quality eggs but I've been told by everyone that I can carry. My husband & I just had our first IVF transfer, (5/12) using donor eggs from a 24 yr old. 3 of the 14 fertilized eggs got to the blastocyst stage - so ...

Thanks everyone!

Wow - it's a wonder what kinds words from others can do! Thanks. I am starting to feel more positive today. I think I was so down due to learning about having no embryos left in reserve. . but that doesn't change the fact that I have 3 donor blastocysts in me right now. Anything is possible ...

Had my transfer yesterday - and this is unbearable

Hello - I am brand new to these forums but have recently benefitted very much from the info and thoughts expressed here. Long story short: My mother was in menopause at 38. At 33, with no boyfriend/husband in sight, I tried unsucessfully with 6 IUI attempts on my own using donor sperm. Had ...
