Re: Only 2 eggs retrieved...

Well, I wish you the best and hope that you have better luck than we did with our cycle. Went in today for my follow-up ultrasound and they confirmed the ectopic (tubal). It's large enough now that they'll be taking my tube as well. I'm going under the knife this evening to make sure they get it ...

Re: Only 2 eggs retrieved...

It hasn't been a good couple of days. Had a scare yesterday with some terrible gas pains, but that's all they were. I took some TUMS and they settled down.

They didn't. They just said it happens sometimes. The only risk factor I have for ectopic is that I used fertility drugs to get pregnant. When ...

Re: Only 2 eggs retrieved...

I'm so sorry! I didn't mean to upset you. I talked to the IVF specialist (the nurse) a little more when she called with my levels tonight. Everything, just like last time, looks perfect. Estrogen: 2767, Progesterone: 180, HcG: 8959. I also asked her specifically if they checked my tubes. She said ...

Re: Only 2 eggs retrieved...

Each doc is different! Mine is by turns very aggressive and very conservative.

Right? We were lucky that DH had vacation time to burn and that his boss was understanding enough to allow him the time off.

Just had my first u/s today at 6wks 5 days and it wasn't good. As far as I know my HcG is ...

Re: Only 2 eggs retrieved...

We may indeed have triplets! And it will be a blessing. Also a headache, but mostly a blessing. I'm thinking that with our beta numbers (33,84,391 then 2630 at 3wks post-transfer) we're looking at a singleton. I'm also hoping for twins! I still have hope since betas aren't the be-all-end-all, but we ...

Re: Only 2 eggs retrieved...

I think we did. The RE I'm working with is pretty aggressive, but he also gets good results :) We did do ICSI. I'm sure they would have let us go without it, but given hubby's issues they suggested ICSI from the get go and we were more than willing to pay a little extra if it meant possibly not ...

Re: Only 2 eggs retrieved...

Thanks! I'm excited and nervous and trying not to get too baby-crazy until we make it to 12wks. I am working on the assumption that everything is going to be peachy keen, but I don't want to be devastated if something does go wrong. It's hard to temper emotional reactions when you're on enough ...

Re: Only 2 eggs retrieved...

You sound exactly like I did three weeks ago.

This was my first IVF cycle and as far as I knew everything was going great. I stimmed fast (9 days Menopur/Bravelle) and they said my estrogen was so high at the time of trigger that I didn't need the HcG trigger and should use the Lupron instead. At ...
