Re: Ghost, should I be worried I'm going to miscarry?

Thanks everyone! I appreciate the reassurance. Thankfully, I'm not spotting anymore. And I have another sono next week so hopefully we'll see that little heartbeat again and I'll feel better! Good luck to anyone who's cycling now!

Ghost, should I be worried I'm going to miscarry?

Hi Ghost and others! I'm now 6 weeks and 5 days pregnant with a singleton. After doing a frozen transfer of one 6 day blastocyst, my initial HCG level was 1228 and went up nicely. At exactly 6 weeks, after going on a power walk I started bleeding (not bright red but maroonish red. It wasn't a huge ...

Re: Should I be worried about my high beta number?

Thanks for the encouraging words, Brit1612! I would be honored to share our story if this pregnancy sticks! (hoping, praying, and crossing fingers. Repeat three times...and repeat again). I'm 39 and we did a single embryo transfer so it might give "older" moms some hope! Today, we had our first sono ...

Re: Should I be worried about my high beta number?

Good luck, Brit1612!! I really enjoyed your blog-it gives IVF'ers so much hope! I have my first sono tomorrow so I'm quite nervous. But my beta numbers are still rising nicely...my second beta was 4712! Isn't it funny how you stress so much about getting pregnant....and then once you get pregnant ...

Re: Pregnant after IVF miscarriage or infant loss

Hi ladies. After losing our first IVF baby in September (at 6 weeks), I'm ecstatic but so nervous because we are pregnant again. (5 weeks). I know there's nothing anyone can say to help with the nerves. I just want to hit the 12 week mark! One thing that I'm excited about is that my initial beta for ...

Re: Should I be worried about my high beta number?

Thanks for the reassurance, Brit1612! It's just hard to believe this one might stick after having a miscarriage the first go round! Congrats on your little boy. Aren't they wonderful? I have a four year old boy that I love to pieces and am hoping to give him a lil' brother or sister. I have my next ...

Re: Starting IVF 39 - scared

Thank you so much!!! I spent all day freaking out over my initial beta of 1228 but I'm off the ledge now after realizing that I tested pretty late (13 days past transfer) AND our blast was a 6 day emby so really, I'm 19dpo so the number isn't off the charts! It's funny, you spend all these months ...

Re: Should I be worried about my high beta number?

Annashope and Ghost,
Thank you for your replies! I finally feel relieved that maybe this is a viable pregnancy! It's so hard to get excited when you've miscarried before. Annashope, I think you're totally right...I was miscalculating. I'm actually 19 days past ovulation so my level is actually ...

Re: Should I be worried about my high beta number?

Thanks, Ghost! I just googled molar pregnancy (can't help myself) and thankfully, I don't have any of those symptoms so I'm not going to stress about that just yet. Just wondering, since I had a 6 day blastocyst, could I have implanted early? Or could I be carrying identical twins? I've also heard ...

Should I be worried about my high beta number?

Hi everyone! Today, I got my first beta results back...1228! I'm shocked and a little worried. Just for background. I'm 13dp6dt (I'm a relative newbie at these terms but I did a FET on 12/23 with a SINGLE 6 day blastocyst). The nurse said that was a strong number and I should be very happy. The RE ...

Re: Starting IVF 39 - scared

Welcome! This is my first post but I wanted to reply because I'm 39 and my birthday's in May so I know exactly how you feel! Just for background, we conceived my 4 year old son naturally but turned to a fertility clinic after trying for a year for baby #2. We are considered, 'unexplained' as my ...

Re: Ghost and others please weigh in: 1 emby or 2?

Thank you Leora and ghost. I appreciate your input. Leora, you are a strong lady. I can't imagine going through everything you've been through. I will pray that cycle #8 will be successful. It's so hard because what works for one person doesn't work for another. Ghost, I plan to call my nurse ...

Ghost and others please weigh in: 1 emby or 2?

Hi. My husband and I are scheduled to do a FET on 12/23. We are struggling with whether to put back in 1 embryo or 2. For background: I am 39 and have no known issues other than a slightly lower progesterone level. My husband's sperm is really good so we are considered 'unexplained'. We conceived ...
