hiya hayles 8)
welcome to the promised land
im pleased to be the first person to welcome you to this forum seems kinda apt to me :D
when you hav 6 wk scan you will find out basicly how many sacs you have 1 sac could mean twins as could 2 sacs but also 1 sac could mean 1 baby
early possitive doesnt always mean twins though as you know charlie had very early very possitive hpt but just the 1 baby
would you like more than 1??
you wont hear the heartbeat that early babes
think u gotta wait till around 12 wks for that if i remember correctly
you will get your 1st picture of you baby though at 6 wks
although ours looked more like a frog than a human
we are so very pleased for you
you are pregnant
has it sunk in yet???
take care richard

Hayley

CONGRATULATIONS, it might be worth you joining in the 1st tri thread on this forum, there are people who are just a little further on from you and can answer your questions and support you through the rest of the journey.

At my 6 wk 3 day scan we could see the fluttering heartbeat, didnt hear it, other than that there was not much else to report. also at that scan they can tell whether 1 or 2 and where it is situated.

all the best

Congratulations Haley! It feels like the twilight zone doesnt it to have finally made it! So happy for you! Enjoy the pregnancy. You may be able to see the fluttering of the heart, usually from around 6 - 6.5 wks they can possibly detect this. At 7.5 weeks, I could see and hear the heartbeat (I will NEVER forget the day!) and little buds for arms and legs already forming! Incredible!! All the bst to you. Enjoy the pregnancy :)

congratulations!!

it is so exciting and i know how strange it feels to be on this side of the board.

however, please dont do as i did. i had a little red spotting and spent a weekend in tears, assumed it was all over, planned my next cycle (in my head).......then found 2 perfect little sacs and hearts beating strong :D

so, IF things look bad.....dont stress. I am sure all will be okay for you, as is for most, but just incase!!!!!

Congratulations Hayley!

It is quite exciting when you get over to this chat board! I am now 12 weeks and the shock still hasn't worn off. Every day I feel blessed!

I had a scan at 7 weeks and saw the heart beat but didn't hear it. I just had my 12 week scan and I didn't hear the heartbeat at that one either. My sister said its about 16 weeks you first hear the heartbeat with the midwife. I can't wait!
I was trying to hear it with a stethoscope today at my mums and realised it was probably too early!

My symptoms have been all over the place, like noone I know in my circle of family and friends so I worried like hell. It was such a help to come here and be reassured by people who were the same as me!
