hi ladies ...i just have a quick question about the first scans ...i had a little upheavel as some of you know in the beginning of the week i was bleeding kinda heavy so my OB ordered a progressive hcg (no idea what that is) and an ultrasound, he expalained not to be disappointed if they didnt see anything but the saw 2 sacs and what look to be the start of yolk sacs ..ok thank god i guess thats good...i hope thats good . they showed me as 5 weeks 4 days which was what matched up w/ the transfer dates good i hope??? and im going in on friday the 23rd i will be 6 weeks and 4 days does anyone know what i shoud expect to see if all is well? ...i keep telling myself not to look forward to much and be excited ive had alot of bad cramps and bleeding but i am curious about what i might hope to see?? dumb question im sure but any input would be great!!!! thanks and congrats to all !!! ---kelley
Congrats Kelley! Such a stressful start to such a wonderful experience! There really must be someone up there who wants to prolong the anxiety! Sounds like everything is good, so just wanted to say congrats to you! My first scan was at 7.5 wks so a little bit later, where baby was 1.6 mms and even had little buds for the arm, and could make out the head and body (How amazing is that!). At 6.5 weeks, not sure how much you will see but I know they can potentially detect and see the heartbeat this early, which is like a big flickering flower about a 1/3rd the size of the baby! hey mel thank-uou very much I am very nervous and waiting with anticipation !!!!! im hoping for good news tomorrow and promised myself if all goes well i will go start a ticker and try to enjoy this!!! thats my goal I have been extrmly blessed with all the advice and positive thoughts and hope to be able to do the same!!! 19 weeks almost to the halfway point congrats I am truly happy for you!!!---again thanks for taking the time!!! -----Kelley
its official...well sort of ..i have a very on track 120 heartbeat little baby i can honestly say my heart stopped for a second..lolol there is a little bit of complication but hopefully that will resolve itself but neither my ER or my OB are nervous and congradulated my husband and i and my due date is february 12th!!!!
