Thanks

Thanks for sharing your personal experience, Denise. And may I add, yikes! It sounds like everything turned out OK, but an Apgar of 2 is kind of scary. I wonder if that's typical of this kind of delivery....all in all I am still not sure whether to request a scheduled C-section. I really do not want ...

Thanks for info!

Thanks for the info, Laura Lou. So much of what is known about breech birth pertains to singletons, where it's definitely not advised, so I'm not sure what to request. But this gives me some confidence that I can likely avoid a C-section if I give it a go. Congratulations to you on your twins!!!

Thanks for the information, Richluv. The dr. said they wouldn't try to turn the baby if it didn't turn on its own - they'd pull it out feet-first. Have you seen that? More important, have you seen anything bad happen to twin B during a breech extraction?

Vertex-Breech Twins

Hi fellow future moms of multiples -

Do any of you know much about the safety of a vaginal delivery for vertex-breech twins? I'm 32 weeks along and Twin A is head-down and a few ounces larger than B. Both are average size for their gestation. There are a couple of studies that suggest a breech ...

10 weeks tomorrow...

Hi guys,

Big J, thanks for looking up the jogging info. I used to run 15 miles per week before treatment so a slow mile was pretty light for me. That said, I have gotten out of shape so it wasn't easy, and my stomach felt too bloated the other night to try it again. The only reason I did it is that ...

Worrywart!

Hi girls,

Well, last week I gave in to my worries! I went from very sick (though no puking) to perfectly fine. After 4 days of no symptoms I called my doctor and she told me to come in for a quick scan. Said the little one looks almost a week further along than I am and is active, so not to worry ...

Waiting game...

Hi Ladies,

It's always fun to read about good scans...living vicariously I suppose! Am 9 weeks tomorrow and have to wait 3 more weeks to see if s/he is OK! Agree with Caroline, we'd all like a daily scan.

Lav, I wouldn't worry about skipping that scan. Honestly, at your age the odds of Down's are ...

stopping shots

Hi ladies,

I know there are some posts about this elsewhere, but was curious about your personal experiences? When did you stop shots? I was told to stop at week 9, no blood test or scan scheduled to check anything prior to stopping. Does that sound reasonable to you? I've heard that sometimes ...

Protein helps diminish the hunger

Hi ladies,

I'm so jealous of you all moving over to second trimester! That means you can share the news with everyone....and feel pretty confident that baby is here to stay.

Had a scan today and met with the dr. She was not concerned about the hunger pangs. She suggested protein, and I discovered ...

extreme hunger

Hi friends,

I'm exactly 8 weeks, and for the past several days I have been experiencing an unremitting hunger. No matter how much I eat it never fully goes away, and within 30 minutes of eating it's back in full force again. I can't even sleep! Can this be normal?

Help me -- extreme hunger pains ...

At last, some good news

After the saddest, most stressful week I can remember, I finally went in for my scan and the doctor said the little guy/gal had completely caught up! I'm still terrified of being too happy but yet am really happy! Can't believe it, really: they had told me we needed to be ready to discuss the D&C ...

trying to cope

Thanks for your kind words, ladies. I agree: "abortion" is such a horrible word but I used it because that's what they wrote down as my diagnosis.

My hcg came back fine for 5 weeks 5 days -- 10,600 -- but I called a good friend who is an infertility doc in another city and she was willing to give ...

Threatened Abortion -- Any Info/Encouragement Appreciated

I had my first scan today (5 weeks 5 days). Though they detected a sac and a pole, the size was much smaller than expected (i.e. it looked 4-5 days earlier than it is). They told me to come back in 1 week for another scan, but things are not good. I had an HCG test also and will get the results ...

It's doubling

Kim, thanks so much for the words of encouragement! I had my test today and it's 720, consistent with a doubling every 24 hours. Can't believe I get to have my scan in just a week! Hard to imagine they will be able to see anything 25 days post fertilization but I guess they know what they are doing ...

early symptoms

Hi,

Are you on daily progesterone shots? I was, and these gave me cramps that feel like typical menstrual cramps (beginning the day of transfer and they haven't stopped yet). I also had lots of clear discharge.

Me: BFP yesterday 12/29! 1st IVF, 2TTC
