Re: New Here and Currently Going Through IVF #1

Hi - long time, no talk...

The 2WW was killing me, so I tried to stay away from the boards, to keep my mind off everything.

But, Thursday, I broke down and POAS and it came back negative. I was in such a foul mood all day - even though I knew it could be wrong...but I couldn't help it.

Today, I ...

Re: New Here and Currently Going Through IVF #1

Hi everyone!

So I received a call on Monday from my doctor - one of my 3 embryos didn't make it through Sunday, so I was down to 2. She recommended I come in that afternoon, instead of waiting for a day 5 transfer (which would've been Wednesday) and do an immediate day3 transfer of both embryos ...

Re: Ovarian Hyperstimulation Syndrome (OHSS)

Hi Timber -

I saw your post in the February / March 2011 Cycle buddies - then found this one from you!

I am experiencing many of the same symptoms you have described below. It hurts to laugh, sneeze, cough, etc. - and I have the hardest time lying down flat. But I'm also having a hard time ...

Re: FEB / MARCH 2011 Cycle Buddies!! can't wait!

Good evening, everyone...I was just reading back through all the posts today - and wow, it's been a really tough day today.

My heart goes out to everyone here, that received such disappointing news today. As many have already posted, there's simply nothing that can be said. You all are in my ...

Re: FEB / MARCH 2011 Cycle Buddies!! can't wait!

So I just got back from my ET!

I was sooooo anxious, nervous, you name it - I almost wet myself! Didn't help I had to have a full bladder, to boot!

Ultra sound came back great, too - no extra fluid build-up...which I honestly, almost felt better immediately after the RN told me that (still had to ...

WeHaveHope: What wonderful news! So glad to hear that relief is in the near future for you - and more so, that you won't need to be hospitalized!

Re: FEB / MARCH 2011 Cycle Buddies!! can't wait!

Good evening everyone!

Got the call this afternoon that my ET will be on Wednesday, 3/2 (day 5 transfer - technically one day behind, since my ER was on Thursday 2/24 - but they had to perform the rescue ICSI the following day, which pushed everything out)!!! Now to only make it through the next 3 ...

Re: FEB / MARCH 2011 Cycle Buddies!! can't wait!

Thanks everyone, for all the great advice! DH went out immediately and bought several bottles of Gatorade - here's a toast to feeling better soon!

We went out for dinner tonight, but man, I'm having the hardest time getting any of my pants buttoned...not even my "fat" pants fit - which is so not a ...

Re: FEB / MARCH 2011 Cycle Buddies!! can't wait!

Hello everyone! *waves to all*

Would love to join you - as I'm right in there on timing for Feb/March...

DH and I have been TTC #1 for 5 years now - he is 35, and I will be 35 on 5/1.

Up to this point, my doctors have been unable to determine where the issue is - for 2 years, DH was originally ...

Re: New Here and Currently Going Through IVF #1

Update: Just received a call from the doctor's office - they said they were able to fertilize 3 eggs via rescue ICSI!

Now, I'm just waiting for the call on when my transfer appointment will be - which could be as soon as tomorrow, but potentially on Tuesday (day 5).

3...

Re: First timer

Hi there -

I just completed my first egg retrieval (IVF #1) yesterday, 2/24. Like you, I have a SEVERE fear of needles...no joke, I can handle just about anything else, but needles, and have been this way since I was a child. In fact, I couldn't even have my DH administer the injections, as he is ...
