High FSH -- Follies??
High FSH -- Follies??
I had an FSH of 14.2 I knew it would be difficult to stimulate my ovaries but I started meds and three days later had my first ultrasound no follies were found. Is this normal??? How many days does it usually take to see some follies. Please tell me your experience if you have a high fsh. I am only 34. And this would be my first child.

Just thought I would reply to you, I too had a high FSH 17.4 and was shocked when they told me, I have been on the highest dose of Gonal F 450ui and they managed to get 6 eggs, in the end they decided to do ICSI but could only do this on 2,the others were too imature. Only 1 of these fertilized and I had this transfered this morning. I am 39 and hubby is 50 and I never thought I would have had this FSH problem. It has been nail bitting stuff, waiting to hear if my little embie has made it through the night, but to get one to transfer as amazed me and I feel its all been worth it. I am praying my embie will decide to stick around as this would be our first child also.
what meds are you on?
Please don't worry to much, I am sure they will up the dose if they can.
Have a look on Boosting Follie Growth on the General Forum, someone added that you could get some tablets to help, but ask your Doctor first.

High FSH
Wow Congratulations! I wish you the best of luck. I am on 2 Viles of Follistem and 2 Viles of Repronex. My husband is 53 with a visectomy so we are doing ICSI -- I put off having children thinking I had plenty of time and was also shocked to hear my FSH level. I am also doing acupuncture which is suppose to help. I am on day 6 of med and go tommorrow to see if the follies are now growing. This is so emotional. I thought I was ready but I feel huge on these meds. Did you have any side effects?
