I am scheduled for my beta tomorrow, but contemplating putting it off until Tuesday. I have taken over teaching a college course when the regular instructor became ill and tomorrow I'll meet my twenty teaching assistants for a weekly training. Seems like a bad idea to get bad news right before that ...

What high highs and low lows in just the last few pages. Congrats to all those that got that darker line or an official beta.

BEI - Hang in there. It will happen eventually. I hope you are feeling more yourself soon but it is ok to be mad and sad for a while.

My beta is Monday and I have little ...

Hi Ladies,

I have not been on this site for almost 2 years now, but I am in the middle of a fresh IVF cycle in my 2ww and I am going crazy. Up for hours last night. The crazier thing is that CT_Michelle was my cycle buddy then my pregnant buddy for our first kids and now our beta is on the same day ...

Lostgirl - I know breastfeeding can be tough and frustrating but everyone I know that had problems at first said it got better by 6 weeks....both mom and baby finally 'got it'. I don't have trouble with Andrew latching on but right now he keeps falling asleep and I am in a little bit of a bad habit ...

Hi Ladies. Sorry it is so long between posts sometimes, but I am alone during the week and I just don't seem to have time to feed Andrew, do laundry, cook and clean the house and catch up on computer stuff. I don't know how mom's do it with more than 1 kid...and now I am super happy we DIDN't have ...

Lostgirl - So glad that you and Odinn made it through ok. Every time I hear a story like that I am really glad that we are living in the age of C-sections and that the story had a happy ending. We complain that 30% of births are c-sections, but in Roman times 50% of women died in childbirth! I know ...

Lostgirl - I'm thinking about you. Actually, I check the site 2 or 3 times a day for news...hope all is well.

Doreen - sounds like everything is really good on your end. How is this experience different than previous ones? Did all your 'mom' skills come back? (I ask this because I was amazed ...

Lostgirl - I keep checking the site for your big news. I know that you are trying to be patient but it must be tough. Hang in there. You will join the ranks of the sleep deprived soon enough....

Doreen - Congratulations to you and DH on the arrival of Michaela Skye. I couldn't load the shutterfly page (javascript failed to load the page correctly was the error message...any ideas?) but I'm sure she is beautiful! Enjoy these first wonderful days before the fatigue sets in ;)

Hope all is ...

Doreen and Lostgirl - ONE MORE DAY. Well 1 day for sure for Doreen and hopefully less for Lostgirl. I went to a prenatal yoga class the day I had my first contractions (that night) and I just remember that nothing felt good.

Elca - my lactation consultant told me to stay away from processed sugar ...

The question of 'how am I' has a different answer depending on when you ask it. I am ok now, but was up from 11pm - 6:30am and a bit grumpy I must say. Andrew sleeps all day and is up most of the night. The nurse at the peds office says that this is developmentally normal (though didn't give me a ...

Hi Ladies,

Our first unsupervised night was ok...of course he cried and was rather unconsolable for the first time since birth! I fed him 3 times in 2 hours and he would settle if we held him, but not if we put him down. We ended up giving him some formula which he didn't actually swallow much of ...

Lostgirl - an intrathecal (a shot that goes into the spinal space) is sometimes called a 'walking epidural' because it doesn't totally numb your lower half. The pain dissapears, but you can move your legs with difficulty. It wears off in 1-3 hours and must be done again if you require longer relief ...
