In need of an advice

Hi to all ladies, I am terribly muddled and anxious. I have recently found out that I have luteal phase defect. I live in UK which means I’m entitled donor egg IVF if treatment starts before my 40th birthday. I will be 40 in less than 6 months. I have a relative who is considering egg donation to me ...

Re: Cost of IVF – driving me crazy

After all these insights given by others, there is really nothing much to say. One point I would like to make. Upmarket high charging clinics also have the best doctors and state of the art testing equipment. When it’s a question of bringing a small bundle of joy to the world, do not compromise with ...

Re: Hysteroscopy and IVF cycle

Hello nancy and louise. I have been through a similar experience. Had hysteroscopy and after 6 months, went through an IVF cycle at BioTexCom in Kiev, Ukraine. I opted for a reasonable and affordable “double” package with two IVF attempts with donor eggs. It was successful the second time around. I ...

These doubts can best be cleared by your doctors who will evaluate your health conditions before taking a call. Whether you can try IVF again depends on a number of factors such as your age and the quality of your eggs and embryos you can produce. The condition of your uterine lining too is very ...

Failed IVF - What should I do?

My husband and I have undergone 6 IVF treatments and all of them have been unsuccessful. We have even used frozen embryos the last time around. My husband’s sperm quality is ok but I have blocked tubes. What should we do now? A fertility agency has suggested one of the following options – Continue ...

Re: Need advice – starting on egg donation

I would like to add to what 1 has said. After multiple failed IVF cycles here, my husband and I had almost given up the thought of having children. However a friend suggested that we try clinics in Ukraine as they are the best in this line with high rates of successes. I was informed by their ...

Re: Carrying twins once, can it be repeated?

Thank you all for your suggestions and advice. My husband and I have decided that we will take up one embryo transfer at a time. That we feel will also be better for me as this is my first pregnancy. After hearing you all, I am having apprehensions about having twins. Thanks once again.

Re: IVF with pre implantation genetic diagnosis (PGD)

I really got a lot of insights going through the experiences of 1 and 2. Hi 1, it is really interesting that you can bank embryos. For me, whether I get one or more embryos tested, it costs the same as I pay per PGD cycle. Hello 2, can you tell me whether it is possible to get around the chromosome ...

Re: Surrogacy or IVF in Europe

What a coincidence! I have been to the same clinic in Kiev, Ukraine and it was a truly wonderful experience. The doctors were caring and very supportive. We opted for the “Ideal” package, where after two unsuccessful attempts at IVF, we were automatically transferred to the Surrogacy program at no ...

Carrying twins once, can it be repeated?

My husband and I are not able to decide if we want to transfer 1 or 2 of our only embryos. We are having a number of concerns. Is opting for twins more of a risk than having one baby? Will there be any additional medical issues. And most importantly, if I am able to go through the full term of ...

Re: IVF with pre implantation genetic diagnosis (PGD)

Hello Loretta, I am 38, just short of your age. Last month I had my 3rd ER. Every time we have gone through ICSI and PGD. This was to make sure that that we could foresee any problem with abnormal embryos. The ICSI was done because my husband had a few morphology issues. As for me FSH and AMH are ...
