Hi

we were on a transport system where we saw a consultant near us in Crewe but went to LWH for the transfers. after 1 abandoned attempt followed by 4 failures, we're now at LWH for everything, under Mr Kingsland.

I've not warmed to him that much but to be honest you don't see much of him as you see nurses and embryologists most of the time.

We're more impressed with LWH in general than we were with our previous clinic though. they seem much more organised.

Have you had your appointment yet? Best of luck to you.
9 failed attempts using thawed, surgically retrieved sperm.
2 year break and vasectomy reversal for dh.
Consultation for 10th attempt using fresh sperm - Nov 09.

Hi nat
Have been seeing Dr Kingsland for over a year now for various tests but only had my 1st consultation with him yesterday for my 1st try of ivf.
Seems to have taken forever for yesterday to come then when it did it seems i have still a long wait ahead before we can start.
Waiting for af now so i can have my bloods done but the nurse yesterday told me that after that af i have to wait until the 23rd day of the next af before we start DR. Any idea why?????
So far i have found him very nice although i think he needs a rocket up his bum!!!!!!
Cheers for the reply

hi

i don't see why you can't start downregging on your next day 23. if i were you i'd give them a call and ask why you have to wait until the next time. are you nhs? it may be that they won't have a date for your egg collection and embryo transfer for a while so they're putting you off. we're private (have to be cos dh's fault he had a vasectomy) and at my last consultation on the 20th march he said i could start on day 23.

good luck!

Hi Nat
I am a private patient also with Dr Kingsland and he told me on my consultation that i could down reg on day 23 but i just phoned the nurses station and they said that it would be on day 23 of the following period.
Something to with the blood tests taking 7 - 10 days to come back and by that time they will be seeing other people so i have to wait another month.
It is soooooo frustrating, i had booked some time off work aswell but that will all have to be cancelled now.
Feel like moving to another clinic but that will probably hold me up even longer. So sorry to moan on hun. Just good to get it off my chest
Take care

i know exactly what you mean, the waiting is so frustrating and i am a really impatient person anyway! what i always do while waiting is socialise as much as possible cos when you're on your drugs you can't really drink and you won't feel like going out much so make the most of it now and then you'll be happy to rest when the time comes.
