After a very worrying night, I woke up to a call from the lab saying I got 9 fertilized eggs! Then later in the day, one more decided to come along! 10. I almost fell over. I'll be 43 in September and was told by so many people (and doctors) that I waited too long. So anyone out there who's over 40 ...

Had Egg Collection this morning

I am new here. It's so wonderful seeing all the support you all give to each other. I'm 42 and just had my eggs collected this morning. I changed docs because the last cycle of IVF I got 19 eggs and all were immature/none fertilized. My new doc said it was due to some mistakes made. This morning I ...

Definitely very big follies. I was kinda hoping it was a doc's mistake (plucking too soon) than my old eggs, but I guess I have to admit I'm not a spring chicken laying farm fresh eggs anymore. We'll see in September. I'll be checking on you this weekend and sending you tons of fuzzy, warm ...

Thank you all for your kind words and encouragement.

Pixiesmom: I may very well have the same problem that you have. I found out today that the three mature eggs that we did ICSI on had too many nuclei. The 12 immatures didn't fertilize right either. None of them got even close to being embryos ...

19 eggs with not so good news...

Hi All,

I haven't posted much on this site, been so focused on the process. I just had my eggs retrieved Monday morning. Woke up happy to discover that 19 eggs were plucked. I had high hopes until my doctor just called to tell me that 12 were immature and only 3 were mature. 2 fertlized wrongly ...

Joining up for June!

Hi All. Thought I'd ask to join your group. I'm on my sixth day of Follistim/HCG moving toward retrieval around June 19th. Injections going well. They told me I have 6 follicles on one side and 5 or 6 on the other, plus five that are a little behind the others. Not sure if that's good/normal/bad for ...

Yes! I'm getting a pop up telling me there's a trojan type virus. I don't know what it is, but clicking OK gets rid of the pop up and blocks it. Good luck!

Thanks for your replies! I'm out here in Los Angeles and I guess there are a lot more of the single mom types around here. I have four different friends in similar situations doing IVF this year, one because of chemo, three others who (like me) were done waiting for Mr. Amazing to come along--so to ...

Happy, shiny and New! (For now...)

Hi, I'm Val. I'm new on this site and am looking for other women on the same journey. I'll be making my babies on my own, choosing the single mommy route. I'm 41 and have always been focused entirely on work and career. Love my work. Never had time (or interest) in the baby-thing. Until it hit me ...

state of mind

I'm brand new here. I'm on my fourth day of "stimming" and feel great so far. I have PMS under normal circumstances and was wondering if these drugs have any emotional side effects...or if it's pretty smooth for most people. Thanks!
