Hello all! I will be 23 weeks on Monday and I had a my sonogram done last week. I am having a little girl. On my routine sonogram they were checking all the organs and they noticed that my daughters kidneys were slightly dialeted. They said it wasn't much of a concern but they will continue to monitor it. They said as long as it's under 7cm it's ok and hers were 2cm. Have anyone ever heard of this? I was reading about it and they said it's more common in boys. Any help would be appriated. As a first time mother of course I worry because I want her to be healthy.
A friend had this with their first child, a boy. They were warned that he might need some treatment after birth but infact he was given some antibioctics and didn't need more than that.
I hope everything goes well for you and your daughter-to-be.

Thank you so much for your help. I talked to my doctor again yesterday and she said that it was so slight and they see it so often and not to worry. She said they see it with the natural development of the baby. So I'm going to keep praying for her that everything will be ok.
