Free NHS treatment in Somerset

Is there anyone out there who is going through IVF following funding on the NHS in Somerset? I would like to know what the current funding and criteria is for this area?

Alette,

Really good to hear that you have another shot. Everyone has their cutoff point where they feel that they have given it there best possible shot and to have that taken away would make you wonder for the rest of your life "what if".....my cutoff point was 5 ivf's also as that would have been ...

Hi Jill,

I seem to be in exactly the same boat as you. After 5 ivf attempts I found out in October that I had raised FSH, so our only other avenue is Adoption. I have just sent off for information packs but haven't got any further. We live in somerset and there is a general meeting we hope to go to ...

Becky,

I have just come onto the site after a long time away - couldn't really bring myself back here until now. Anyway, 5 ivf attempts and then told ovarian reserve low so we are now considering adoption.

So pleased to see that you have passed the panel - life must seem exciting again? I would ...

Hi Bron,

So sorry it's not worked for you this time (but please still test). It's very cruel especially as it took you so very long. I hope that it won't be so long next time. Like you say the statistics are always about right - it really is just a numbers game from the time they are transferred ...

Thanks for the good luck but AF arrived this morning!!! I'm so devastated, don't know how I'm going to go into work - it's a new job which I don't like and I don't know the people and to make matters worse I have to go out with them all tonight and be nice and friendly. Tears are welling up all the ...

Hi Jen,

I know just how you feel. I am also on my 3rd go since December and I'm also on my 2ww test on Thursday(if I go that long as usually get AF before) - you are only a few days behind. I don't know how I am going to cope if this one is a negative - I think this will be the end for us as well ...

Hi Girls,

Well only 6 more days to go for me (and some of us). Nickie & July Ann , like you, since the first 3 days I've not felt anything, just tender boobs. No more twinges or anything - but then I don't think we would anyway. The danger is as you feel so well that you over do it. I'm back to ...

Hi Nat,

Good luck with your cycle - the 2ww, especially the first one, is a killer.

I'm now on my 5th and am really chilled!! You know what to expect.

Basically don't read anything into any twinge or odd pain you get (unless of course you are doubled up and really sick) you will just drive ...
