pregnant naturaly after ivf tretment?

Post by langton »

hi there everyone

ovbiously the injections we are having boost our hormone levels.
i have heard the injections can keep you fertile even after treatment, and many women have caught a few months after treatmant naturally.
something similar happened to one of my cousins. she was infertile, they went through 2 goes of ivf, they were blessed with a son thomas. ttc 5 years. satisfied with one son. they never thought in a million years they would ever concieve again. thomas was 5 and a half months she found out she was expecting with a natura pregnancy

Has anyone heard of this. or has it happend to them? ive got a feeling the % maybe quite high.

Hayley

Anyway, yes i have heard that it is quite common to conceive whileyour going through ivf, must be all the extra hormones and eggs flying around

How are you hunny?

Well alot of women on this site test 14 days after egg collection, which is when they get fertilized, whereas my clinic told me to wait 14 days after ET, so i really dont know when to test.

I have felt a bit sick tonight, probably nerves, but staying positive.

DH is being a complete s**t, we havent slept in the same bed since ET, he is down stairs on the sofa again tonight, i hav not argued with him as i dont think it is good for me at the mo.
He is trying to give up smoking so i think he is struggling with that, still no excuse.
All i need is a big cuddle, but my cat will hav to do for now until dh snaps out of it.

Im so glad you are going ahead on friday, i just know you will have lots of pwerfect eggies.

Hi there,
I am 11 weeks pregnant naturally after conceiving Annie via IVF (she is now 15 months). You do see it pop up quite frequently on this site, there are a couple like me at present.
All the best
Belinda

Hi,

I am 9 weeks pregnant naturally after having a son through fertility treatment (who is now 9 months old).

I am still convinced that I would never have conceived naturally prior to the fertility treatment. Believe me we tried very hard.

I think your body changes hormonally after pregnancy. It's almost like the ovaries wake up and say "ok right - that's what I'm meant to do is it?"

I guess it's true for the fertility drugs too. Some of us just need to kick start those ovaries into action.

Good luck to you all with your treatments.
