bleeding early on

hi all

i am 5 weeks pregnant today and had slight bleeding. bright red with a tiny tiny dark clot. it was just on the paper, i ahve been knicker checking since but nothing more

the doctor says to sit tight till scan on 24th may, unless bleeding comes heavy or painful. he also said blood can come from different places (cervix etc)

i was so happy and felt in such a panic . my bubble really burst.

anyone have similar? i know it's common but it's good to hear it from others!!

Lumi,
I was one of those who bled(brown discharge, turned dark red on 2 occasions)until i reached my second tri.
Hang in there..I'll keep everything cossed for you..I know the worry we go thru..

I too had a brown discharge, and some red until I hit 12 weeks. All is fine now. Hang in there you will be fine.

Lumi,

I had the exact same thing happen - a little bright red blood on the tissue paper, and two small purplish clots. I panicked and got right in to my doctor. This was at 6 1/2 weeks - I had an u/s and everything was fine - I got to see the heartbeat!! I know how much it upset me so I know how you feel. I had absolutely no pain, cramping or anything. Just the slight red blood. And I haven't had anything happen ever since then. Sounds just like your situation and mine are the same so you are probably fine. And if your doctor doesn't sound worried - that is another good sign.

Try not to worry - it really is very common!

I had the same and actually am 13 weeks and had some bleeding, however both beanies were just fine. Try not to worry, I will not tell you to not check your underwear every time you go to the bathroom....I still check the tissue everytime and will continue to do so until they're born

Lumi,

Hope are fine. Bleeding/spotting seems to be very common I'm afraid. Take heart from those who have had it and all has been ok.

When I was pregnant with my son, I spotted, bled and had cramps and clots - brown and red. It lasted until about 13/14 weeks and he's now a bouncing two year old.

I'm pregnant again and have spotted for the last month. Despite having done this before and having had 2 good scans, I'm still stressed out my head! Try not to worry and take it easy. It's easier said than done.

I had more bleeding on Saturday and DH and I were convinced it was all over. We went for an early scan this morning and saw TWO BEANIES!!!

We are really in shock that things seem okay. It was too early for a heartbeat but they were both pulsing. There was no blood visible around the sacs. Complete shock!!!!

So were are now very cautious but optimistic.
