Since I last posted, we were actually pushed to a day 6. On day 6, two of the embryos were morulas and one was a full blastocyst. They out in all three. Our bloodtest is this coming thursday. However my wife has been experiencing sore, tender breasts, blue veins in her breasts and has had some spotting and cramping. Are we looking too much into this or could this be signs of pregnancy?
thanks!
Might just be side effects of the progesterone and estrogen she's probably taking for luteal support?
Thanks again Ghost. Afetr 16 retrieved, we only had one blast on day 6 and that is what they put in. 11 didn't make it, 4 stalled out at morula and they recommended not even freezing them. I do have another question though...Since I started with 16 eggs and only ended up with one blast (that didn't get there until day 6), if I have to do this again, should I go for a 3-day or still try for blasts?

Thanks so much!
Some would say yes, day 3 is better if your embryos are not making it to the blastocycst stage. Others would say, if the embryos die in vitro or in utero, it makes no difference. One key question here is whether the uterine environment is still better than the current state of culture environments. There is evidence that it is. The other key question concerns why your embryos are arresting development. If it's because of some environmental factor, then earlier transfer might help. If it's because of some problem within the embryos, and I understand most embryos simply cannot succeed under any circumstance, then there is no saving them with any procedure.
